If I Change a Challenge Half Way Through

What would happen? Would I keep my progress when I switch, or is the progress on that challenge lost? I’m almost half way through getting 15 safe unhooks, but I’d like to go and do a killer challenge since survivor lobbies have been atrocious.
So would I lose progress on a challenge if I switch to another one?

No you won't, the challenge should just remain paused until it is unpaused
