Gotta do something about dodging
This game is unplayable if killers don't have the fortitude to actually play the game.
Developers- limit the information killers can see. Basically show the ping only. As a survivor on PS4 there are multiple instances where I am constantly dodged. I just had to switch to killer so I could actually you know, play the game.
Also, killers. Grow up and play. Cowards.

On PCs its even funnier because when 1 killer dodge, other killers will join your lobby (because survs are waiting for killer on server) and when next killer will join he will see 4 survs ready up and because of mindset killermains in dbd he will be thinking "this must be swf" so he will use most broken sh.. vs soloQ survs or dodge 4 soloQ survs because in his brain it will be swf

I think it's because some people do not want to go against 4 toolboxes , or keys . beats me tho

Exactly. The developers need to make changes to certain add-ons to appease the killers and hide information from killers.

Lets make so DCing AND lobby dodging(below certain ping) gives you timeouts for some time
and take off possibility from killer to check survivors profiles(and seeing their names) that only encourage them to dodge

I waited 10 minutes just to get lobby dodged, I just gave up and played f13, I agree that there should be a penalty to dodging but let's not limit the killer to see what survivors are bringing.

Is it hurting anyone to dodge? A lot of Killers just want to have a casual game, not a tryhard mess.
Personally, I don't usually dodge. If I see four toolboxes, I'll bring Franklin's and some good add-ons, maybe a Ivory Mori.

Because the killer needs to have fun aswell Is not fun going against a sweaty swf With 3 toolboxes and a key... So u are Gonna get dodged everytime if u are Gonna try to be an #########. Hiding info to the killer Is stupid the game Is already way to Survivor sided to actually Make it Even more than it Is.

The harm would be people migrating to other games. For a healthy player base, it would probably make sense for players to actually find matches.

Tru3 has a vid somewhere showing how broken toolboxes are.. a single commodious toolbox with socket and prove thy self got a gen from 0-100 in 25 seconds and it has enough charge to do 3 gens like that...

I am sorry that I enjoy playing this game. If I could give a way for Survivors to opt out of Mori's, I would. However, I am NOT going to sit and get meme'd on and BM'd after the match.

If you're hitting 30 minutes, you're obviously geared up in a way you KNOW is going to make people miserable. Why do you expect people to want to play with you?

I made a complaint about that before but people said it was unfair. I don't think it's unfair. Killers get to prep and see what survivors are bringing to the match. It's always a mystery for survivors when we have to blindly prep because we don't know who the killer is.

"a lot of killers want to have casual game" so do I, this night its my 5th spirit(in 3hours btw) with ebony mori (and at most i played with 1 friend) i want casual que so i dont have to play vs sweaty derps (today i played only as surv, but i play both roles equally and keep myself on rank 8 just to not play as much vs self proclaimed "competitive" gamers (on both sides)

People play Spirit as a result of people running toolboxes, who run toolboxes because of Spirit. It's a vicious cycle.

@Pulsar in 2 of those games there were no items, no 3/4 men swf, those spirits wanted to show their small E-pen
thats why i would love to see casual que to dodge those BS (que with green,purple,red stuff blocked) and only way around that is running plunders on surv (yup i talking about blocking droping keys unless surv has plunders)

You make it sound like us killers don't have to wait for ten minutes ourselves. I don't want to wait ten minutes, only to pop into a lobby with three toolboxes and a key. You might think it's fun to gen rush a five minute match and teabag out the exit, but I don't. Is it too much to ask for survivors to suck it up and leave your toys at home so we can have a decent ten minute match?

Then you must be in an alternate universe. Seven minutes is my normal wait. I can't play at peak hours. Between 10 pm to midnight is my only window except weekends, so it takes me awhile to get into a match. And it sucks when the lobby finally does pop, only to see a sweaty looking comp.

I play plenty of killer. Outside of early mornings or when the servers are messed up, there is zero wait time for killer matches.

