Any counters for ghostface?

I’m a rank 6 survivor and now that rank reset has come I’m playing a lot of gf. I just can’t beat him. I honestly think he is a A tier killer. He’s basically Myers 2.0. How do you counter him!!! Whenever I legit stand in front of him and look at him he always gets the exposed off before I can actually turn off his power. Please help! I also think that when a survivor is looking at you as gf, it should not give a indication on where the survivor is. Cause no matter what your going to find them.

Break line of sight as soon as you can while staring at him if your having trouble getting him out of stalk, literally all you can do if he finds you and is staring at your ass. Just something you get better at.

And as a note, if you think Ghost Face has a good amount of stalk on you, know that he'll avoid hitting you until he can return to night shroud and get it full (getting hit resets it).

Try aiming your camera slightly upwards of what you think is the center of your camera, his reveal is a little wonky and skewed upwards because of the third-person view. Also, make distance if you think he's stalking since he's slower then, unless he's leaning with certain add-ons. If he does get the exposed off while you're just standing there, of course he's gonna down you immediately.

There are multiple perk counters but since people hate hearing that for some reason I'll keep it to base kit. Just keep your eyes open and then pallet loop, that's it. It's literally the exact same counter as almost every other killer except keeping your eyes peeled a little more because of no terror radius.

    Spine Chills + Lithe

    Spine Chills

be very ware of your surrounding, when you see that cat light up you must be able to guess with relative precision from which direction gf is coming. Once SC activates don't wait, just start to walk away for a few meters. If SC seems blinking maybe he's chasing someone else, so you can decide if to risk and continue doing your generator or go somewhere else. If the perk is still active after you have walked a bit, don't wait - run!

Run in a straight line, don't care too much of LoS - in fact it may even be better for you to maintain visibility - if you can see him chasing you can break him out (but don't stop, and do it only if you don't have to use windows/pallets in the vicinity), if you don't see him well, he's not stalking you anyway.

Stop running only if SC has stopped for a few seconds, but continue to walk in the same direction for a bit, before resuming your duties.

    Lithe

If SC was not enough and gf is gaining distance, find a window that is not too much out of the way - if there's none try to find a pallet that you can use to loop around the direction you want to go. In extreme cases you can even use the same pallet as the lithe trigger, but be wary of killers mind game - once you vault you have to commit.

    End Goal

You just have to waste so much of his time that he simply decides to not care for you and go for someone else. He can't catch up with you if you start running away immediately, and if he catches up only to have you sprinting away when he was so ready to taste you... either he'll tunnel you for the whole game, or he'll just leave you alone.

...this being said, if gf is smart and actually leaves you alone, you'll still lose because everyone else will die and no gens will be done :P.

Always look at every direction for a second or more. For example, stare at the right side for like 3 seconds then move to the left. This allows your player model to automatically pick up on ghost face present without you even realising it(which I find funnt at times). If it gets too hard, use spine chill.

Another thing you will experience or have already experience is good ghost face. Why I say good ghost faces players is because you have to time each time you leave an object to stalk someone and quickly hide behind it so that you don't get reveal. Pretty much putting you in a situation where you can't reveal them and they can always stalk you. To be honest, there is nothing you can do to counter it especially if the ghost face is using add ons to make it longer for you to reveal them.

What I reccomond doing is trying to loop him as long as possible. However, I don't expect the chase to last long because people who are good ghost face will go into there stalk mode to hide there red light. Leading you with no idea where they are going or where they are going to attack you from. This pretty much put you in a position in which you have to guess (at least it isn't as bad as the spirit).

You have to be good at looping.

GF players tend to not break pallets and try to mind game hits on survivors. Be weary that GF can also make the red stain disappear with night shroud.

Run Spine Chill and book it as soon as it lights up for longer than 3 seconds

Sprint burst help too. Especially if you don't reveal him and time your run right. You can dodge his swing which will break night shroud, cause his missed attack animation. Meanwhile you had 3 seconds of Naruto running to make distance. Sometimes, he'll just give up and not bother. Especially if you were on a gen with someone else.

Still though spine chill is an amazing perk against all killers

Ok calm down lol, you need to outlook him. You literally have a 3rd person camera and can reveal him before he exposes you by standing behind an object and keeping your camera fixed on him.

    Just look at him lol.

But seriously. Use Spine Chill to avoid him/know he’s coming, then look at him when his back is turned and proceed to loop him.

Turn your full character towards him works, it's mostly where your head is looking as far as I've noticed

Revealing him is secondary to creating distance from him. If he's actually stalking, keep your head on the swivel and get running as soon as you know he's looking at you. Be careful of trying to reveal him mid-chase, you might run into a tree or take bad pathing because you're looking over your shoulder, not at your looping route. If he reveals you, tell your teammates to just do gens. Most Ghostfaces will not leave chase until the mark is gone, because they invested a lot of time to mark you. If you're good at looping, you can make a monkey out of him, provided you create some distance before hand.

when your spine chill activates, break line of sight asap and look at the ground. always helps me. this is for a more immersed playstyle. if you like the attention on you, look at him and break him out of stalk. Make sure you’re within range though! he does have addons that affected range of breaking his stalk.

For me, spine chill is the best counter against GF

spine chill is a perk, and unless you run it every match it is not a reliable counter. and it's more of a noob perk so i don't expect any experienced survivor running it anyway
