Buffs??
As a survivor main and sometime killer player. I dont killers need a buff of any type. It's so easy to acquire a 4k its laughable. And as a casual player in red ranks it's almost to often that the killer gets a 4k. Instead of nerfs and buffs. How bout you learn the game and get better at the parts your bad at.

Depends in which Ranks you are for your easy 4Ks. Because when you play Killer "sometimes", you might be in low Ranks, and Killer is really easy in low ranks.
However, even tho some of the weaker Killer need Buffs or Reworks, it is not that bad for Killers in high Rank. But DBD players in general are whiny.

ur name defines ur mentality lmao git gud

I'm a rank 5 killer. GF and wraith main.

Thank you for your informative input.

It does pose the question, should red ranks form the basis of perfect balance?
As a casual killer and Survivor who doesn't sweat or try too hard I usually end up purple ranks around rank reset.
It's really clear when you get a really good killer/teammate and a really bad one however because of how weak killers tend to be in red ranks a really bad one can sweep you with ease at lower ranks.
Just like swf red rank Survivors with all the meta builds will easily win Vs a rank 17 or whatever especially if they get rng, weak killer and load out.

Look, the best I've been at in terms of rank was 1 pip off rank 5.
Yes it is easy to get a 4k, but once you go past rank 10, you're only gonna verse about 3 killers. For console players, it's Hillbilly, Myers and Spirit with a sprinkling of Ghostface for 95% of games. 4/17 Members of the cast after half the ranks are cleared, or about 23.5% of them.
That's nowhere near enough. We're asking for buffs to see some goddam diversity in the ranks. We wanna see some more variety than Bbq, Ruin + 2 killer related perks in perk builds. More than Spirit/Hillbilly/Ghostface/Myers/Nurse and certainly more than D-Strike, Adren, Spine Chill, Iron Will.
1 -
But really the killers are varied I play against them all ib red ranks. And if the killer knows what he is doing then he will probably get a 4k or at least the 3k
1 -
I agree with this. The game is balanced to the few super competitive super toxic players. Not what the majority is.
1 -
We are not playing the same Dead by Daylight then.
As soon as I hit purple, it was Hillbilly County, population 99% chainsaws!
Got through to rank 7, then there were some Myers thrown into the mix for flavour. Not really anything noteworthy outside of that.

If you loose against Legion, Clown, Trapper, Wraith, usw. in red ranks it's 100% on you. That's the main problem.
1 -
Why is that a problem. I'm complaining about the fact everyone wants buffs for every little thing. Losing is part of the game. I don't go into every game expecting a 4k or an 4 man escape.
1 -
The problem is how the killers that get requested for buffs are severely weak compared to the rest of the cast. Yes its possible to 4k with every killer but it's just a matter of luck.
1 -
Luck with lots of skill.

Oh, that's a perfectly constructive, contributing idea to this VALID discussion. Do I agree? No. But there's no need to insult like this.
3 -
I play console and see all types of killers.
0 -
Yeah exactly
0 -
Because very good survivors are literally escaping 90% of the time. Against killers that got no viability.
0 -
No not exactly. I play both but started with survivor and make it to rank 5 every season mainly because I dont play too often with killer. But it's not horribly hard. Do ihave a few games where I play a toxic super team yes. But it's not every game. And its usually a 2 or 3k game if not the 4k. I play wraith and GF. Once you learn the game and when to chase or slug or juggle. It's very easy to play and win killer. But to ask for buffs because a certain killer is not always giving you the 4k every game is stupid. Learn the game and get better.
I am a rank 1 survivor (mainly cause it's stupid easy to rank up) but I'm also a casual player I'm not toxic and still lose in games or barely escape some games. Because the killer took the time into learning the game to get those kills.
1 -
I dont think that's super accurate. If they are good and beat you. That means you learn from it and improve on the next game. Not ask for buffs for killers to be more powerful. And not only that that ruins the game for early players and mid players. On both sides.

You must play Killer a lot more than your letting on because I play a good bit of Killer about 2 hours a night with survivor more or less under an hour. I started this season at rank 12 and after multiple 4K's I have just reached purple ranks.
0 -
O I'm not talking about right now. I'm rank 9 right now from reset. I was rank 5 at the end of season. My bad.
0 -
I have done enough talking with surv mains how can a person talk or suggest about balance who hasnt played the rest 50% of the game?
0 -
But I have already stated that I have played the other half. So your comment is invalid. But have a nice day. See you the next forum

Anyway let's look at the current state of the game where Ruin is a must have Perk at any rank below 7. Once you step into this territory you hit the more coordinated swf and more and more people hit great skill checks consistently.
At some point in time the game has flip flopped to the point that Killer is almost no longer the Apex of the map. I know how to run loops I have made many Killers rage quit or just straight out camp me and I don't blame any of them for doing so.
1 -
Toxic doesn't mean good it means someone that want to destroy your experience in the game
1 -
And I'm fine with others players being better then me a game. That's where the skill factor goes into play.
0 -
I think killers are in a relatively okay spot. I 4k fairly often, though there are still games where I have to get my rear in gear to get the kills (and there are some games where I get beat / unlucky and lose). Some killers can use a slight buff, others like Legion need an entire (good) rework, other killers are good as they are in the game's current state.
Once BHVR's plans to bring Solo survivors (as well as 2 and 3-man groups) closer to 4-man groups have been implemented, killers can then recieve additional buffs to bring them up-to-par on that, though that'll likely still take a long time as it's a fairly complicated topic.

Read what I said
0 -
I couldn't agree more.
0 -
I read it. And I understand the difference between toxic and good. But the game shouldn't be balanced around the toxic players.
0 -
But is not
0 -
Sir, stop this nonsense
1 -
And what nonsense would that be sir?

u play killer 'sometimes' try to play at red ranks for few weeks ur opinions will change
0 -
I don't have to play any more then I do. For the combo of both killer and survivor time that I have is enough to suffice the game is in a pretty goodish spot. You never will be perfect. Due to the skill levels needed and the amount of effort to please both sides will never be reached. It's what every person says get better and you will achieve greater feats.

whats ur dbd playtime?
0 -
863hrs on xbox
0 -
hehe thats not enough boi I used to think doctor was overpowered when I had that kind of hours
0 -
I never said any killer was Overpowered I stated that most are fine with the skill for use behind them.
0 -
That are my statistics on red ranks survivor. It's a fair matchup, if i go against spirit or nurse, but every other killer gets steamrolled.
0 -
Ik u will not understand atm as u play more and have more experience ur opinions will change :p but u need to keep playing both roles to see the difference
0 -
I agree. Getting 4k at red ranks with Clown is too easy. No buffs needed.
