The Alchemist...
He can travel to the entity's plane itself.
He needs the "Flower" to get stronger.
What if he is the new killer? What if the cinematic we saw was him becoming one.
He could be a swedish alchemist who tried to do alchemy with plants to try and escape the entities world.
And instead he kept failing, and he lost all hope (reference last entry for: The Alchemist)
And like everyone who lost hope, they became a killer.
Thoughts?

I guess it's up to the devs to whether push this concept further.
Still I don't get why many people seem to confuse him with Vigo. To me they're both researchers but definitely not the same person

Vigo is sane, while The Alchemist turned insane.
Both are researchers with the same goal.
Unknown if both reached it.
So it could be easily confused

Sure. Till now Vigo is like the most possible one survivor that escaped. Cutting off that hope sounds like a dumb move.

Well it's still unknown if Vigo made it out or not. If he did, he obviously didn't want to stay to share the tale lol.

It talks about The Alchemist being put in trials too, and not wanting to hurt survivors. Here's hoping.

Pretty sure Vigo is The Alcheimist and not Benedict.

then Vigo should be aa survivor with a new map that shows more of the entity itself (with the flowers from the hallowed blight in 2018 as decoration on the hooks and on the map itself but they are not living anymore like now) that would be an original map that i could love

still crossing my fingers that the reference to sweden is pennywise..but this would also be cool

I'm hoping for originality. Which they seem like they are trying to aim for in this update.
(Cinematics are at least trying to explain the story)
Plus
It also states in the last entry that The Alchemist would kill anyone tear them to pieces, if he were to get another flower.
He Met every killer and every survivor. But eventually his obsession to the flower drove him mad, and well... broke him.
Ah you right.
Thanks for the information! But still, my point stands. Vigo could've escaped. But "The Alchemist" Side (Entity created perhaps?) stayed. Plus Vigo was obviously sane enough to figure a way out. But based on his "Hunger" backstory... his Alchemist side... not so much.
So it depends. It is an alternate dimension. Perhaps where Pennywise came from?
-shrugs- All is speculation of course.

Yes, you are right when it's possible "The Alchiemist" version of Vigo still exists as a Killer, meanwhile a version of "Vigo" could have escaped. Not sure if it is true, but a legit possibility.
Nexus and times loops are extremely prevalent in this realm.

I would count the wiki to be a 100% reliable source. Vigo beeing the Alchemist is an interpretation. But not a fact.
Back in 2018, when we got the Lore entries by an unknown person telling their story experimenting with the serum. In the end they fail and were taken by the entity. That fits well to the Alchemist, who starts trapped at the void. The place, where beeings useless for the entity end up.
The person mentions in their entries, that they found a Journal written by Vigo with a lot of informations about the serum and the entity themself. So the Alchemist is clearly not Vigo. Vigo seems to have experimented with the serum as well, but seems much more advanced or knowledged about the entity's realm in general compared to the Alchemist who is obsessed with the serum and doesn't have much oversight about things besides it. Looking at the entries, the first thing they found, when they came into the realm of the entity wa Vigo's old laboratory. Which also means it isn't Benedict Baker either, because he was taken when investigating the ruins of the McMillain Estate.
So I think the Alchemist is a "new" character and not an established name.

Sure. I got soooo tired of the people editting the Wikis thinking they're doing something important yet failing to notice even the simplest facts or treating their own speculations as canon. Hard to tell how much lengths they will go to to maintain the "Benedict was the Hallowed Blight researcher, Vigo is the Alchemist" stuff. And the population they are misleading... urgh.

the Alchemist is neither Vigo nor Benedict... I guess it's just a bit too hard to accept this?

None of us actually know for sure.
