The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Do i have any chances of getting to tier 70 of Rift if i'm currently tier 30?

I couldn't play for a few days so i know i'm behind compared to most of the playerbase. I've finished completely first 2 levels of tome and now i'm starting third, but i'm not sure if i'll get to the end of rift in time.

Its always possible and really depends on what challenges you can complete and how much you can or are willing to play per day.

lol i mean theres 41 days left and you're level 30 so basically get a level a day which is around probably 1-3 hours of gameplay if that. Not counting challenge fragments. Idk why people play it up saying it's impossible or will take you forever.

The Rift is 70 tiers total with 70 days in which to complete it. At tier 30, you're right on track. If you do all the challenges it will probably take about 2.5 hours of playtime every day to complete the Rift. If you can't do all the challenges, it will take longer.

The rift would be far easier to complete if the survivor queues weren't borked, I can play 2 - 3 killer matches in the time it takes me to do one survivor match.

I feel like the devs made the rift not anticipating this issue with queue times and subsequently anyone playing Survivor is getting much less XP while also driving more survivors over to playing killer which is also messing up queues a lot more.

Honestly, difficult. Unless you play a huge amount (like 4+ hours per day AND do challenges).

I'm tier 70 already, BUT I had a huge headstart of 30 tiers and I played a lot (6 hours and more since I have a lot of free time for myself lately) and I finished tome 1 and tome 2.

    Good luck

doing tome 3 and 4 completely gives you 16 levels, not including game time from shards so that should be at least be between 20-25 levels, which should be level 50 or 55. getting 20 more levels through game time will take 30 hours of playing imo if you have enough time to do that

Spend 24 hours each weekend to play and get everything done

    you'll probably get it !

If survivor queues are longer than killer queues then it means that more people are playing survivors than nessecary. A killer finding survivors faster than survivors finding a killer is a consequence of a higher survivors:killer ratio than 4:1.

The current issue has nothing to do with amount of players.

It's just the match making system.

Survivors queues weren't gradually getting longer, they went from instant to 10 - 15 minutes per queue when the changes were put in the makes SWF play against the highest rank they can.

If this was a "player leaving" situation you'd expect the build up to be gradual. Killer lobbies went from 5 - 10 minutes to instant, and survivor the opposite in the space of a patch.

@filip21101 I would say you don't need 24 hours on weekend and stuff said above. If you finished the first two tomes with several days off and reached tier 30, then you are on a good way. 35 is half way which you probably would have achieved without the timeout. And you got 2 weeks each for tome 1 and 2, but 3 weeks each for tome 3 and 4.

So if you managed to get 30 tiers in 4 weeks without haste, you will get 40 tiers within 6 weeks, pretty sure. Just as calculation sample from another thread that was very detailed. I'm not listing the calculation, just the result:

In total you would need 3600 XP per day by match time which would be 1 hour per day on average over the 70 days, assuming you manage to get all challenges within that time and play at least one survivor and killer match (to get the 2x300 "first match per day" XP bonus). This is not achievable as it requires 60 minutes of XP gathering, which is not possible because you don't get more XP when the match lasts longer than 10 minutes (600XP max per match, 1 XP per second) and you spend time between the matches for bloodwebs and queues. So more realistic would be 2 hours per day to count in the queues and other stuff you do.

You could also just count how many rift fragments you get by XP. 4-5 a day is enough which would be roughly 7 matches. If you got to tier 30 with timeout, I think this might be in your range. I play about 30 hours a week (4 per day on average) and got to tier 45 which is 15 rifts more than you by pure XP grinding.

Or to not update an excel sheet every day :) , just look if you get at least to tier 50 until the end of tome 3, so 7 per week. Enough maths.

Over 40 days left. Average 1 level everyday and you should be fine.
