"Spirit is 'overperforming'"
No duh, because Survivors are weaponizeing the DCs you absolutely refuse to address, AGAIN, Devs!
Every single Survivor match I've had against today Spirit has had at least one DC or intentional suicide because they know you will continue to reward this behavior instead of learning how to play against her.

I had no DCs recently when playing Spirit, and no DCs when playing against Spirit. Played like 6 times vs her today, no DCs.
And well, overperforming...Spirit is easy to play. She is low effort, high outcome. I would call that overperforming, when all you need to have is some ears. Like... I have ears.

I dced against spirit today because I actually had to go. Not every dc is “weaponizing the dcs”.

They are very very lazy. Nerfing one killer is easier than buffing low tier killers. The biggest problem is map design most killers will be solid when all maps are reworked to badham level.

Nerfing the top killers is the fast way to please the majority of the playerbase.
Personally, I only believe Prayer Beads are an issue with Spirit. That's it. I like playing against them.

Survivors DC and suicide against any killer, not just Spirit.
Then I get to decide whether I want to sit around while the remainders to gens and leave or if I want to kill them so I can quickly move on to a new match where I can hopefully play the game for real.
I usually let them go. Guess that's the right decision, don't wanna be skewing the kill rate.

Doesn't survivor dcing already show the problem?
People don't want to play against her, because she isn't enjoyable to go against (for many people).
You aren't the only that can have fun in the game you know.

I think you misunderstood the word "overperforming" here. Let me explain my view on spirit (I recently started to main her): she is piss easy to master. And it's piss easy to stomp survivors with her. Compared to nurse (I WAS a nurse main till the nerf..) it's actually very chill, I drop survivors left and right and don't have to sweat at all. Low effort but HUGE reward. On Nurse, I had to sweat my ass off, constantly do right reads, survivors could react and bluff, LoS fakes, enough time for dead hard, difficult buildings, deal with buggy blinks etc...
While on Nurse you have to put several hundreds of hours into her to be extremely deadly against swf (and even then some swf groups can stomp you no matter what) as spirit you just need like 10ish hours to stomp every team. That's why she's overperforming, everyone can destroy teams without having much skill. The only thing you need is average - decent headphones.

Translation: I'm the only one that's allowed to have fun.
People didn't dc as much against nurse and she was more powerful than her. Because nurse is actually somewhat enjoyable to go against.
If something isn't fun ,then it needs changing, period. She doesn't have to be nerfed to the ground to become enjoyable to go against . She doesn't really need nerfs at all except some of her addons. She just needs some changes to make her enjoyable to go against.

Im pretty use to having games like THIS where I get instant DCes. Not sure if they should really be counting these as kills. I actually started putting these in a sidefolder on my PC...

I get intentional DCs at lowranks (rank 15-16) playing crap like Pig or Plague... There sure are a lot of DCs these days. These are intentional DCs since they DC in my grasp after Ive downed them.

Actually, I don't see many dc's these days. I've been constantly going against spirits and none of my teammates dc'd. Just went against a prayer beads ebony mori spirit and no one disconnected. Very surprising.

overperforming is because most matches with spirit have a DC, making the game a insta win for the spirit because of 3v1 from the getgo

If you cannot accept that she needs changes, then you only care about your fun. Like I said, it doesn't need to be nerfs at all except some addons (mainly prayer beads).
I don't condone dc'ing and don't do it myself , but I get why people dc against spirit because they aren't having fun and yes, those people also only think about their fun :)

From what I understand, the devs have the option to remove matches where someone DCs when looking at a killer's performance. Why don't you ask them to do that so that you can see that she still overperforms even when DCs aren't taken into account.

Because you end up removing alot of matches where people DC because they got stomped. Run a killer for 5 gens and 5 ft away from a 4 man escape? Would sure be a shame if the killer DCes right now and nullifies it... Same goes the other way around.

If someone is stomping their feet because they dont like something about a video, the behavior shouldnt be rewarded...
Dcing is a bannable offense and shouldnt be rewarded...

