Dedicated servers are still absolutely horrible.
Teleporting as killer, nearly all actions are delayed by at least 1-2 seconds. Getting hit through every pallet and vault as the survivor. 40-60 ping in every lobby.
Nice.

40-60 ping is not bad though?
That's like above average ping.

At least you're getting lobbies. I used have lobbies instantly, now I have to wait ~5 mins as a rank 1 survivor and at least 20-30 mins as a killer, regardless of rank.
How am I supposed to play the killer tomes when I have to wait an eternity to find a lobby...

I find hitboxes much better as survivor and playing killer is alright too dedicated were actually horrible last month they are much better now

I still rubberband like crazy with Nurse at 50 ping. I'll just randomly not teleport at times, or find that I have to look at the skybox to get through a rock. Hag feels really bad too

Yes, exactly, while having this low ping the game feels even worse than the old P2P lobbies with 250-300 ping.

Another nerf for nurse i guess

I actually love the servers, killers no longer being in the advantage with their 0 ping as well as me being able to vault windows and not get caught in the other side because of the ping difference is awesome

must be your connection. for me the servers work good.

I always had decent connection in every game I've ever played. I had much better connection as survivor and killer before dedicated servers. Even had a pretty stable connection to US and could play with minor issues on 150-170 ping. I don't know if EU servers are so bad or what but I had much better gaming experience before the dedicated servers came out.

Killer is unplayable, 30 ms and plays like 500 ms before. Much less problems as a survivor, since for every hit i take thanks to the lag the killer misses 5. Maybe wasting some pallets because i throw them early since you cant be sure. People who say that they dont have problems are either lying or to, lets be nice and say too unexperienced, to notice the huge desyncs.

I like to know if we are supposed to be connected to the closest data center regardless of load. Why am I getting high ping lobbies the closer it gets to 10PM Central Time? I can get home at 5:30 play at 60 ping and by 8:00 I'm playing at 150 ping. Are your servers getting bogged down or am I getting different data centers? Nurse is still unplayable with high pings and I still get shutters even at 60 ping. Myer's power is absolutely #########. He cannot stalk male survivors mid range or female survivors on one side of the screen. Where are the hotfixes BHVR? Do we have to wait for the next chapter release to get some improvements to this damn test of yours?

Dedicated servers work pretty well for me for the most part at least in Arizona. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Sorry but since you have 40-60 PING in your lobbies, the getting hit through a pallet and vault is not the Dedicated Servers fault — that's the player's fault. ?

The killer's ping also plays a role. You can have 30 ping to the server but if the killer has 180 ping they are seeing the survivor's position 90 ms ago from the server's PoV. Since killers have authority over hits, a hit on the killer's screen can be viewed as being hit through pallets on the survivor's.

That's not how things work because it's not based on the killer anymore, it's based on the server now.
For example, survivor A vaults with 40ms (PING), and the killer A lunges for a hit with 100ms (PING). Let's assume this is a close call where connection matters.
This is what happens on a timeline:
Let's assume it takes 200ms for a survivor to vault and 0ms for the killer to lunge for a hit, bare with me for a second.
At 0ms: Survivor A presses a button to vault a window.
At 40ms: Survivor A input reaches the server and begins to vault the window.
At 150ms: Killer A presses a button to lunge for a hit.
At 240ms: Survivor A completes the vault and is now safe from the killer.
At 250ms: Killer A input reaches the server and lunges for a hit, but since survivor A completed the vault, killer A whiffs 0ms later.
If you look at the timeline above, the survivor took priority — not the killer. Now, if the killer had better connection, he would've gotten the hit. Seems like Dedicated Servers are working as intended because it's now based on your internet rather than a player host.
Now, I could be wrong, but this is how I was told Dedicated Servers would be like. ?

I was just about to make a thread about this. I'm sick of this. As killer, I miss one out of three hits because they're teleporting, or I am. As survivor, I miss skill checks because of the half second stutters.
Worst is the infinite loading screens AFTER the match. Some days it's bad enough that I need to use task manager to force close the game after every match I run.
My rig can run this game on ultra comfortably, and I have a solid connection. When killers would host the match, I had no issue. As survivor, so long as they had green and low yellow ping, I had no issue. But this dedicated failure? No.

Pretty sure thats what is cratering the playerbase right now

If that were true the killer would never get a hit. The server keeps track of the delay between clients. When the killer swings the server checks if the survivor was at the position half the killer ping ago. If the survivor was it registers as a hit.
