Has DBD ever introduced you to something

Lots of people love to rag on Dead By Daylight but has it ever done something for you. Dead By Daylight got me into online multiplayer games and my newfound love for multiplayer games soon got me into fps games like Rainbow and others, so I do respect Dead By Daylight for making me try game I probably would have never played ever.

Dbd is the first game that I really found a group of friends and a community that I felt apart of.

I started watching the Ash v Evil Dead series on Netflix after being gifted the Ash dlc by a friend.

It also widened my horizon for game playing.

Going to be honest. I was NEVER a horror fan growing up. I always looked away when I knew something scary was going to happen, and actively avoided the horror genre as much as possible.

Eventually I gave in. While I did see a few horror games prior, Dead by Daylight was the first proper thing I got into. Before this, I had never heard of Michael Myers, and only vaguely knew about Leatherface and Freddy (the only other licensed Killers at the time).

Now I can practically explain the entire Saw storyline by memory (practically, it's still a complete mess).

I had a similar story, I used to hate horror but soon it came from fear to interest and now I'm a huge fan of horror.

Ill be honest with you, i didn't know much about horror films until, i had only watched SAW and it was a pretty scary experience

the only killers I recognized were Freddy and Amanda (i thought she was Hoffman at first).

DBD made me watch texas chainsaw massacre and halloween.

I was watching only a few horror movies and never watched halloween or nightmare on elm street but since dbd brought those killers into the game I watched them and hate myself for not seeing those movies.

And because of DBD I met 2 of my most appreciated and best friends that I even trust my life on in reallife. I never met so many cool and interesting ppl than here, not even in World of Warcraft.

During a period of time where I wasn't playing any video games (let alone multiplayer games), I got into DBD. I also dislike horror, but this game makes me forget about that and crave the nail-biting escapes I rarely get. I have been playing basically religiously since September after having the game since 2017, and I can't wait to hit Level 70 on The Rift.

It's not too crazy to say that Dead By Daylight brought back my love for gaming.

Nope, DbD has done nothing for me.
