Will dedicated servers stay forever now?

I'm curious cuz I remember this should be just a test again but it seems like dedicated servers will stay? Has anyone information to share? Or a new statement from the devs?

I hope so. It's nice not going up against lag switching killers who deny that they are cheating and act big headed because they got a "legitimate win"

I never went against that many lagswitcher. And most of the time I couldn't even tell for sure if it's on purpose, his connection just having a hiccup or my connection having a hiccup.

I personally have more issues with dedicated servers tho, hitboxes (or lets better say hitdetection) are insane now.

Yeah there is no denying that dedicated servers still need some tweaks/polishing but lag switching was a massive problem for me. it was easy to tell it was lag switching as whenever the killer got into a chase with any survivor the game would mysteriously lag and as soon as the survivor was downed the connection would go back to normal. I’m a console player and I honestly think they will. They’re suppose to release by December 21st or 23rd (I forgot what day is the last day of fall). However, yeah it looks like the devs are keeping them on so they can really see what needs to be ironed out. I think servers being live on PC is basically being used like a ptb. If they release them for everyone and it affects the game so poorly than everyone is screwed over. If only one high populated platform (not the nitendo switch) is using/testing them than a the devs will have a better understanding of the servers. Which will help the devs improve them before a worldwide multi-platform release happens
