too many nerfed killers. time to quit DBD?
so i play 50/50 survivor killer. and i have to say being a killer is soo hard now. too many nerfed kilers? also MOST survivors ranked 13 to 20 are useless now. so unless you get good macth making all the time you will be carrying someone.

Early 2018 was also painful. Not as, but pallet vaccuum was bad.
Killer has honestly never been easier. Could it be better? For some killers, yeah. But if you're struggling as hard as your post makes it sound you are, either try another killer or you're just not very good in general and need to keep practicing.
I, for example, am terrible at playing Hag or Nurse, have moderate success as Spirit or Billy, and do very well as Trapper or Myers.

Killer is the easiest it's ever been tbh. If you're struggling all the time 24/7 its probably not the game.
Killers only have major issues against swf squads consisting of 4 players with a lot of experience. You won't run into these every day.

Killer is so much less painful than in the early days of dbd. As trapper needed four seconds to set a trap. And hag too. And you were able to instavault a pallet from any direction. And instablinds existed.
Killer life is way better than ever before.

or your playing legion against a decent team who dont heal themselves and stay spread out. some killers need buffs like legion and clown because they dont do nearly as good as the other killers do. The perks basically CARRY legion and now he lost all of them with the past nerf so im not gonna be thrilled to play him after the update.

I just want one OP killer that can be brought out at anytime to make survivors so scared of my massive swinging hog, that they DC and instantly ban themselves for 10 mins just by looking at me. That's not asking for a lot, and if I don't get it I will uninstall this game and have one of my buds at ICE deport an immigrant family. Your move, BHVR

Ghostface, Spirit, and Freddy(sometimes Wraith). When playing as a survivor, I can usually expect one of my teammates to DC when we have to face one of them.

If you play past rank 10 you know that killers are not the power role, they don't dictate the pace of the game, they are any shape of form in control.
You are just waiting for survivors to be over autruistic or to fck up.

It can be a little hard sometimes because the matchmaker/ranking/progression/swf systems are not the best; but too hard because of killer nerfs is ridiculous almost all of the killers are performing on a functional level at the very least.
I actually quit this game over a year ago, and when I came back- a lot of the problems I had when playing killer were gone and it was a much better experience overall. I got to see the night and day at how much it changed.

I can hardly agree but on some points I do.
Thing is. Lets look at my last 50 matches.
in 60% of the cases the killer was either tunneling or camping near hook and got a 3k or 4k with ease. No need to engage in difficult chases whatsoever. My teammates where either not carrying about escaping or fall for his camping.
In the other 40% of matches the killer was playing very good and actually leaving the hook and chasing someone else. The killer had a hard time to do a 3k or 4k. Very good ones with red addons still did it but the rest mostly ended their match with 1k or 2k.
So in my conclusion it is as of now and since some time EASIER to play stupid and camp or tunnel than playing normal and fair as killer.
Of course there are always those SWF teams where you will have a lot of trouble as killer no matter what.
This is another ground breaking thing. SWF is too op as of right now. Some groups are so well coordinated that even a high skilled killer cant win against them.
They need to fix that killers wont have it so easy when they camp or tunnel and SWF teams need a nerf or something so killers wont have a "unfun" and hard time. Dont get me wrong. Killer do need a challenge of course and it should be against good survivors. But SWF is just broken imho.

I don't know if it's time to quit; don't listen to the people that encourage you to quit, they're not smart.
I think I share your sentiments, but I think a lot of the killer changes that have happened, needed to happen. The issue in my mind is that survivors are always kept a smidge more powerful than the killer to serve as a handicap for newer survivors. There aren't any handicaps for killers really.

Or, instead of quitting the game completely because Spirit is going to get balanced, actually try to get good at killer. God forbid I actually have a difficult time getting a 4k.

I would take this more seriously if stats didn't just come out yesterday showing that killers are performing well over the 2k balance point. When they were favored, "Entitled survivors" were told to "git gud" when they cried about killers. Well, time for killers to stop making excuses and "git gud"

I'm a Killer main and even I feel this is a bit dramatic. I played back in 2016... nothing could be that bad. That being said, alot of the lower tier Killers need help. Like Legion, Clown, and Wraith!

I understand killer can be frustrating at times for sure but this really seems to be an overreaction. I’ve played since 2016 and let me tell you something, if killer players didn’t quit back then with: Slower animations and actions for EVERYTHING, double pallets, pallet vacuums, no entity blockers, 30-40 pallets per map, 4x as large swamp maps, guaranteed fast vaults no matter what, instant blind flashlights, instant heal medkits, old DS god mode, old BT double godmode, EVERY MAP having ONLY garbage totem spawns, old Trapper, old Hag, old Freddy, 80% heal speed self care, faster heal speeds overall, guaranteed pallet/flashlight saves, not being able to kick and regress gens, etc. Then we sure as hell shouldn’t be crying about quitting now. Could things be better? Of course. Are they bad though? No.

what do you mean? The stats still include players that fart during a trial, if they removed those stats it would show how weak killers are, probably put them all below 10% kill rate.

Fungoose is also one of the best and most knowledgeable streamers out there for DBD. I don't think you can compare his games to most average games Almo.

As for killers, yes I do wish all killers were viable and the devs actually listened too the community (Nurse) but killer is def getting better. Back in the day windows were never blocked, jungle gyms always had 2 pallets, all vaults were fast vaults, vacuum pallets and infinites were pretty much everywhere. Is it as balanced as it could/should be? hell no, but it is def better then it was.
What rank are you playing as killer? because that will change on who you're fighting. If you are struggling against killer that badly that you're gonna quit DBD, watch some tutorials and practice more. idk what else too tell ya.

The contention was, "Killers are not in control above rank 10". This is not true. The many Killer streamers who are in control are counter-examples. This is also does not appear to be true according to the statistics that show Killers averaging 75% kill rate at high rank.

Stats that Peanits have said you shouldn't draw any conclusions on. So which is it? Do we listen to the stats that are broad and have no detail or dismiss them as Peanits suggests?
Also, once again, you are picking one of THE BEST streamers of Dead By Daylight. I don't think that's fair to the average player.

When I refer to "Statistics", often I refer to the more detailed ones we have.
Also, a blanket statement like "Killers are not in control above rank 10" is clearly not true given what we know about the game. SOME Killers may not be, but the original statement I am refuting doesn't need to be falsified for all players to be untrue in general.

Okay well that makes more sense then. It sounded like you meant the ones that yall released which is more broad than the Grand Canyon. I follow your second question up with another question then. What Skill level do yall balance too? High Skill or Low Skill? Or is it average with that too? SOME Killers might be 100% in control at high ranks, but I promise you most of the community doesn't feel they are. That's all I was saying.

Just in relation to Fungoose, if you watch his streams regularly as I do he makes it very clear that survivors are indeed and by far the power role in this game. Just because he does well with killers doesn't mean killers are strong. He makes that point very clear.