It makes no sense DCing after you get stomped, at that point you can just suicide on hook. No, these people are DCing at the beginning of match, after they get first downed or even earlier.

You say that, but Ive seen plenty of killers DC after the last gen pops. On the other end, Ive had plenty of survivors DC while Im carrying them to the hook. Had a game 2 weeks ago as Bubba where the entire survivor team spawned together... Downed em all within a 2 minute window, just for them to DC 1 at a time as I went to hook each.

Yeah she isn’t enjoyable to face but not everybody feels the same way. Gutting Spirit is not the answer. I despise Ghostface but I’m not gonna DC against him everytime I see them.
It’s so annoying to see people act like Jendenise and say “Dc AgAiNst EvErY SpIrIt” and ”ScReW EvErY SpIrIt MaiN“. It’s just whiny and pathetic (not pointing at you specifically, just the general playerbase).
She needs small changes...and I empathize the word SMALL. She doesn’t need any major changes. Just more counterplay.

Survivors shouldn't be rewarded for DCing. Just today I saw 2 people DCing against Billy, 2 DCing against Ghost Face, 1 DCing against nerfed Nurse and 1 DCing against Plague.
Like, all these killers now need nerfs because survivors are DCing agaisnt them ?

To be fair, you were using Swing Chains and Red Paint Brush. People are going to DC from that because it’s “not fun” and “boring to face”. Which I agree with, but I still won’t DC from it.
A majority of the Freddy players I face run those two “fun” add-ons.

Most people hate playing against Spirit but I'd argue that Freddy is way worse. He slows down the game way too much from progression to movement speed and it just gets on your nerves after a while. I hate people that dc but I understand why they did it in your games as him.

The screenshots i took were DCes from people who hadnt even seen me yet. For all they knew, i went in perkless. I know people hate going against "forever freddy" each game with 4 slowdown perks, but as you can see from my screenshot...that wasnt the case. I think my slowdown is rather modest really.

Half of Freddys addons feels like they fall under the catagory of slowdown, either by slowing action speeds or boosting regression values from failed skillchecks. I do think its funny though how people assume the worst of these 2 addons. Without crunching numbers, youd assume they were crazy strong. it reality... The difference in gen repair from no swing chains and everyone being asleep WITH swingchains, making it at its strongest... Goes from 80 seconds to just under 90.

They're complaining about your build in both screenshots so they definitely knew who you were. Also, weasel+surge with chains and paint brush isn't modest at all. That build is specifically used to slow the game down.

They DCed within 15 seconds, cant figure out a perk loadout THAT fast without seeing a killer, lol.
Once again...its modest when you look at actual values. Surge is 6.5 seconds and Pop is 20 seconds after each hook. Most people are going to run some sort of slowdown perks, I just try to do it without ruin. As far as the addons goes...They havent released any that actually benefits his snares really...

It isn't modest when it all adds up. Also, having a killer use weasel when you're almost done with a gen is almost like getting dsed or getting flashlight saved as killer. You add Surge and couple that with snares, projection, add ons and it isn't fun to play against.

Pop is pretty much the only reason to even kick a gen anymore. Typically its not worth the time to kick a gen without it since survivors will often time tap it right after. Your gonna find it on most Freddys since Freddy teleports to gens and it naturally synergizes with him. Hook a survivor, see which gens are being worked on with BBQ/thrilling tremors, teleport to it, kick it and chase whoever was on it.
As far as DS and flashlights... I face those all the time. I still dont DC as soon as I see obsession claws pop up or something, lol.

That's the reason why they dced. Survivors know right off the bat what kind of build Freddies use because it's always the same and it also shows what kind of add ons he's using when survivors are asleep so they don't have to play for long to figure it out.
At least DS and flashlights you can play around it pretty easily but you can't play around Weasel or Surge and that's whats frustrating about it. That feeling you get when you repair a gen at 95% only to go back down to 70 then 45 and so on is the worst and it happens a lot against him.

Use whatever you want but what i'm really trying to say is don't be surprised if survivors dc when you're using a top tier killer with the best perks and addons.

