Stridor or Whispers?
Which perk do you prefer? I think most people would have gone with the early version of Whispers since it could help you find the first and last player in a match but now it's more geared to helping you find the first and second player in a match.
Some swear up and down that Stridor is great but alternatively you can use a pair of headphones and almost go deaf for the same effect.

Whispers is way better than stridor.
I find that that stridor is only useful to find people in pain. You gotta be a tile or two at most away from the person, from my experience, for stridor to be useful against a healthy survivor.
They made injured survuvors a bit easier to find now anyways.2 -
Whispers is currently better than Stridor but when or if it gets changed that may changed with it.1

Whisper is 2nd best killer perk right after Enduring.

However I will say this. I have had the game for exactly a year. But Only started playing killer during winter event. So 8 months of experience and rank one killer. Never used nurse or billy. Just michael and trapper. Whispers is useful if you want to get that 4th kill.
If you are satisfied with getting 3 kills. Then whispers isn’t needed really. i don’t care about 4 kills anymore. Just take the points and leave.

Bloodhound is better than both I’d say0

Whispers is overall more useful. However if they buffed Stridor I would definitely use it because it's actually quite effective when it works.

I prefer Stridor and run it often. I like it in chases when they are hiding behind objects trying to sneak away and trick me

Whispers, easily.

Stridor. New Whispers works like "Yeah, there is a survivor on the map", it is useless, while Stridor helps with chases sometimes, and works good on stealth killers.

Personally I don't like whispers. The range is too big for my tastes. Stridor works well for me because I already hear well in game.
So when Stridor actually works (wasn't it bugged for a while?), I can hear breathing very easily just walking past a crouched survivor. I can already hear breathing decently without it if close enough, but Stridor makes it actively get my attention and parse the sounds.
if your hearing isn't so good, but you can parse out the sounds well, then you can just turn your volume up instead of running the perk.
Stridor is not for everyone though. If you don't actively pick out sounds (it's very easy to to be distracted or occupied in this game as killer since you have more stimuli to pay attention to), then it's likely not a good perk for you.
Whispers is a very strong perk, and can be utilized well without that focus after practicing with it. There's a lot going on in the game, so Whispers is often best for most people. I've noticed it very effective on killers like Billy and Nurse.
I'd also add that when you're finding that one last survivor on the map after the 3K, Whispers is a lot more effective. If you get around the map fast early/mid game too, you can also use it get an idea of survivors spread on the map.
I'd try them both out and see what you like best. Typically Whispers jives with most peoples' play styles and game sense though. Either perk can feel really rewarding to use when you do locate that survivor.
