Matchmaking is 100% perfect. Stop Complaining.
So im rank 5 right now and all my teammates were all purple rank too.
The killer? Rank 16. Got like 1 hook the entire game, but only because of NoED. Then the NoED gets cleansed immediately. Then I did the hook trick on the spirit and the spirit triggers my borrowed time.
Then i proceed to be toxic with my flashlight at the exit gates because well.... we gotta get chaser points somehow >_>
Also everyone else was toxic too. Im sorry to that spirit... Also she DCed because the last person kept 360ing her and refused to leave.
I feel really bad for this spirit.
Behavior right now:

I feel like BHVR should put people with the same rank in the same games, except for SWF where it takes the average from everyone. It becomes annoying when I try to play SWF with rank 3 and rank 12, where I get into a game with a rank 18 and 20. They really should fix stuff like that.

I'm guessing they were waiting for a match for a long time. Not really bhvr's fault that there's not a lot of new players. But of course you could argue that's entirely their fault.

It is indeed fine Survivors are bad anyways plus rank does not matter nor ever will when its rank = time played not skill.

I was playing on my alt to practice with my Nurse.
I'm a rank 18 on that profile.
I went against a rank 4.

Sitting in a lobby for 20 minutes.
Me(a rank 1): "well at least I'll get a near perfect matchmaking!"
Behaviour: "well yes,but actually no"
*gets pulled in to a red ping lobby with a rank 13 and a rank 8*
Fun.

They could remove ranking and match making trying to do anything and tbh I doubt much would change in the game.
Like you already face red ranks at every rank anyways all this does is make it slightly less often. Even if someone IS your rank, it's not like they were not red rank 50 times before that, this is just their new time raising it up again.
So like, what every other player who isn't that has to deal with it.
The only game that had worst matchmaker is Evolve and that game died cause' no one wanted to play it; and the #1 reason they gave is they felt it was unfair; and it was- it would put a 2000 hour monster player against a team that was playing their first game.
After they got curb-stomped like 10 matches in a row they would just uninstall it so the player base dropped, new players stopped coming in.
This game somehow net gains just enough to keep growing at a snails pace usually, but I don't think it will last when the game gets older without serious changes.

Being in a lobby for longer actually makes it less likely that you'll get a good match, because the longer you stay in queue, the wider the system opens the search rank-wise in order to ensure that you get a game.
