Rancor Is So Unfair
I avoided the killer all game, done gens, totems, unhooked team-mates and took hits for people, I didn’t get hooked once then all off a sudden the last gen pops, the killer instantly tracks me down and Moris me hahaha, it’s so unfair

To be fair, the killer does have to wait almost the entirety of the match to use the second half of the perk.
And also, the killer was avoiding you too. no killer with Rancor wants to make any effort of killing their obsession unless it was a 2 for 1.

If I know I’m rancor I have zero shame in hiding in a locker till the gates are open. Can’t get insta downed if they can’t find you 🤷♀️

The killer has to wait until the last generator pops to even use it.
Also unless it's a stealth killer currently in stealth mode you get full aura reading each time and generator is popped to help you avoid going to the Killer.
So you should technically know by the time the first two generators pop that the killer has rancor.
Once the last generator pops use The Killers aura to determine where they are probably going to head then go stealth and wait until an exit Gate has been opened.
If you're in mid chase when the last generator pops then that's just unlucky for you

I'm not really a genius, but don't you know that killer got rancor since the first gen popped? I mean seriously, just hide. Hide good or loop good. The majority of the killer can't get an easy hit on ya.

If someone uses D-Strike they'll be the Obsession, does it suck to be Moried? Yes, it does suck to be killed at the end of the match but you have the ENTIRE MATCH to play the game and get points. If you're too scared to do anything the entire match because you're scared what will happen at the VERY END, then you lost because you chose to lose. Your experience was bad because you made it bad. You hear about the bucket list when people try to do as much as they can before they die? That's what you should be doing, playing the game like everyone else and if you can't get out you shouldn't be angry because you knew it was coming.
When I'm Rancor I play the game because that's this what this is, this thing on my TV is a game and I want to play it. I rescue my friends and if I get hooked, well that's normal. I heal my friends and do Gens, totems, I play the game like every match and avoid the Killer with the Aura reading they gave me. I was Rancor last night and I found the Hatch, someone was on a hook and I chose not to save them because the Killer was nearby, it was a bad play to make a save. The other Survivor made the save and they ran out the Exit together then I took the Hatch to freedom, that was the right play at the very end.

Life is unfair.
Asymmetrical games have some unfairness to it. It was 1 game... out of many. Move on.

I do agree that rancor has some unfairness to it but like others have said you have to wait until the very end of the game to use the second-half of the perk, the biggest change I would expect to it is removing the ability to insta-down the obsession, I can't see behavior removing the mori aspect of it due to the fact that mori's will most likely be reworked some time this coming year. (Just a prediction)

When I'm rancor I try to keep the killer distract all game. Giving them a choice take me out now or deal with my shenanigans and attempt to mori me at the end.😂

Not if the Killer has a Stealth-ability. I vsed a Ghostface yesterday (no Healing-Build) who had Rancor, I did not know until the end that he had Rancor, so I was pretty surprised when I got morid by him.
So not really sure if Undetectable should block the Aura Read of Rancor.

That's a thing now, you're right about that one. Didn't thought of "Undetectable".

If you do that the undetectable status kind of loses consistency.
If some auras work then how come others can't. Then that is something that's going to be debated on by both sides.

Prediction based on?

I mean, the point was always that the Survivor will know that the Killer has Rancor and can adapt. But with Undetectable, this is not the case.
(Also Kindred should not lose the Aura Read because of Undetectable, just as an addition)

Then you have a very inconsistently format of what undetectable does.
At which stage people will say if rancor and kindred allow you to see aura why can't x or y perk.
This is why they changed all secondary attacks. Things like a pig's ambush were procing perks whilst other things like huntress hatchets weren't.
You can't have consistency and then take consistency away whenever you so please.

How is it unfair? You get notified from the beginning and have all match to plan ahead how to avoid it.

Doesn't mean that the perk shouldn't be looked at. If that was the case this gane would be incredibly unbalanced and No one would play.

d-strike increases your chance of being the obsession, if you face rancor every game then don't run it, btw you can easily bluff d-strike, jump into a locker after getting unhooked and the killer will be terrified or just run straight at them after getting unhooked, they'll most likely slug you even if u don't have it

uhhhh hide?

I have a suggestion though admittedly it is a bit “scummy” if you’re being chased with one gen left, lead the killer to your mates. Or hide.

Because behavior has reworked both insta heals and the nurse, 2 of the most broken things in the game, that have been around for a LONG time. If not this coming year, I can guarantee within this games life span they will be reworked due to the incredible amount of backlash surrounding them.

Just like with NOED, if you get hit with Rancor you've already played the match almost all the way to the end. You've have plenty of time to play the game and actually do something, I'd much rather get hit with NOED or Rancor than get mori-tunneled after my first down or something like that.
Yeah, the escape is tasty and all but you haven't earned it until you actually get it, just like a killer hasn't earned a kill until the survivor in question is dead in one way or another.
