Mostly curious as to where everyone seems to be on the rift grind.
I just reached lv 23.
So finally had enough putrid serum for a full blight skin.
As far as the tome.
I cant for the life of me complete "Plunder King" and havent yet attempted "This is Happening" or "Empathic". I only started playing survivor for the tome challenges and play on ps4. Every single time someone opens the last chest i need.

Well I'm only lvl 18 but I have all the tome done... I just play casually tho...I'm gonna have to pick up the pace if I want to finish I guess.

I play as much as I can during the weekend. I think I'm at like 18 atm with 3 challenges to finish still. I really don't think that's too shabby considering that's about 1/4 of the rift done, almost 1/4 of rift challenges done and still have 6/7 of the time to finish. Means I'm ahead of schedule to finish the rift with that logic. I was watching a streamer this morning though who's on like rift lvl 45... Shits crazy, lol.

I'm currently at Rift tier 23, with all level 1 Tome challenges done. My advice for the ones OP is still working on:
Plunder King: Bring some purple coins. I did this on my first try that way.
This Is Happening: Not too tough, if you can hit great skill checks. I brought No Mither to keep myself injured from the beginning, but I'm not even sure if being injured during the checks is a requirement.
Empathic: Pairing Empathy with We'll Make It gives you a really strong shot at this one.

Being injured isn't a requirement for the challenge. I finished that one within a minute of a trial starting from just hitting ruin skill checks. You just have to have the perk equiped.

Ive pretty much have assumed that the purple coin would make this easier for me to achieve. Ive had no luck with my bloodweb though and have yet to see one on the survivor ive dumped BPs into all the way to lv 37.
I dont think empathic will be as difficult to achieve so im not worried about that one.
This is Happening is probably another one i might struggle a bit with. As a fairly new survivor i have struggled to hit great skillchecks and it often seems that when i do its by mere luck.

If I had the money, I'd fly to California just to eat at CoCo Ichibanya Curry House weekly.
Had it every other day for 2 years in Okinawa while I was stationed there and never got tired of it.
I even tried to recreate it when I came back to the states and found a reasonable substitute that my friends and family love to have me make.
I'm drooling right now and might make curry when I get home even though it's late lol
If you ever have the chance do yourself a favor and give it a try lol

Did all the tier 1 challenges, slacked off since then because other games had patches with actual content to play.
Since it's week 2, (excluding the accidental extra weeks that had no challenges to boost them up) I'm aiming to keep up the 7 levels a week, meaning atm I've got a 4 level buffer for if life happens.

I'm on 23 as I just completed 23 and starting 24.
I am curious to see how far I can get without the Tomes but to be honest most of the cosmetics in the Rift might not ever be used.
The Trapper skin is bleh, I don't play Wraith and it's bleh, I don't play Hag and I don't play Nurse. Meg's outfit is bleh and I don't play Jake or Dwight.
The only cosmetics I'll be using are for Nea, David, and Claudette, ever since the new graphics update she has looked really good and I want to play Claudette for once.

Just in case anybody's interested in the maths...
- 70 tiers in the Rift
- 10 Fragments needed per tier (or 700 total Fragments)
- 800 xp needed per Fragment (or the equivalent of 560,000 xp)
If you had to do that entirely through grinding, assuming you got the max 600 xp per match, it would take roughly 900 matches. Clearing Tome 1 knocks 93 Fragments off the total. Tome 4 should knock off 85 when completed. Don't have info on Tome 2 or 3 yet, so I'm just going to low-ball those as 85 as well. So that's 348 Fragments you don't have to worry about if you clear all challenges, leaving 352 Fragments up to xp grinding. So 281,600 total xp. So you just need something like 470 matches in the 70-day Rift period. Minus one half for each of the two daily bonus matches you get.

Level 26, just found out it's much more easier to farm XP as a Survivor than a killer so I'm snowballing at least 1 or 2 tiers a day. All challenges are also done.

I feel like killer is easier. Survivor mission have too many unpredictable teammates

Apologies. I was asking Dekillerkiller about farming xp for fragments. Lol not sure why you replied about the tome missions to that.
That being said. I do think killer ones are easier but thats only because I've played killer since this game has been out.
Survivor I started playing only when the archives were added. So im having to learn that and do these missions as a solo player with no friends.

I find myself getting into matches quicker and ending matches even faster as a survivor.
With Killer I feel like matches can go for far too long and I can't just jump into another match right away.
With Survivor I can get a new Rift Tier in 12-15 games.
With Killer I can theoretically get a new Rift Tier in the same amount of games, but it's much longer.

Your earned xp is tied directly to time spent in a match, but it caps at 600. So you want minimum down time between matches, and you don't want to be stuck in a match that drags on too long. Survivors tend to get matches faster than killers, and their match duration is always going to be equal to or shorter than the killers.

Ah i can understand.
I play on console so its actually much faster to que up as killer. While the matches may sometimes last longer sometimes. it beats waiting for a lobby upwards of 5 mins.
If i wasnt still unlocking teachables for my killers i might play survivor more for the rift xp gain but I get much better BP gains as killer on top of the full cap for a match more times than not. And finding a lobby on console often takes like15 seconds at most.

I'm at 38 right now. Did all challenges and played like 8-10 hours a day. Had 5/6 levels before the rift started too so that helped.
Taking a break to play Death Stranding 🤷♀️

14, trying to get 15 before i sleep. Still have 3 rift fragments and i'm sure i've spent at least 2 hours getting it to 7... Didn't get any levels before the rift actually came out. Did the challenges and now i'm just doing 1 tier a day until the next tome comes out. It's pretty rough just grinding all these without challenges or anything.
