Genuine Questions..

to my fellow survivors...

why do you teabag killers at pallets/exit gates? why do you creep at the exit gate insisting on being hit before you leave? (you've already done all the gens & opened the gate, why not just.. leave?) why do you DC when you think you are not going to survive the match?

Also, have you ever played as Killer? Do you understand how Killer mechanics/gameplay works?

to my fellow killers...

why do you tunnel (ignore other survivors to chase & kill 1 survivor)? why do you camp a hooked survivor rather than go hunt others/kick gens? why do you hit/attack survivors on the hook? why do you DC when you think you no longer have a chance to 'win" the match?

Finally, have you ever played as Survivor? Do you understand how Survivor mechanics/gameplay works?

Not trying to start a debate on which side is more toxic, just trying to understand. Thx.

Good points, no one has ever talked about any of this stuff before in any thread on this forum. :P

Some players just want to bully others so they can feel superior, without repercussions. I think it's as simple as that, sadly.

Why do I tunnel? I'm not going to hook someone for the first time with 2 gens left when 2 other survivors are on death hook. That's just bad killer play. I guess that could be considered tunneling.

Why do I camp? Depends on gen proximity and whether I know I can get a free hook state and force a 3 or 4 gen. You can usually tell which way the wind is blowing, so to speak. If gens are flying in a line on one side of the map, chances are I can get 2 hooks in 1 plus a 3 or 4 gen, and maybe even another hook on the rescuer when they come late after realizing nobody else was going for the save. The alternative is walking across the map, giving a free unhook, and losing the gens anyway while also screwing myself over for later. I don't camp for camping's sake, but there's a time and place.

Why do I hit survivors on the hook? I was tabbed out and forgot to move away beforehand.

I often play as survivor. Usually purple to low red.

I enjoy killer more so will answer from killer side.

I don’t camp unless I 100% know someone is near, and even then it’s more proxy camping as I look for the other.

I don’t tunnel since tunneling and failing to kill the annoying one makes me feel worse than not tunneling in the first place.

hitting survivors on hook is pointless so I don’t do it.

I never dc unless I have to leave urgently for some reason (has happened very occasionally)

I’ve gotten every achievement in the game so I’d hope I understand the survivor’s side...

As a survivor, I don't t bag other than a quick double tap as a way of saying thank you if they let me live. If the killer is close I will stop at the edge of the gate to let the killer get another hit in for more points.

As a killer I try not to tunnel, but sometimes you just end up finding that same survivor without trying so down they go. Anytime I have the choice, I will always go for the rescuer rather than the person that was just unhooked. Only time I camp is when all gens are done, i am always amazed when I get an extra kill or two because survivors refuse to leave someone behind.

If I am at the exit and the Killer is nearby I'll usually let them hit me before I leave. Even if it downs me. I do not teabag and I do not sit around if they are not nearby. I do this to give them a few more BP, I've already escaped and I don't mind giving them another hit.

Sometimes, if we really stomp, I'll even offer myself up to the Killer instead of escaping. I care about BP but I know how it feels to get completely stomped by Survivors when you are trying to learn a new Killer, or still getting your barrings.

Chase and kill 1 survivor, well, quick easy kill

Camp, stupidity, punish it and it'll eventually stop (free gens)

Hitting the hooked is just the equivalent of teabag, except in hope of a DC if trying to just win and nothing else

As you'll see, I've done both sides

Teabag, it's called provoking, doesn't work on everyone but on most

Getting hit I think is more of a act of kindness, killer gets BP for it

DC is for the weak and trash and should be pointed at and laughed at, unless from hook camps, that's fair enough but could be more punishing and get BP by struggling as long as possible, watch the killer lose while you die, be hailed the hero of sir campsalot

I don't DC cause it's for chumps, but teabagging and waiting at the gates just makes me feel better than my opponent.

If I know the team is gonna dive bomb the hook I'll stick around and if find myself spending too much time on a survivor to the point of the game being lost, it's already at the point of no return so I might as well take someone down with me.
