Killer Philosophy and being flamed by survivors.
Hey guys, new to the game here. I've been playing for like 3-4 days and I absolutely love this game!!! I play mostly as a killer, but I have noticed that when I do well people send me bad, bad messages lol. But I wanted to get some opinion's on what the role of the killer is and what is the end goal.
Too make a long story short, I had a good game and got like 25k blood points. After the game I was flamed by the survivors for killing only one of them. I did the best on blood-points which is always my goal, because this is obviously a survivors game (which I'm cool with).
After many exchanged messages I challenged them to a rematch, too which they reluctantly agreed. We agreed to play two games, one where I was going to play a level 1 killer with no perks and add-ons, and another with the Freddie load-out that I terrorized them with previously (Freddy with the class photo and the green dress =P).
After the first game they told me I was terrible because I camp (which isn't true) and because I received no kills. Then they booted me out of the party and refused to do another game with my Freddie. Now my philosophy is since this is a survivors game, I am perfectly happy with no kills as long as I get the most blood-points (and in that regard I failed but just barely). So if I get no kills and 25-30k blood-points, I am perfectly happy with the outcome of the game. Is this wrong. In my defense I feel like I won this game because they outranked me by 10 ranks and had all upgraded add-ons, perks, and offerings and I still managed to to this well. I dunno what do you guys think, am I just an awful killer because I got no kills???

In truth You win when you either piped or killed at least 2 .( to be fair its my opinion the second part).
Blood points are just basically the exp you got and have 0 and i repeat 0 say in whether you won or lost.
And in this game its 2 deaths 2 escapes the goal of the devs.And its not a survivor's game. Its a both killer and survivor game.

from my perspective they owned you pretty hard sorry about that. (oddly enough you did worse with the 2nd best killer than with the worst one freddy . Exellent work).

Yes, now I would like to hear the opinion of someone who is not the guy who flamed me in game (I know this is you and I do love our PSN conversations =P). BTW it sure is a survivors game for a-lot of reasons not gonna go into a detailed list with you when that has already been covered in the forums, and the devs have themselves come out and said that it is a survivors game. Also Freddie is not the worst killer LMAO. Just because you don't like Freddie is no reason to say he is the worst killer in the game (shame on you). But I do look forward to playing with you again! And as I said before GG. So are you gonna get your other 3 buddies to post on here as well?

Although i do get why you think im the same person. Hell im Extremely suprised and sad that someone with my Exact name did that to you . Are you sure its the same name? because i never had a PSN account. And its impossible for me because i cant play the game anywere right now.

YAY. I made a post in this forum a while back to ask "what is a win in dbd for you " or something similar and the responses where really varied. Some said kills ,others said bloodpoints ,others said "TOXIC TBAGS DEDEDEDED!!"#!T!" , Others said both points, pips and kills, ect... it was really diverse.
Mine is either a 1 man and pip or 2 man. Safetys are draws. Depips are loss. BUT loss with good end game chat is good too. No end game chat is whatever and "FOOKING TUNNER!!/!/!/!( and similar)" is either very funny or sad.

now when I compare the results of my original rematch game with my most recent game, it seems I would've pip'd twice against those guys, but I'm not sure because the blood-points don't add up in the end, and you can't see if you would have pip'd in a private match. hmmm...

yeah. i would have probably been a safety pip since you got no devout and silver on the rest i guess? Who knows right?
What is important in dbd is that you have fun. Ranks hardly matter anyways.

actually you can hover over the icons and see what their requirements are and their progress towards their levels too.

As soon as you're fine with the game, it's good.
Here's my advice, on the long run :
Just consider every single survivor as an offender. If they don't do it, it's mostly because they do not have the skill level just yet to feel confident to do it.Basically, they're just cattle and you have no reasons to go easy on them if you don't feel like it, because even if you do, it will very likely go unnoticed and you'll get insulted/flamed whatever happens.
Just rekt them if you can, lose if you cannot, and throw a "gg wp" in the endgame chat and leave the lobby without trying to discuss. It will save you a lot of time, and brain cells.2 -

Game is easier for survivors and stacked against killers, so I get what you mean in terms of survivors game.

When I play killer I usually main Doctor (for the points). Let me tell you right now, you don't need to kill to pip. Killing helps considerably, but you can get away with a good Chaser and a good Malicious emblem. In my philosophy you are a winner as long as you see yourself as one. I personally set a handful of custom goals for myself:
- Earn points/BBQ tokens
- Scare survivors
- D E S T R O Y F L A S H L I G H T S
- Spare the last survivor if I'm content with the match.
As long as I can do at least one of these goals I consider it a good game. Experiment, try your best and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.0 -

Boi that's the healthiest way you can play dbd. Chat is a sewer dump 90% of the time and I'm being generous with the 90% btw. I've never seen a game allow other players to freely drop the n word and be so volatile. Even league has a healthier community fking league. Treat chats like pollution zones and avoid them.

That's the healthiest way considering the game is designed to be toxic, and revolving around abuse rather than fairplay.
