What’s up with people lately?
I just wanted to casually play dbd today and I played for 10 matches.
8 out of 10 of the matches a mori was used.
9 out of 10 matches I was tunneled.
5 out of the 8 matches with moris were ebony.
No perks were used to mori.
I survived 1 out of 10 of the rank 10 matches.
Not sure if this is normal or if killers are going all out now but it’s not fun.
I want to protect moris and say it’s cool a killer can be a killer.
Now though it seems every killer has one when it’s designed to be rare use.
I can’t support something that ruins the game for survivors and encourages tunneling.
Especially if you looped the killer for 3 minutes and your teammates did squat, then your downed and moried. It seems cheap that someone used an offering to ensure your death or that you couldn’t escape.
Ive never used a key before but it sounds like it robs the killer of kills they should’ve earned, a mori does the same thing it robs the survivor of their fair chance to escape.
Im not sure what needs to be done about moris but they can’t stay like this if they are used on a average basis instead of a rare one.
I’d say it would be fine for it to be super rare or changed up some way like hook everyone first or something.

mori is a silly griefing tool with little counterplay in current dbd. its unhealthy and rewards alot of bad killers with easy kills. it needs to go

I don't encounter this many moris, I rarely encounter them actually, but I die a lot. Moris are unfun though. I dislike them immensely both as a Killer and Survivor.
I'm probably just bad though.

My survivor games yesterday sounded a lot like this. I was getting tilted I switched to killer and memed. I felt better.

Btw, killers only get a blackpip at best when they mori everyone and when the match is over too fast they even depip.

This is probably the real reason. Isn't the next level of the tome or whatever it's called coming soon too? Then it makes even more sense people would want to get their challenges done ASAP.
If people are actually doing this they need to do themselves a favor and uninstall and never look back.

Killers are fighting fire with fire. DC hatch escapes and gen rush are the norm. Winning a match as killer feels inconsistent as if by dumb luck, because one match you get a 4k and the next 3 people escape. I can maybe believe that a few of the matches you have will be lost due to bad teammates. But c'mon, you can't just blame your teammates every time because we all know that killers who go through 5-gen chases lose 95% of the time. You probably just had a bad day, but be grateful. Killers have those kinds of days every day.

I know I didn’t lose to bad team mates ( though 1 match they sat in the corner) more likely to bad luck that since I looped a killer for more than 1 minute it’s considered “toxic” and then the killer immediately moris me with their 1 person/ ebony mori.

But it is okay for survivors to boycott Spirit matches? Oh, you'd better believe it goes both ways. I bet you're a survivor main who enjoys the benefit of escaping alongside 3 of your teammates more times than you can count, and can't bear the thought of that changing. As much as I contemplate quitting the game, I don't think I will. I'll miss the announcement of moris being removed, and that's a day I can't miss, because I intend to use the ones I've collected for all their worth when that time comes. It will be similar to how insta-heals were in every match leading up to their nerf, so if you want moris removed you'd better be prepared to deal with the month-long mori fest that will undoubtedly ensue. THEN YOU can uninstall.

The counterplay to many moris is just dont get hooked

How about your l2loop and not get caught.
Let others get caught, farm them, then it won't matter if you survive or not, you'll pip eitherway.

I generally see good killers rarely ever having those kinds of days.
As for the Mori thing, yeah, it's not as rare as it seems. A lot of people will tell you they are, but they're lying. People have 60+ moris in their inventories, or more, and those are ebonies.

I've been recently getting into Obsession perks, which are really good like STBFL, as opposed to Hex perks that get almost zero use before they're broken. But I meant what I said: I feel like my matches are hit or miss, almost like I don't deserve to be at rank 5. But I say that because I saw another guy's post which said just that. When the devs close the gap between SWF and solo, maybe then it'll stop feeling like that. As for moris, I've never had more than like 7 at a time on any given killer, so you might want to check if that "60" was overall or just for 1 of their killers. I think the green and yellow moris are perfect, but the pink ones are so obviously unfair. I only really enjoy using them when I know I'm beating a toxic SWF group with them, and because the devs never made a SWF indicator, I never know for sure if they are.

