No, dying doesn't mean killer was better than you.
As a solo survivor you are completely at your teammates' mercy. If the other survivors decide to play dumb your chances to survive will be almost 0 and best case scenario you'll get the hatch. I personally don't find satisfying to survive in that way, but i rather take those 7K bps tbh.
PD: if you lose against a killer when playing with friends then yeah, it's totally on you guys.

I play a lot of solo. I agree, you’re by the merciful hands of your team, not the killer. In 3-4 SWF it is based on your team altogether with skill or “good” comms. In a solo or SWF with 2 people that are together, it’s more about you as a player.

Yeah this sounds like excuses and attempts to discredit killers.
"They didn't actually outskill me and kill/down me my teammates were just bad."

It depends on how a survivor themselfes think of "Victory"
Because only obvious one is "I escaped" or "I died" survivors made some new "goals" within the game.
For example: The Tomes are perfect example of that. Survivor who did the challenge might feel like they've won the match even if they didn't survive

Killer main - yup. Dying means you were likely either screwed over by teammates or the killer was so insecure that they had to be the kinds of cowards who bring moris, tunnel, camp, or need NOED. While it can mean the survivor in question was outplayed once, it doesn't mean that the same killer against the same survivor is going to get the same result consistently.
Killers are not the power role, despite low-rank survivors claiming otherwise. A coordinated team of survivors of halfway decent skill can body a well-versed killer even with an unoptimal setup, and a lot of killers would rather whine about looping or pallets than develop genuine skill of their own to deal with the survivor skillset.

For the most part I agree but the only time I've used the I killed your response is typically if a survivor takes it upon themselves to call me trash or bad.
At which point my main response to them is typically if I'm trash or bad and you died me what does that say about you.
But for the most part your team could very easily make or break whether you win which is kind of needed in a 1 v 4 game

I agree, which is why Survivors can still increase in rank after being sacrificed. You can still play really well and be killed. It just has to do with the overall team effort to escape the Killer and how well they help you out.

You can pip as killer with no kills as well. Did they do a good job killing?

Only certain killers like legion and doctor
Try to pip as plague with no kill. Most of the time i 2-3k and depip, let alone pipping

My overall point, which was from the perspective of a Survivor, is that the game rewards you for playing well. A Killer can also increase their rank if they still performed well throughout the match—patrolling Generators, chasing Survivors and downing them and a variety of other actions.

Killers should keep in mind what it's like to play against good survivors before gloating about killing randoms.
