Figured I'd try my hand at Billy since Ive been playing Bubba so much lately and someone said I should just swap over already. Had afew good games, said afew GGs. Then I got to this group... The game itself was decently tough, nothing too special... It was the endgame chat that got me.
As someone who likes to screw around with different killers, rather than just stick to my main and slaughter every group I run into, as well as someone who doesnt get to play much at ll during the week... this confused me. Whats with this logic of your rank means something? I know Ive seen ppl talk about adding players to their mori on sight list and all that and thinking it kinda pathetic, but in cases like this guy...I kinda get it. Thoughts?

Rank 1 - gets reset to rank 10....yeah being rank 7 couldnt possibly mean you know anything about the game xD lmfao
That logic makes no sense i know ranking as a survivor can be easy but its not the same for killer you gotta have some skill to be red/purple ranks and be able to deal with constant swf groups.

I like how he says rank 8s are ######### yet with how the pip system is im pretty sure anyone could become red rank if they really wanted to at least as survivor. I got to rank 7 last season while messing around for the most part.

Ignore it. Adding them to a "Mori list" would waste your time, and also should somewhat be pathetic. But yeah, just ignore it.

I think this guy is the one who doesn't know anything about the game.
It doesn't matter if you're Rank 1 or 20, rank doesn't mean #########.
What matters is your skill and given Billy is not your main and you still got a 2k, I'd say you're pretty good.

Im going to assume he is the guy that escaped with 24.138 BPS, ignore him. Many of the players, both killers and survivors that get to this high rank think they are the best players in the game and get all up their high horses because they feel skillfull for bringing meta perks that work in most scenarios without bringing any downsite or requiring any plan (Iridescent moris against solo queuers-adrenaline+decisive to run away to the gate as soon as hooked- old instaheals which were thankfully nerfed)
This guy is just another example of these kinds of players, there are a lot of skilled and smart players at red ranks that use original builds or good stealth/altruistic strategies, but many of them (survivors most since it is much easier to rank up as them) play meta and use strong addons (green toolbox + brand new part = killer's worst nightmare) and act like the killer is an idiot for not being able to counter a decisive strike next to an opened gate or a team with toolboxes and prove thyself.
And you are completely right for the latency with dedicated servers, he's just salty AF (which doesn't even make sense since he escaped with the most points in the match) You can clearly see this by how he acts so smug with the "later #########". If someone ends a conversation with that I just loose all the care about that person's opinion (I use that once and I still believe it was stupid to end it like that)

Looks like rank 7 means you can't understand latency problems. You are simply beneath them even though purple and red ranks go hand in hand :P

I will agree on his point tho. Killer with bad ping might affect the match dramatically. Tested this myself and sadly nothing has been done about old lagswitch
