It is technically in the game but it is not reliable, skins cover it, lighting affects it, and in a chase you can't just stop and stare at her.

I never noticed the glass shards glowing when she phases in all my time playing against her so I'm pretty sure that's bs. I'd say it's the same myth as her being able to move grass while phasing.
This comment took forever to get approved so I'll just edit. I saw the thread of her shards glowing and its barely noticeable and it still takes like a few seconds for it to start glowing so by the time you notice, it's too late.

She need to remain still, and if the person leaves you need to start phasing again.

These changes are amazing, she's perfect and needs no nerfs. Both surv mains and killer mains like these changes, so it's all good

Makes it harder not impossible. It's one of those things where once you know what your looking for it starts to become more obvious to you as time to goes on.
Props to you for actually being able to admit it instead of just literally screaming like most people "no counterplay"
I'm probably weird in the fact I like her because mechanically and visually she appeals to me. I like the creepy aspect to her since she is supposed to be a vengeful ghost. Her being one of the best killers was just lucky for me since I prefer fun over needing to 4k every game.

Good luck man. It seriously is helpful, but it still comes down to you being able to listen to footstep after that to truely evade her, but 1.5 seconds of this information between knowing shes phasing and hearing her as she begins to move is all you need to lose her. It will be helpful with the no Collision now tho.
Tbh with all the Soft nerfs to Pig I half expected her to lose P3 cosmetics in the exclusive section rofl.

Whether it was the point of her power or not for survivors to have no clue if she's phasing or not, or where she is, does not mean it should stay or was a good idea in the first place. Survivors need counterplay that is not reliant on skins and area lighting, not to mention LOS blockers and how small the shards themselves are. While the Spirit should have some advantage while phasing, as it is 1v4, right now she has too many.
Her base power needed changes for the sake of actual, non-guessing, non-perk reliant counterplay, which it still didn't get. Until that happens Spirit will still be Spirit.

There already is a notification as to when she begins to phase. They are very slight and you need good eyesight and concentration, but when she activates her power you'll see her hair stand up and the shards sticking from her arms (her weapon) will begin to glow (excluding the new Hollowed Catalyst cosmetic).

Wow lookie here another player who doesn't want to actually learn the game and how to deal with the killers. She has a phasing animation survivors can see. She had her add-ons with issues nerfed or reworked, she has proper animations, and collision was fixed. Seriously there is literally not much else they can do without making her such a worse killer it's not even funny. Wait for the ptb of it's not enough after you ACTUALLY give her a chance, then say something

Has no tell you say, staying still is a pretty valid tell, the sound she admits is a valid tell, but whatever, she has no tell lol, baby survivors

Louis Mclean discusses the main issues the community had with the nurse and the specific goals they intended to reach with the changes (whether you believe they were met or not is up to you).
This makes it hard for me to believe that he just glossed over giving the spirit a tell for when she activates her power since that is EASILY the most requested change for spirit. They more than likely considered it but were not satisfied with the results it brought during testing, or it severely hurt her more than any of the other nerfs she was given. To compensate, they made other adjustments to her power that people complained about and addressed the most problematic add-ons.
I think the changes so far are going to balance her out while still making her a strong killer with an even higher skillcap now. I would encourage the community to at least see how the changes fare on the PTB first (if not a few months after so that players can properly adapt) before requesting more changes.

A tell or notification for phasing like the survs imagine it would kill the spirit, rendering any mindgame useless.

Removing her collision will already make her harder to play while also giving the survivors more counterplay. It may already be enough. A tell for when she starts phasing on top of that would more than likely be too much.

Spirit has the woosh noise that is no longer silent with prayer beads. She always has an audio cue for when she phases. Don't know what OP is on but it's hard to miss.

Exactly. Many good players already mentioned that. It is good they changed the vault animation but the main issue is still her power when used in terror raduis. You just can't tell what's shes doing and you have to guess while all she has to do is wait and look what you do and just punish you. Not to mention with the last new map that is horrible btw in general and all the unsafe pallets on it for her it will be like a childgame to get you on any pallet you try to stay on. And it is so clear here how many people don't even know how she works and what is the problem but yet try to argue it is kinda funny and sad at the same time. Just look at this tylerlogsdon1 guy above ... completely clueless
Collision is only a thing for bad players with her or for when you use prayer beads and you want to yoink. That is the only time I rely on collision when I play her - for insta grabs. Otherwise it is sound
What they have to do is somehow manage the sound on survivors and how good she can hear them. Esp the new survivors are so noisy its ridiculous. Maybe the sound should be the same when in certain range /very close/ so that she cant tell if you are here or there. Same way we cant tell which way the huntress is coming from now. Or maybe make the sound limited - every few second u hear something. Or maybe make vaults sounds silent for her ... There are many possible things to try. Or just tell us when she uses her power. Even though her power is really stupid in the way that u can cancel it and yet you don't deplete it even though u used a bit. So you can recharge it really fast again
