PSA: Dead giveaway killer has NOED
Two words.
TUNNEL VISION.
Now I don't mean "tunneling" in the standard DBD terminology. Tunneling is when you go after a survivor that was just rescue from a hook. While this is part of the statement made above, I'm not explicitly talking about this.
What I mean when I say "tunnel vision" is that the killer will NEVER let up in a chase. Whoever they find first they will chase until they catch them. Doesn't matter if it is 5 seconds or 5 minutes. The killer will NEVER drop the chase to go after someone else, with the rare exception that they can instantly catch that other person (eg. they see you jump into a locker, they will ditch the chase to grab you out of a locker).
But in terms of their play style, these are the types of killers that simply cannot accept that they might not catch a particular survivor. They refuse to just let someone go in order to pressure gens or find a weaker target. Hence the phrase "tunnel vision".
I'd like to mention this is only the typical behavior of NOED killers. It is not always going to be the case, as I myself have used NOED on occasion but I will not just chase someone all game. However, if the killer in question uses NOED often, they will do this pretty much every time. It's to a point where I can pretty consistently call out if the killer has NOED or not long before the last gen pops.
So if you find yourself in an endless chase, expect NOED at the end of the game. Take out all the totems and the killer will be clearly seen panicking when gates are powered, probably because most survivors will just rush gens while their one friend gets chased and thus NOED will proc often for these killers.

no ruin or bad killer = noed 99%

There's the possibility that these players play like this regardless, which consistently leads to an early end game. So they equip Noed instead of evolving their gameplay.

Yea, classic "chicken or the egg" problem. But either way, it's the signal they have NOED is my point. If they refuse to let the survivor go and do something else, that's a NOED gamer.
Additionally, if they ever lose the survivor you can see them visibly flustered trying to find them where they were last seen. It's like they can never accept they were outplayed by someone else.

Sometimes I stick out a chase just because the survivor is really good. I feel challenged by chasing them. Usually only after I got a sacrifice or 2 already though.
2 -
Eh, I run Ruin and NOED on Spirit sometimes, it's fun.
2 -
bad killer = spirit. I guess I already said that ;)
2 -
also the way they play during the game can be dead giveaways for noed

I feel like a better give away that someone has no one escapes death he said they're not too concerned with generators.
They'll usually not kick generators even if they are close to completion and they have the time.
Another thing they will often do is not really patrol generators. Basically if somebody gets unhooked they'll usually go straight back to the hook rather than focusing on people doing gens.
Most people who use no one escapes death (I mean actually use it not just have it to cover up a bad play) tend to want the generators to be completed especially if they're running an endgame build because if the it doesn't hit endgame the whole setup kind of a waste

Yeah, I can almost always guess if NOED's in play just from how the killer plays. Especially if they miss a hit they 100% should have hit. I swivel back and forth a lot, if they miss 2 or 3 hits, I'm calling NOED.
Bonus points if they're camping.

While this may be true, even if you are running an end game build it is a bad idea to ignore gens completely. Like, you might not have to go out of your way to stop them but you do want to stop them when you can. Even the strongest end game build is a HUGE risk to the killer, because they are putting all their eggs in one basket. If you get a bad totem, or if survivors are smart and don't open the doors right away (for Blood Warden) they effectively gut your entire build. You shouldn't be forcing end game, you should be playing normally yet prepared for end game. That is a much wiser decision, one because you don't know how end game will actually play out (and if it goes badly you have 0 room to recover) and two to hide the fact you might be running NOED.
This also kind of plays into the "tunnel vision" I talk about since they will ignore basic killer function to chase. Also going right back to a hook is the classic tunneling we all know and love, so that fits my description too.
Basically if the killer acts like they don't care about anything but killing one guy before the last gen pops, that's a NOED.

I might give the first survivor more of my time depending on how theyre playing. If I'm running Bubba and theyre going from 1 pallet to the next on one side of the map to camp each and insta-throw them... Yeah, you get my attention. I dont care if I lose 3 gens to this guy, I know for sure him and his team arnt getting any of the gens on this side of the map now, lol.

Hm?

If the killer isn't doing a good job at slowing down gen progression too that's also a sign.

Frosty eyes = NOED 100%
4 -
you are probably the worst spirit out there if you need noed
5 -
Ruin and noed on Spirit....what the heck.. bring a tank to a knife fight. Probably running prayer beads and wondering how you got so good. Spirit doesn't need either but at least pick one. Slow it down early or late game build.
5 -
Trapper's wearing the Lederhosen cosmetic are always running NOED.

If a survivor is hugging an infinite or abusing BL I’ll chase them for five gens just to make sure they die.
1 -
Insurance. Plus, it's fun to get messaged about using NOED when there are 3 gens left.
1 -
The amount of times I've had to use NOED as Spirit is pretty slim. I really only do it to make people angry when they see my build.
Also, it means you lost to a three perk Spirit, which is hilarious.
2 -
What is hilarious about that? It's not like she is Wraith. I'm pretty confident I could win most of my Spirit games with only whispers and I'm a bad killer.
1 -
I use to use it on my OG Freddy build for this very reason. The amount of salt I got in endgame chat about being a bad killer who needs NOED is ridiculous when I would 4k with gens remaining.

I rarely see good killers using NoED so by the way killer usually plays I can tell if they have NoED or not. If the signs are there I cleanse well hidden totems that I come across and leave easy ones be so if NoED comes to play its more easily found.

Eh, it isn't like I ever need it.
It's like equipping Mad Grit on rank reset, I only do it for kicks and giggles, it isn't like it will help me.
1 -
Exactly!
0 -
Bad survivor = perks ;)
3 -
Each their own, I just don't like to play for salt. People text you when the perk doesn't even activate?
0 -
Yes.
3 -
So if I want survivors to think I have NOED then I need to commit to chases, got it!
0 -
Ooooo, i like that you're trying to spread this information.
Because i prefer to play in this manner (chase until they're on a Hook), but i really dislike No One Escapes Death.
You saying this might make it so more'll waste time cleansing Dull Totems for nothing but BP. 🤗

I usually run BBQ/Ruin/Pop/NOED on some weaker killers and play well, having useful perks for each phase of the game.
But you know, I can 5 gen a team, close the hatch, have the last person get healed for their failure state Adrenaline, hit them with my well deserved NOED, and get called trash by the potato brigade.

🙋♂️
I never run noed and I almost never give up on a chase.
How do I fit in your thing?
0 -
Like most stereotypes, its application to reality is non-existent, as you have just demonstrated.
0 -
If the killer is using a frosty eyes cosmetic I always look extra hard for totems to cleanse, as they're normally the main culprits for NOED 😅

It's not a stereotype dude. It's an observation of what a typical NOED user does. Of course there will always be exceptions, but better to err on the side of caution if a killer never relents in a chase.
