So no more exclusives means we all get legacy, right?

I mean it only makes sense.

What about the skins they are releasing from the Chinese New Year and summer BBQ events. You didn’t need to get lucky for those you had to grind for them too.

If everyone received legacy it would become worthless to everyone. After a few months it would be as "cool" as default cosmetics

The grind's got little to do with it. You should never, ever enter a game, earn a reward, and expect it to never return. (If you do expect that, you're at fault.)

The reason Legacy won't return is because BHVR specifically mentioned that it wouldn't.

I mean, it says that they're granting everyone certain cosmetics, not all of them.

The grind for Legacy was a true testiment to a player who was devoted to the game as it could take 15 matches just to complete one bloodweb at lvl 50. No BP perks or DPB events, no entity eater, higher priced items and a much large bloodweb overall.

The grind for past event cosmetics took around 10-20 hours max.

The show skins were free for anyone who attended.

But not loyal to the one’s who grinded out the event cosmetics, which was the only thing they ever had a chance to grind out right? I’m speaking on behalf of Console players if you don’t understand.

Legacy was awarded to players who devoted a ton of time and effort to the game. If BHVR were to re-introduce Legacy skins, they would need to test the player on whether or not they would be worthy of a legacy skin. 😁🤗

It was hard, yeah. Nevertheless, playing a game should be something you do because you want to do it. You should be glad you got rewarded for it with those legacy skins in the first place.

You were never entitled to those Legacy skins until BHVR decided to make it so, which would only make sense that they could also have decided to not have it be exclusive or not, it's their creation, and they got to decide what happened with it.

Yes, they did keep it exclusive as a "loyalty" thing, and because they said it would be. Not because of the grinding. They could've simply decided to keep it exclusive because you bought the game that quickly after it came out? Maybe they kept it exclusive because the quality of the game wasn't back then what it has become now?

The "grind" was only the means to obtain it, BHVR deciding to keep it exclusive (and having promised that), is what is keeping it exclusive. Not because you specifically grinded for it. (Because, as I stated, they could've decided on its exclusivity for other reasons other than the grind, and they were never obligated to make it exclusive in the first place, it was just the kind thing to do.)

I feel like you should prestige III level 50 the old bloodweb because at least then you would have to experience the pain those players had to go through. ?

Do people understand that legacy skins were never something you could grind for? It's not like those were the old prestige and some people just missed out cause they came late to the party or played on the wrong system.

Legacy skins were awarded after the fact, to people who had put in the work to prestige on the old bloodwebs, as a way of both rewarding them for their hard work and compensating them for all the many millions of bloodpoints they spent on something which would now suddenly cost only a fraction of that price.

It was a surprise to everyone. No other exclusive, to my knowledge, has had that feature of being a complete surprise awarded on the devs' own whim to players who showed loyalty to the game. That is why they will remain exclusive.

To further add on to that, you only get one opportunity a year to earn them.

It's an event that lasts 2 weeks before the old Legacy cutoff date. On the cutoff date, if deemed worthy, you will have to sacrifice all your progress on all characters as a late fee. You must have at least 1,000 hours worth of progress to complete the requirements. If you're deemed worthy, you will always be deemed worthy, so you don't have to keep grinding and waiting because you don't have 1,000 hours. ??

Yet now people who didn't participate in the past events are getting our earned cosmetics from those events. Why should they get them for free?

I wouldn't be surprised if they would give legacy for free XD

TBH, wouldn't mind them re-releasing legacy. Maybe I'm biased just because I don't have it, but my thought process here is that they already stated they're against exclusives apparently, and even if the grind was long before, I don't think anybody can deny that the grind they have right now is very long as well, and it's only going to get longer with each new content release.

I know it's a special kinda thing or whatever, but if the whole mindset is "they spent time grinding this bloodweb for a long time," I don't see the difference between doing it back then and doing it afterwards as well, if people are going to be putting in just as much work into filling out their setups. Again though, maybe I just don't get it as a player who didn't play back then. So maybe my comparisons between the grind before and the grind now are wrong. I just don't see how it could be that much worse when they only had so many characters to level up back then, whereas now we have, what... double? As I said as well, the number is just going to keep getting bigger.
