Guess ill start playing anyways. 38 minutes past 3pm no update. Was planning on waiting so I would be able to make progress towards a challenge as the one im on now should auto finish.

I'm basically taking tasks I know are being simplified and getting those parts done. That way at least when this comes through I can get those tasks done and move on to the rest.
I know I'm progressing decently well on Tome 3 but I've basically spent my Thanksgiving time off most dedicated to playing. When else will I get this prime playing time?

Let's be fair - they didn't have to do it today. If they have it before they leave today, that will still be a big plus. I assume they are running into issues with making the changes go live.

Would be nice if we could just get a "sorry, we're running a bit late on the adjustments". Still happy about the changes but it would be nice if they were on time.

To make matters possibly worse there isn't some type of server issue right now is there? I just had a killer DC for seemingly no reason. Then the next match 2 people instantly DCed and the sole survivor was healing me and then they DCed mid heal leaving me as the last alive?

Seems like that time when they gave exact date for the Halloween event but we had to wait like a extra week. Like I said before they should stop giving exact time and dates if they can't follow it through.

Honestly it feels like this is the first time they have changed something like this on the "backend" so they might be running into problems. Honestly I'm fine with waiting another few hours if it means they iron things like this out, for smoother changes in the future. At least what they are trying should mean we won't have to download and update, which is a good feature IMO.

Yeah there's this whole big thing called "the rest of the world" who don't live in NA, so having a time zone in a post is always a good idea, especially when you're gonna run off valve time rather than a regular time zone. https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Valve_Time

No one should EVER be okay with a company continuously telling them something will happen and there be a problem every SINGLE time. How unprofessional is it to give an EXACT time and then fail to deliver? This isn't even the first time this has happened. The Archives got delayed ONE DAY before they were set to launch.
Problems arise I am extremely reasonable. But a problem nearly every single time? COME ON!

Seriously?!? The whole reason you keep dedicated servers is so you can make changes like this on the backend... and then you can’t even make the changes easily

So after 2 hours of screwing around waiting for this. They have announced its NEXT WEEK. OMG you got to be kidding me this is such BS.
So the changes will be pointless to anyone who will be playing at all. We will grind these out this week then everyone can come easily get them next week.

Funfact: When they implemented SWF, they had a patch note saying that groups are split after a match but keeping the lobby will be added in an upcoming patch. That's from patch notes 1.0.3 in July 2016

DBD is a game and it isn't like there is different companies making the EXACT same game except for poorly made ripoffs.
What happens to ANY type of company out there that does this? A company that has competition and can provide the same service? Cleaners? restaurants? Oh that right...they lose business. Because no one in their right mind would continue spending money on a company that is always giving them dates and times they end up not being able to make for said service.
Taking issue with a company letting its customers down. "grow up" LOL.
I have this INSANE suggestion to the DBD team that they actually know for a FACT they will be able to do something before they announce it.
