Legion. Lery’s. 1 DC. 2 sacrifices. Stomped the hatch. EGC starts.

I find the last survivor, Jake, at the gate pulling the switch. Not even halfway done yet. He lets go, but I’m feeling generous. I nod my head and back up to a safe distance.

He opens the gate. The sweet breeze of freedom blowing through his hair. He looks at the field. He looks back at me and —starts butt-dancing!?!? Yup! That’s right. T-bagging the guy who’s letting him win. I nod again trying to encourage him to leave.

He drops his toolbox. Picks it up. Drops again. Starts inching closer to me.

The punk! I inch closer to him. He wants to take a hit. Fine, I’ll give him his hit!

Ooooooh! That’s right. I forgot to tell him I had NOED!

Screw this. I hooked him.

Poor guy, sounds like he wanted to give you some BP before leaving.

I can’t speak for all survivors but I usually thank the killer for sparing me by t-bagging and dropping my item as an offering. It’s pretty hard to differentiate between the thank you t-bags vs the actual ones, but it’s a known thing.

I loved that story amazing. I never care about if i have 4 kills as long as i get 1 or 2 im fine if they played well (not just a simple gen rush) the times ive downed the fourth and then been like "nah i feel nice this was too easy" thats when they dc ive never experienced the butt dances when im being generous.

    As for noed well...

I almost never run noed the times i do i dont use it goes for all the situational perks like unbreakble etc i never have them when i need/want/couldve used them but when i dont need them or anything thats when i try to use them.

He was saying thank you and trying to give you a few more points. How else is he supposed to say thanks?

  • saiisam
    saiisam Member Posts: 33

I was merely letting you know that he probably meant to thank you, especially since he accompanied the tbagging with the dropping of his toolbox. Most killers acknowledge this and aren’t salty about it. To each their own I guess.

A slow tbag and dropping the item is usually a way to say "thank you" - just saying.

He may have been, but I usually stand near the edge - still in the game, but close enough that no funny business can happen - and WAVE the killer to come to me. That seems a lot friendlier than teabagging.

Not my thread. That scenario has never happened to me with somebody leaving an offering.

I'll be sure to consider what you said if it ever does.

I usually t-bag twice slowly as a "thank you" and move my camera to nod when given hatch by killers and most seem to get it. Take notes guys, slow t-bag is friendly t-bag

Doesn't sound disrespectful, just sounds like he was having fun and saying thank you.

When I play survivor, I usually crouch once or twice to say thanks to the killer. (Or I'll spin if I'm in the dying state.) It's not teabagging, it's just the closest thing I have to bowing or showing deference or something. A lot of survivors will let me hit them once or twice before they leave. Even if I do down them, I let them crawl out of the exit while nodding or spinning at them.

Other ways survivors say thanks is by crouching and nodding, crouching and looking up at the killer, and dropping their item on the ground. Context should usually give you a hint of what they're trying to signal.

I had a guy carry me to the hatch and throw me down beside it a short distance away. It was pretty nice! A second before I reached it, he shut it and hooked me. I'd teabag him in life for that. Early Grey his chin with my cashews

    Friendly teabagging?

    Is that a real thing?

A killer tried to do that to me. Any time a killer drops you away from the hatch, they're gonna close it on you. I always drop the survivor directly on top of the hatch; there's no reason not to unless you're not actually gonna let them escape.

When the killer tried to do it to me, I just stayed where I was while he kept swiping at it. He finally gave up, closed the hatch, and then repeatedly hit me while I was on the hook.

I think I should clarify a bit after reading some comments here.

In this case, it was fast t-bagging in a circle.

The drop and pick up of the item occurred multiple times and he was holding it when I hit him, so I don’t think it was an offering. (I should have mentioned this earlier, but didn’t want to bore you guys with repeated descriptions of drop and pick up 😏).

Also, as for NOED, I don’t usually run with it, but I prestiged my Legion during the bloodhunt and didn’t have much to choose from, so this was my best bet at the time.

Finally, I was unaware of this whole “thanking” thing at the gate, so I’ll be more conscious of that in the future. I’ve had people to 2 quick squats before jumping into a hatch that I give them, so the message is clear there. At the gate, same should be the case. It’s time to start the next match, so squat twice and leave. The whole circle-dance item-drop can be taken the wrong way if you prolong it unnecessarily.

To answer the title. I do not like the unbearable hypocritical charity of the dominant. And especially when their name is Judas.

I only accept the safe things (like being placed directly on the hatch), and without thank you at the end of the game. Otherwise, Alt+Tab, waiting for the killer to have fun alone and to end the game.

Had that from a Killer aswell, he chased me almost 7min and after dropping the godpallet the billy just hit the pallet and naughted. I though he gave up and wanted to meme around, I savely come to him, after he broke the pallet me and a other survivor naughted with him. Then he rav his chainsaw, kills the surivovr next to me, after that he tried to chainsaw me, unluckily he hit me, tried to dodge. And then he tryharded and slugged the last 2 survivors and killed everyone.

Idk why, I dont care I died but it was still sad that he had to pretend to be friendly to get his kills. Well gues he just outskilled me.

Every single time I want to give someone the hatch, I will punch the wall telling them to stop struggling.

That's my way of saying "Struggle and you will get hooked."

Most of the time, they just kept struggling. If they just stopped I maybe would've been able to find the hatch for them.

For me personally, I think its scarier if the killer frees the last survivor after killing three of their friends. Just bringing them to their escape and telling them to run... Run... Because Freddy's coming for you.

Just had a killer let us leave, only to slug me and my teammate as we were heading out. For my teammate... she picked up and pulled closer to the exit. For me...cypress mori, lol.

I will never understand why people get so triggered by butt dancing.

Me? Many times I have let the killer just whack me and kill me/hook me if I felt he had a bad game. Maybe some people just have some pride and don't want freebies, I dunno. Well, just hook him no big deal. It's just an extra 5k BP.

I only really want freebies when I'm doing a quest or ritual that's tough, like opening the exit gates. Sometimes I come across nice killers who let me finish it when I been failing for the past ten missions to open the gate.

lol she thought she was safe at the gate!

By the way, regarding the butt dance, I noticed some survivors these days use the butt dance to thank you.

After you heal them or something they do one tea bag, I've come to understand that this means they are bowing to you to thank you.

Happens to me a lot when I give them some Santa Claus gifts or when I heal them from an unhook with We'll Make It.

Yes, I also see it that way. I think there is a clear difference between tbagging (hitting the crouch button fast and multiple times) and a thank you (slow crouch and standing up again or tab the crouch button max. 2 times). Sometimes I just crouch and nod as a 'thank you' right before leaving or wait few seconds if the killer wants to hit me again for points. If he downed me and I'm crawling out, I sometimes spin one time rigt before the exit as a happy sign. But I try to never waste the killers time and just leave fast.

I see the crouching/ butt dance in games often where it's meant as a hello or thank you to other survivors. I also have done it to killers when they are being nice and letting me live. That or a head nod. I love the fast head nod that killers give when they're deciding to let you go.

This is why I think it's lore appropriate to let the last one go as Ghostface.

If nobody survives, who will tell everyone how much of an amazing and incredibly dangerous Killer he is?
