So oni is basically better myers?
The way oni gets his power is easier than myers, and the power he gets is better than myers too. Not to mention he doesn't start with 105% speed
So i guess myers needs buff?

Myers could def use some qol changescwhich I'm certain he will get eventually..in the meantime..with the oni..as a friend of mine would say
Better put on your 3D glasses beech because its comin right at ya!!

Billy is a better everything yet no one complains about him
*shrugs*
6 -
At least billy needs a good player... his chainsaw is much harder to use correctly than oni's power
2 -
Billy's power can be used constantly though and doesn't need to m1 to initially gain any power 😉. The only thing the Oni has over Billy is the flick he has but both can be avoided by the survivors changing direction or being close to objects.

But compare myers to oni, it's obsolete.. everything myers have are completely outclassed by oni except the stealth and other small things..
0 -
Hence why I said he needs some qol changed..but he also gains different benefits and such

Maybe give him rage mode in T3 like build-in enduring, better brutal strength and faster movement speed... i don't know, but he definitely needs something.. his power is outdated..

Are you trying to imply myers is hard to play by comparison? You basically just slap on monitor and abuse and it's free stalking half the time.
Myers also gathers his power from a distance, where-as Oni needs to score hits to gain his (much harder against good survivors, who will make you fight for every hit). Myers can also gain his power off wounded survivors.
Oni also won't be able to snowball like myers can, since his power resets when you pick someone up.

Myers outclassed Wraith
Ghostface outclassed Myers
Oni outclassed Myers
Devs "buff" Myers with Undetectable.
Just not a good year for our favorite slasher.

no myers doesnt need a buff. begone myers main

I'd say built in brutal perhaps

Myers has been slowly dropping in power for awhile now. Most of the great Myers I see anymore have jumped to Ghostface who is more fair and more fun to play. A Good Ghostface will dominate a match harder then Myers ever could.
Not talking about that crappy build TrueTalent came up with either. While Nurse's Calling is amazing in him it's mostly used to make it so your more versatile and less weak in certain maps.
Some people are starting to think he dropped from A to Mid class. I find it funny it's not that he's weaker just other killers do what he can better anymore.

Are you sure myers has free stalking all the time?
In my experience, the moment i have 99% to tier 3, 2 or 3 gens are done since i have no pressure. If survivors spawn in farthest gen, it's worse.
In some games i only get to t3 once or twice before all gens are done
I play with no ruin and add-ons though, but shouldn't still be able to do well even without anything?

That's what i think. His power is outdated, and plays too slowly
0 -
He's not a better myers, they just have similar mechanics. Oni is about brute force, myers is about stealth.
Actually, I'd say myers is the middle ground between Oni and Ghostface. Pure force is Oni, pure stealth is Ghostface, dead middle is Myers

Not really as Myers doesn't need to injure someone first. They also have so many ways to play the char from tier 1 to tier 3.
The Oni movement is easily avoided already and I can see becoming even more of an issue over time and will become a Billy 2 where being close before activating is more beneficial to the down much like it is atm with Myers.
Oni has a couple of problems and really has to slug to benefit the most from the power. To gain it you must first injure someone. Downing them with the power is then counter productive as an m1 will do the same. It can be used to catch up but then you are draining its use. Hooking removes it so that is also counter productive allowing more lives in essence.
The only real difference then is map pressure from the powers but again what good is that map pressure when hooking removes it allowing the survivors to have more lives overall.

I think Myers is cool because of how versatile his addon suite is. I hate how you can't be seen all game then bam he insta downs you. I won't block for a friend anymore with him since I usually get tombstoned helping him.
More and more killers are being pushed down by newer killers. While Survivors meta change base on perks and counters. The killer meta changes based on perks and powers. It's why certain killers never see play outside the rare main or daily anymore.

I don't think comparing Killers is the way to go about it, it'd be nice if he got buffed but they both have their ups and downs, you can even use Myers' stalk to find people, you got subtle changes, as well as big.

I agree he is between ghostface and oni. But he doesn't excel in anything.
So he is easily countered by survivors since his stealth is not good enough to catch good survivors, and in chase, he is also easily looped since he has nothing to help him in chase except vault speed
So despite having mixed power, he is the weakest among them

IMO you need to compare killers. Killers with similar power should be compared because we don't want another case like billy and bubba
But if you compare hag and trapper, they have different upsides and downsides which makes them both a good choice.
But myers.. he is not in good spot. His power is considerably weaker than ghostface and oni, although they all shares similar power
So i guess it's time to buff our boogeyman :)

Thats the basis of a tier system though. If X killer has similar power to Y Killer , but as a result Z Killer still performs better overall.
A huge massively part of playing Killer is
- Who do you enjoy playing?
- What are you proficient in?
- What are you lacking in?
- Are there perks that help with those weaknesses?
You can play low tier killers and dominate with them because you enjoy them more then a higher performing one. Most of the upper tier killers are universally good and you wont need to really be that good with them to dominate I.E Billy and Spirit.
Mostly it comes down to what are you playing killer for? Do you need a 4k by any means necessary even if you dont enjoy said killer? Do you find it fun to win with lower tiered killers? Just for a daily?

Well said, good basis to say a current state of said Killer.

I meant comparing them right now cause it's PTB.
I hope Myers gets a buff, all I want is faster stalking speed.
It would make sense if he broke pallets faster in EW3 as well.

Ah.. then sorry for misunderstood you.
And i agree with faster stalking. If they make the evil in survivors replenish over time, it will be a good QoL change..

Myers is the last killer that can be turned into an M1 killer with no power (was trapper too)... since he can run out of stalk... I defo feel like this should get fixed.

Honestly I could go on a huge rant about gen pressure and why people solely rely on Hex: Ruin despite it being bad for them. It's the fundamentals of a killer that should not be neglected yet too often I see people neglect a huge part of the killer side.
- Survivor Pressure
- Map Pressure
- Generator Pressure
- Time Management
As a killer it's your job to micromanage each of these 4 categories. You need to give survivors a reason to get off the gens I.E. Hooks, Slugged Survivor, Chases, Healing, ETC. You need to understand if you have chased the survivor too long without any gain. Be aware of gen progress, but still have some form of map pressure. Understand which gens u need to protect for end game in case things go south.
Yet how many players in general seem to know how to do more then 1 or 2. Some killers actually help create pressure due to powers. Spirit, Myers, Plague, Pig, Ghostface, Wraith, Hag, Trapper, Freddy, and Demogorgan are these killers yet most are considered low low tier.
Sorry random rant lmao

Pretty much, yes.

Michael, atleast, can mori the survivors without a mori
0 -
Oni has a neutral lunge on par with Myers or better when in blood rage. Also shreds pallets like capt. crunch.
0 -
Yeah, not to mention oni gets power faster and easier
0 -
Myers might be a worse Oni atm but look at Bubba, new instadown killer that has one of the fastest pallet breaks in the game, tracking potential with the iridescent addon, and an "in a pinch" mobility tool. Not to mention he stays fast while holding a club with the power to smite anyone unfortunate enough to be infront of him without 6 pallets to use.

That undetectable "buff" hits different. That was a gut punch to favor people who don't bother looking around themselves.

He's Myers on Crack. I'm not even sure what to do about Myers. There are a bunch of killers in desperate need for Buffs.
0 -
He is Myers on steroid lol
0 -
Oni is 25% Billy, 25% Myers, 50% m1 killer.
0 -
Isn't ghostface also better than Myers
0 -
At least they both have enough difference in their strength and weakness
But oni vs myers? Oni wins in nearly every aspect