It was on one killer, but that doesn't matter. 60 ebonies is 60 ebonies. As for "beating a toxic SWF group with them", I boycott the use of all moris, unless they're in a perk. I'll use Rancor, or Devour Hope, or Judith's Tombstone(I only use that for things like "kill all survivors in one match" though, except for the one time I wanted to try a build around it), but I will not use a mori, especially not an ebony, even for a mori ritual. If I can't beat the enemy with my own skill, then I just need to get better.
I also don't slug for the 4k, I leave it up to chance.
And yes, obsession perks are fun. I especially like to combine Furtive Chase with Remember Me. Easy Remember Me stacks without having to tunnel down your obsession. I used that combo a lot when I started leveling Freddy.

this is quite ironic as i had an extremely opposite experience the other day, (at rank 12) of all 10 matches i did (11 actually but in 1 of them the killer dc'd immidiately so i didnt count it), 1 person used an ivory mori, one used an ebony but only got 1 mori kill although he got 2 more hook kills which was strange, and although i got tunneled a lot i would say it was only every 2nd hook or so, and it was only in about half of the matches, also i survived 7 of the 10 matches, i died on hook 3 times and was never morid, althogh i watched some get morid as i accidentally ran into them as they were getting morid (legion btw, and this was the ebony). Of all the matched i did i would say 6 of them were moderately pleasant, in 1 i got tunnelled like scooby to one of his snacks (although i did run him for 3 gens), in 2 i was camped, but in 1 i survived (not by borrowed time but by a dumb killer and a very lucky opportunistic teammate), in the other it was the killer running in what i would you could call circles arround my hook making sure no-one could get me (congrats killer it worked but they did 3 gens and they all escaped but me), and in the last unpleasent game i was injured for most of it constantly running away from the killer although never directly in front of him, i had no cluse where my teammates were, i forgot to bring bond and they only did 2 gen in about 15 mins of me running away from a leatherface that probably had no idea what scratch marks were, the only reason he got me was because i ran into him and he m1'd me and put in the neerby basement (oops) and of course even though he DID NOT camp me i thought my teammates maybe were altruistic but never healed me because the killer was always neer me, but no, they never got me, they just walked arround and sometimes did gens, only to crounch walk away from it as they hear the killer pass them, and he wasnt even checking the gens, he just aimlessly tried to find survivors but never found the other 3 claudetes, yes thats why they were never found... the other 6 games that i won were good ordinary gmaes.

Fast survivor ques? Burn Haddonfield cuz killer will play it anyway.

No, it's not okay for people to act like babies about stuff they don't like in the game no matter what they're doing. People using up instaheals or moris if changes are announced makes perfect sense, people playing spirit and using a lot of strong addons because she'll get changed makes perfect sense, what I commented on doesn't and is crybaby behavior just like people disconnecting because they don't like the killer, map, going down first or anything else. This is a multiplayer game recieving regular updates, the stuff you love AND the stuff you hate can get changed at any time, hell I've always loved playing Pig so do you think I'm happy about how she's been treated? But it happens, because that's how it is.
And try cutting out the "<role> main!!" tribalistic caveman bullshit please. It's gonna make a lot of people completely ignore your posts or discount them as low-effort trolling.

I like the idea of the mori replacing the death hook. Meaning the mori only works after two hooks so you're not removed from the match so early.

That kind of makes it pointless tbh. I think that the problem is that they are not very rare. Just make them much less common in the blood webs and then you shouldn't see so many of them.

I wish there was some way of making them only usable on those that deserve them. The obsession, keyholders, SWFs or Neas.
I've genuinely felt bad when I've taken an Ebony into a game only to find they are all solos. I still killed them. But I felt bad about it.

I've been having awful games today. Constantly running into Survivors with keys or I just can't get anything going. I hate being purple rank because it means I have to play against red ranks.

I usually have a Mori equipped just so people won't get so cocky, I only use it for rude peeps that tbag at all pallet loops or flashlight click me. Lets me get rid of them so they won't irritate me and thus make me lose my flow and concentration

Maybe devs could add a survivor perk that automaticly repair a random generator when survivor is in chase and starts after 15 sec (like bloodlust) and finished repairing a generator after 2 min ?
