Exclusives coming out is good but something should be given to people who got it from the codes

I have never made a account for the forms until now since I always trusted dbds opinion on most of the decisions they make. I have been playing this game since launch and got the science fair claud and street meg cosmetic code. I do understand why you are releasing the cosmetics for everyone to use, but for the people who got the reward from getting the code get some kind of reward? I think this would be appropriate since me and other people who have gotten codes have been supporting the game from the start. I really feel like added them in is a good thing for lots of people who want them but yet for people who supported the game early it was a way of saying "Hey! I have been supporting this game look at me!". I do not think the reward should be special but I feel like it should be something to give a knod to people who got it before you gave everyone it. I have over 1.7k hours and im proud that I got to play this game before it became popular but I feel like releasing the cosmetics for everyone without giving something to poeple who got it from the codes would be very disrepectful and would hurt a lot of people including me on the inside.

Padded Jacket and Chuckles owner here:

While conceptually I’m not opposed to it, doing something like that causes problems seeing as they want to stop the scalping of codes. Getting anything extra for having a code makes the codes still valuable, so the problem still exists.

I do get your point but still, its very unfair for people who actually got the code. If they did do it fast enough then the selling of codes would not increase. Also, they could always check when people added the code in to see who got them legitimately and not.

I have the same opinion, maybe they could change the color slightly or something like this, change the rarity or give the owners of the codes a special charm etc. (7k hours, almost all codes and I really dislike the devs decision, feels weird since thw twitch shirt, the fog whisperer charm and the crew shirt will stay ecxlusive, supporters like us will be neglected)

Pretty much the only exclusives I don't have would have required me to leave my country of origin. More than half of that list represents some investment from me, and I fully support their free release. Might be nice to get some BP, auric cells, or maybe a free rift access, but honestly I'm not complaining.

Again, I got two things through codes from being online at the right time and the right place (steam forums). I’ve got no issues with them being universally available. They’re both nice cosmetics, it’ll be nice to see them getting more use.

My point exactly, I do not have as much codes as you do but it seems very double standard for them to have exclusive for the soul purpose that they work there or make content. Even though we also supported the game and get nothing.

Thats kind of what I mean. I think people who got it early should get a good amount of bp, auric cells, or something else along those lines.

I'm on console so I only have a few of the event items, so getting all those cosmetics is pretty awesome to me. However, I completely support the idea that people who previously had those items should receive a good amount of bloodpoints and/or auric cells (but anyone after this who enters the code wouldn't get anything, so the codes will carry no value to get rid of the mentioned scamming issue).

People got those codes and exclusives to stand out, so giving them auric cells to buy either a rift pass or new cosmetics will still kind of help them achieve that.

They're fake items in a video game. They don't mean anything.

Also: The devs making something exclusive to award to exclusive item owners as recompense for eliminating item exclusivity... doesn't make any sense.

This. That's just a way to switch the exclusivity to other items.

In any case I, as many others, own some of the exclusive cosmetics thanks to giveaways, which at the time where very common. Nothing to do with supporting the game.

You are taking my comment out of context. If you read it you would see I meant that by I have been suporting the game from the start