Survivors definition of fun is killers they’re can 1v1 and stomp on.
Killers don’t have fun playing the weak killers against all the strong perks and items survivors can bring, to have games end in 5 minutes because it’s not physically possible to move between generators fast enough to pressure them; only to be BM’d at the exit.
The killers I find fun to play against are the scary ones that can actually make me feel threatened like Hillbilly and Spirit.
Its boring just doing gens without feeling threatened at all and it’s boring feeling like the killer can’t catch me if I can reach any of the ridiculously strong and safe loops, pallets and buildings.
And no, not every time survivors win was it a bad killer player which is always the excuse.
Survivors win, the killer was bad.
Survivors lose (or DC because they think they will) the killer was OP.

I honestly don't know since I never played reworked Freddy but I think just replacing weasel with something else would be great since you already have pressure with dream projection and addons to slow the game down so weasel is really just overkill in my opinion.

Thats kinda the predicament. I already use STBFL for better chase potential, and since I actually like to play pallets instead of swing through em and break em all... brutal strength, fire up, enduring andn spirit fury arnt for me. Typically killer perks come down to Chase perks, slow-down, tracking and "other" (perks like mad grit that dont really fall anywhere else). Since my goal isnt to break every pallet, that leaves me with just a handful of chase perks, which I use STBFL for that. BBQ handles my tracking for the most part, letting me have back to back chases most of the time. I'm left with 2 slots, and i unless bodyblocking becomes a thing again, im not gonna need agitation or anything like that. I'd be running either slowdown perks, like sloppy, thanaphobia, pop, surge, ruin, ect...or instadown perks like devour, haunted ground, make your choice, ect.

I think using just 1 slowdown perk like sloppy, thana, or ruin is fine on freddy since survivors can play around it and isn't too strong. Just replacing pop with something like devour or blood warden would make it a lot more fair. Of course, this wouldn't be the best build for him but that's the point, otherwise people are gonna ragequit.

Im trying to avoid totem perks for the sake that they get cleansed very quickly. Pop is a reliable perk, which is why i picked it over ruin. Bloodwarden is pretty much useless anymore since most ppl 99% the gates until its time to go. If I down someone and open a gate myself... Thats just announcing that BW is gonna hit, Point being though... my build is coherent to the character as well as well rounded. Unlike other Freddys, you dont see 4 slowdown perks on my build, lol. I say coherent in that it makes sense. Theres a reason you dont see nurses using brutal strength and bamboozle for example, lol.

Your build is pretty typical of an avg Freddy player except for Surge but it's arguably better than Ruin. I'm just trying to say that you don't need the best perks and addons to do good and have fun, especially on one of the best killers in the game. Just seeing the same op builds over and over again is inevitably going to make people toxic. Since you are a Freddy main and I'm not, it's better if you figured out what works best for you. If you prefer using that build the most then I can't change that since it's your opinion and you know more than me about Freddy.

I'm actually pretty surprised to hear that other ppl are using surge and STBFL, let alone that they're considered meta or something. Pop and BBQ just seemed pretty obvious. BBQ gives me an idea on which gen to USE the teleport on so I'm not just randomly using it. Pop makes sense if I'm teleporting to a gen that's been worked on and hasn't been affected by surge. Surge affects gens near where I downed the person, while BBQ shows me a target far away...
Point being... I try to think of synergy when thinking of perks for each killer. My builds are different on my Myers than on my Freddy, my Huntress, my clown ect. Their powers work good with different perks. It's like how I wouldnt tell you to run no mither and fixated together, in an attempt to avoid strong builds and make the game more fun for the killer.
I also forgot to add... I can't use any perks that have anything to do with TR for obvious reasons. Monitor, distressing, unnerving, infectious fright, ect... Doesn't work when Freddy has no TR to sleeping survivors.

I said the perks your using are common except Surge. As for STBFL, that's used a lot in any m1 killer.
Keep in mind, I'm not trying to persuade you to use a weaker build because I don't want killers to be too strong and make it more fun. You asked me what build you should use to make it fair so I gave my two cents. Just know that if you keep using that build then expect people to ragequit from time to time and try not to fire back at them because it doesn't help.
