Why does every killer run ruin? I promise it's not mandatory in high ranks. Some of these killers just don't know how to apply pressure. I'm sure none of you will agree with me since 99% of this forum are killer mains, but it's whatever. Keep your precious crutch perk.

I don't run it cause Hex perks suck. That and I couldn't care less about generators til the last 3. And even then I don't really care. I'm not a Bloodpoint ######### so 🤷🏾♂️.

I don't have any slowdown perks on oni right now and survivors have at least 3 gens by the time I down one person.
That is why people run ruin; the game is VERY fast, especially with coordinated groups, that makes slow down perks the strongest perk for a lot of killers a lot of the time.
Killers don't want to run it because it annoys you, they just need some time to actually be able to play the game they had to wait a match's duration in queue times to get into.

Firstly, ruin saves killers at most if it's ignored in red ranks, 30 seconds, makes the difference for killers, as for pressure, ok then, great meme, most games you can't apply pressure otherwise that actually makes games harder minus the doctor, he actually can, then you have stealth killers, they won't ever be able to go that

the real question is why ruin is still bothering people after all this time. coordinated survivors who know the numbers games of dead by daylight will blow you the ######### out if you dont have that ~30 seconds of setup time ruin grants you.

Because Ruin/Corrupt is a perk that IS required on killers like Bubba and Wraith because they have literally 0 pressure on gens.
Also, talking about "crutch perk" when it can literally be broken in 10 seconds is incredibly unfair. When survivors have things like Adrenalin, Dead hard, DS, Unbreakable, Deliverance, Sprint Burst, Lithe, etc. that can't be destroyed for the entire map, calling Ruin a crutch is simply false.

A 2k is easy no matter what if that's all you want. Facecamp 1 person for 5 gens, NOED down another. That's why a 2k doesn't mean much at any rank.

Bruh I can't even play a damn game without gen affecting perks without it being (timed it) a total of 2 minutes and 45 seconds, how can any killer put pressure on that? And you ask why ruin? That was without ruin, 2:45 stopped typing to do a quick SFW 2:38 both red and this killer HAD ruin, gens are too quick, and after a full actual try just now, it can be done in 2:38, 3 gens in 80 seconds (1:20) another in 40 (2:00) the last quickly after as it was being worked on by previous person in chase and continued that hit 10 seconds after 4th (2:10) near gate and that opened in 16 (2:26) we all got out with only 1 hit between us which was friend in chase on the way (2:38 cause they were a fair distance) this game is a gen repair simulator with killers as a mild inconvenience, after actually timing that though, I've uninstalled cause that depressed me about the game, I joked about 4 minutes as an exaggeration, turns out no, that is literally an understatement, that was all without toolboxes on first 3, and used on the last 2, but we had prove thyself, green toolbox, imagine if we used it all from the start, we had just under half left over, hope not too many use that, but now my survivor games are useless as we can all make chases last at least 4 minutes easy (so many loops to get you to the shack loop) so yeah, GG everyone, survivors win if they have friends, and R.I.P dbd if people learn how to work SFW out and lobby jump them every time, that's a huge part gone

This. I don't use Ruin often, but the times I do, it's because I don't want to blink and hear the exit just got activated. I'm not too fussed on the BP earnings for all the chases, downs, hooks, etc, but I'd like my game to at least last longer than 30 seconds. I like survivors who put up a challenge, not rush for the speed run world record.

i'll give you a scenario. You as legion has discordance on but with no ruin, and you see 2 gens are highlighted at the beginning of the game, and they are each at the end of 2 sides of the map.
In this case, how do you "apply more pressure" to prevent gens being done?
(This was my real experience btw, and the game ended under 10 mins)

Honestly, ruin is only a bandaid fix for a problem lurking under. I am able to rush nearly every killer on r1 survivor solo queue.

A 2k is what the Devs go for. It's the average. 2 live, and 2 die. If I can always get a minimum of 2k a game, then I'm doing exactly as intended.

I don't even use ruin until purple ranks. But I have been playing survivor to learn that side and enjoy playing with friends. And I see rank 16 killers running ruin, bbq and pink add ons. Why at 16?
