Game: Prey

I was just strolling around with my suppressed pistol out and knew I should have activated zoom, and a mimic appears from something and I actually jumped

    The list is long.

My first "horror game" was L4D2 when I was 13 years old. I was starting the Dead Center map and was too afraid to open the first door because a zombie was banging at it. Took me 5 minutes of prep talk to go through and hit him with my fireaxe.

Next is The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Bleak Falls Barrows. The first time you enter a draugr dungeon in that game. I knew something was gonna happen in that one long corridor, but I litterally screamed when that daugr stood up and had to pause my game for a while. I still get heart attacks when I have to play draugr crypts :'D

I could go on and on, I really get scared easily and often, which is funny since I love horror games and movies and feel like I should be hardened by now, buuuut I gotta share the best moment with you: A freaking mummy. In Sims 3: World adventures 😂 It just opened the sarcophagus and I was like "NOPE"

    Game: Dead by Daylight :P

A survivor I didn't even know was there, slamming a pallet down on me. It gets me every time.

I was playing as a survivor.

    I hear footsteps.

Turn around and see paintless Myers stalking me.

    I'll never recover.

The only game that legitimately scared me was F.E.A.R 2. Going up ladders...turning around...and the ghost girl is standing there made me jump a few times. Tense stuff.

The first time I ever went into the realm of Oblivion while playing Oblivion, I got jumpscared by a dremora. I was climbing up the main tower and just walked through a doorway, when out of nowhere he comes at me from just behind the door screaming "CHURL!" in my ear.

I flipped out, screamed, and jumped so hard my mouse fell off the desk. In my panic I didn't immediately puase the game, so I had to quickly collect my scattered wits and my mouse while the churl mercilessly beat me to death onscreen.

    Good times.

    White noise 2.

    Thanks Subject 23. Love that.

Edit: Also, the snap of my shins when I step in a bear trap.

Having to explain to my dad why I play the black chick and how it's not racist that she's near invisible to killers, as I got hooked in the middle of a public game.

I was repairing a generator when Lori came around the corner in her new outfit. Gave me goose bumps.
