Trapper archive challenge

For the 'trap 4 survivors' challenge do I just need them to step into a trap or do I also have grab the survivors while trapped?
During my first attempt for the easier version I grabbed them to be safe and now I still don't know if that's needed.

You just have to trap them. They can across the map and escape before you even get there for all the challenge cares.
