Escape and depip smh
Iv had several games where my team was first to go down dced or killed them selves on first hook I tried to do gens but they all fell pray fo the camping killer two matches like this I got hatch both times and I de pipped you can not rely on this pipping system yes it needed to be harder then it was before but now it’s just a joke

Alright well like everything theres a reason for this though its because apparently some survivors would play hide and go seek (IN a bad way) and wait for all survivors to die so they could just get the hatch and leave. Or just wait for the survivors to do the gens and leave. The current system is good because you get rewarded for how good you do (sadly this is a negative because if you get tunneled and camped you just depip and thats how things go i guess).

It needs fixed the old system wasn’t great but this one Iv seen have too many complaints and punishes the wrong the people sometimes

Perfect system would account for d/c and reward you for 3/2/1vs1. Escaping should grant safety pip especially when someone d/c'd

With how the watch works it's pretty much a free escape. Why do you think that you deserve a pip when you didn't even work for that hatch? Lol.
You think that if you get lucky to find it then you deserve to rank up?

I think the point is that the match didn't make it possible to even get to a point where you can get enough points to get a pip, which is not the survivor's fault. And yes I agree that the survivor didn't have to work for that hatch and might not deserve the pip, but he doesn't deserve to deppipe either.

Well , survivors are still a team so if all the other 3 sucked or DC'd then why would OP expect to get a pip because of that?
Take a team vs team game like overwatch. Lets say all of your team are crap. DO you still get a safety draw/win because of that? No. You get a loss.
So , playing survivor is kinda similar , but you can stil end up getting safety pip or even a +1.
Not much you can do about that.
And anyway , any player who played long enough knows how easy it is to pip anyway even when you die. I don't think the devs have to make it even easier.

Next time when the killer is camping do gens. It takes 2 minutes to die on hook.
If you're just hiding waiting for the hatch instead of playing you probably should depip so the matchmaking can match you against a weaker killer who you may try actually do your objective against.
A hatch escape is not your objective, generators are.

The Emblem system isn't working in soooo many cases. That's one of them.
We need another system to decide over pips.

There are a lot of things wrong with the current survivor emblem system, I agree, but ranking up being too difficult is not one of them.

Both sides' pips are not based solely on the overall outcome of the game, and it's overall healthier for it.
You basically said you did nothing then lucked out and found the hatch. Was that a skillful performance? Did you really outplay that killer or just get lucky on where the hatch spawned?
Not every escape is worth your rank going up.

Ahh, yes I've had this where my team see the killer an poof. Gone. This is why I think the killer should be known before the match starts, it does not make people play as is current. It just makes them leave or kill themselves on the hook.
I have said before when you get hooked it should be a given you get a black pip. This would stop deranking when you get a tunneling or camping killer and also in your case too. Because you could walk up to the killer and ask him to kill you, even a nice killer will do it, if they know why instead of giving the hatch.
I also don't think a killer should de-pip for such silliness because it's not their fault they were not known until the match started. Any player of this game will know a lot people leave against some killers, just for the fact they are that killer.
It does not matter if you agree or not with the reason, the fact remains the same.