Until they deal with SWF, I don't think dodging should be punished. People legit can make what would normally be a 4 perks v 4 perks situation, into dealing with fully communicated use of 16 perks. It can be stressful to deal with without tryharding with headphones and being ultra focused, it's not very nice lol.

Totally off topic here but do people still play that game? I bought it about a year ago and didn't like it but since playing dbd I've been itching to try it out again. I'm aware of all the issues with it not being updated and all that.

To be fair, you can force-quit dbd while loading in. It doesn't destroy the Mori, but it's likely you won't be the one to deal with it in their next lobby lol

As a killer main I dodge occasionally because a 4 swf with toolboxes is quite annoying. I play a lot of survivor aswell and It’s boring either side, bringing all toolboxes cause the match goes so fast, or having all toolboxes against you and have it over in a few minutes. If they’re lobby dodging cause toolboxes I could see, but medkits flashlights key builds or nothing really isn’t that bad. If I’m getting to many swfs that escape easily I just play survivor

I don't dodge. I just bring a mori if it's a team full of flashlights and toolboxes.

I will always dodge a group that I believe is an SWF. They have an unfair advantage that breaks the game for killers, no killer should be forced to play with them. Blame the devs, and ask them to balance around swf (i know easier said than done).

The reason why you're allowed to see what they survive or has it so you could somewhat adept your build around it.
Four flashlights you might run lightborn or Franklin's demise same thing if you notice a bunch of medkits or various items.
As a killer lightborn is so meh and situational literally there's not much point in running it as a general part of your perk build. Hell I wouldn't equip the Perk unless I actively know that there is more than 2 people with flashlights

I think lobby dodging is necessary for game balance. Going against team with 3-4 toolboxes is literally almost unwinnable if survivors know how to hold m1

Killers shouldn't be able to see names/steam profiles. There should be indication that there's a SWF in the lobby and that's about it.

I never thought it was fair that Killers could see items and survivors couldn't see what killer was in play. It might be because of dedicated servers, if killers can dodge now they won't DC later in a match. But if that's the case then survivors should get the opertunity to know what killer they're going up against before a match starts. People don't like going up against 4 toolboxes which es understandable, but people also don't like going up against spirit.

People complain about every killer no matter how weak some people make them out to be. I've seen people calling Plague strong so it wont be "lets dodge this spirit" it will be "Lets dodge every killer unless it's a LF or Clown". Killers will practically get no games whatsoever unless they are playing one of the weakest killers in the game, this wont be a good idea.
It was always intended for killers to see the survivors because it gives them the opportunity to edit their build slightly before the match.

Well my main point in that reply was just stating that if you make it so survivors can see the killer they are going up against they will all dodge it unless it's one of the weakest killers in the game. People don't just complain about Spirit they complain about ALL killers so killers will practically never get a match.

I’m a killer main, I’ve never dodged a swf group. If you want to get better at the game you’re going to have to take a few beatings. Dodging teams and going for easy matches isn’t going to help you improve your gameplay. Survivors need to understand its frustrating for killers when you get slapped in the face with a well coordinated team, be patient with the baby killers. Killers come on, we’re Killer get in there and do you’re best at fulfilling the role, you can only get better, it’s okay to lose so long as you learn from it.

If your all wearing the same outfit, have multiple medkits or toolboxes, keys and maps, 1 person with bad ping, that smart person who wears only the p3 head piece cuz killers can't see it ofc, ETC.
Killers want to play the game too why would they choose to sweat every game to amuse a bunch of toxic SWF groups?
Dont worry after the holidays the children go back to school. So a lot of the toxicness and try hards will be in class.

You're basically asking the Devs to dick over killer mains by forcing them to play against try hard survivors with toolboxes, just to appease your desire to overwhelm killers in this game.

I'm all for removing dodging, but only after they actually balance their game properly which is why dodging is happening in the first place.
