Whats going on with the servers? Its been close to 24 hrs

Since DBD is free this month, a lot of new people are playing it and now the servers are overloaded because they’ve never had this many people playing before.
When you log on, keep pressing start on the loading screen and you’ll eventually get in, it worked for me.1 -

The devs are addressing the issue right now. The servers will be shut down for 30 minutes while they're fixing the issue. I suggest you don't try to play right now.

Hamster stopped running on the wheel, training a replacement now to get the servers back up.

BHVR has their own concept of time. How do you think they came up with the Lore of the Entity's realm out of time. The "coming weeks" is my favorite, that is when you know ######### isn't coming for a bit.

What do you mean? coming weeks is a perfect unit of measurement, it's not now, but it's sometime
