Why am I In Red Ranks?
As of a few months ago, my rate of escaping has gone down to like 1/10 of my matches. That being said... Why am I getting put in red rank hell? Half the times I die are from my first hook anyway. How am I even gaining emblems??

Depipping is hard welcome to the red rank life. Even in red rank there's tiers of levels that the rank system can't really pinpoint.

Because bhvr had the brilliant idea to make the pipping system just a participation trophy so people stay motivated after losing.

Exactly, on red ranks you get everything. Potatoes you can't even look behind them while getting chased and just drop pallets left and right... And the sweaty tryhards who are super optimal with resources. I feel like on rank 1 there needs to be a ranking inside of it with 10 more ranks if you get what I mean.

Because it's very easy to rank up as survivor. any action you do basically goes up in categories regardless of success (ignoring survival which will cap at silver). killers lose gatekeeper the longer the game goes on, but if they perform too well they don't get enough hook actions lowering that category, and chasing / malevolence are lower if you're a one shotter because why count health states for that. I'm somehow rank 4 due to the number of matches I've been doing for the rift challenges.

Would be interesting for each color class to have a rank system within itself. Might make the gameplay more rewarding.

As one of my recent forum posts - expand the ranking to show a more cleaner idea of where you are skill wise

Survivor gets rewarded for existing pretty much

Depipping is hard if you play normally and have a decent amount of skill. You actually have to be throwing games and running meme junk if you want to really depip.
That said, I tend to hover around Purple and not get stuck in Red. You're just playing at a level where Red is your natural rank.

because it's way to easy to rank up in this game I'm rank 2 survivor and I get destroyed all the time because I don't belong

I literally pip every game no matter what happens. I don't know why it's like this, unless its just so high rank killer matches aren't as rough but even then its kind of silly

I've come back to this game after a long break for the Rift and I've been chilling in Red Ranks ever since somehow. Almost every game is at least guarantied a safety pip (as long as there's no ebony mori tunneling, etc). Maybe I'm just that good at the game /s

Meanwhile killer Depips if he stops too long to crack his neck.
