Tunneling/Camping Advice Thread
Looking for advice so please come with understanding and not the ignorant "Git Gud" responses, they will be ignored. Asking for actual input, perks, plays, from both sides of the table as Survivor. When I say both sides I mean the person being tunneled/camped and the perspective of being a teammate of someone in that situation.
Thanks Community,
XOXO

Step 1: Work on a generator. This can be accomplished by approaching one and holding M1. Watch out for skillchecks!
Step 2: Run kindred. There's especially no excuse now that's its been buffed to help YOU and not just your teammates.
Step 3: Leave when the gates are powered.
Step 4: ??????
Step 5: Profit.
In all seriousness though, the only reason campers and tunnelers get kills is because survivors feed them. If they're wasting their time on one person (camping OR tunneling) every other person should be on a gen, and the end result should be a measly 1k. Too many times I see camping killers that should've lost the match end up with three or four kills because survivors have this "no man left behind complex." Cut your losses and leave, and don't be mad at your teammates when they decide not to feed a bad killer points and kills.

Kindred huh? Never ever considered that perk. I always ran borrowed time but I'll definitely look into this. And yeah, I try not to feed a camping Killer, but if I see someone getting tunneled I'll try to take the attention off of them but of course thats a 50/50. If I'm the one being camped/tunneled idk what to do to avoid being the Killers little b-word. I hate D-Strike because I miss it, even when I don't miss it.

I think thats my weakness is not being good at hitting D-Strike and only being good at looping on certain maps v.v BUT positive news is I just bought Adam today along with Yui so I can try his deliverance perk. I will definitely take your advice into my gameplay 💜

This should help, if you can watch it.

Thank you ^_^ 💜 I will watch it now.

If you're being camped/tunneled, do whatever it takes to waste the killer's time: run decisive strike, abuse powerful loops, and struggle on hook for as long as possible.
If someone else is being tunneled/camped, do gens so their eventual death isn't in vain. 3 survivors working on separate gens can do 3 before the seconds phase of the sacrifice starts, and 2 more can be done by the time they die on hook.

@Unicorn Just to add a little more to one of Pain Reliever's points. Flashlights are a great tool to lose the killer during a chase. The key is to drop a pallet on a killer or a little early if you are a bit skittish. Then blind the killer during the break animation. Just remember that while blinding a killer disrupts their visuals/sight , it doesn't disrupt their sound/hearing.

For perks I like BT & Kindred which I find very helpful in general for a mainly solo survivor and sometimes SWF (I play with 1 person with no mic).
BT - for obvious reasons.
Kindred - it just helps the team to coordinate and know if the killer's close. I don't think I've ever been left to die on the hook with this perk.
Iron Will - this is also good for stealth as some survivors are much louder than others. I'm looking at you Jeff and Jane!! I've managed to lose killers mid chase with this perk.
Recent scenario against a tunnelling killer:
I was playing on Hawkins Lab against a Clown. He wasn't even particularly difficult to play against but he is one of the tunneliest tunnelers to ever tunnel, my god man, he wouldn't stop chasing his target. The most tunnel vision killer I've ever faced. He kept chasing this injured survivor and I tried to help, I body blocked, threw pallets in his face and took hits but he refused to stop chasing this Jake.
And this was my BIGGEST MISTAKE. I should have been focusing on gens and because I spent so much time trying to 'help' I think I ended up majorly F-ing up the teams chance at getting out. Half the team was dead with 2 gens left, and both me and my friend were injured with no way of healing ourselves. If I had just gen rushed we more than likely could have escaped. I will not be making that mistake again!
Usually I just try to be sneaky and hope I'm not found first! But if you're getting tunneled, best advice is to just run the killer around pallets for as long as possible. Use all the pallets if you have to, as long as it keeps the killer away from the rest of the team.

Firstly, try to avoid being the first person to get chased/hooked. If the killer truly is planning to tunnel from the start, that's the player most likely to be on the recieving end. Work on a less critical generator, hide if you hear the killer instead of starting a chase, that sort of thing. Sometimes you just get found first no matter what, but a lot of the time you can work to avoid it.
If you're being tunneled and want tools to help you, the obvious choice is stuff like Decisive + Unbreakable. Don't care about people crying about crutch perks, it's a strong combo that exists to be used. This approach makes you as "expensive" as possible to tunnel to death time-wise which buys the other survivors time.
While it can be tricky the best way to stop tunneling in its tracks is to lose the killer. Even just Iron Will alone can make this a lot more achievable. It's risky of course, and don't just crouch in a corner where the only outcomes are "lose the killer" and "go down", have an escape route in mind if the killer gets back on you if possible, even if you don't lose them this can buy you valuable distance and time if you pull it off.
If someone else is being hardcore tunneled honestly just work on gens. Same concept as someone being hard camped, sucks for them but a lot of the time the best you can do is attempt to get gens done. You can try to do stuff like bodyblock, flashlight save and so on if you want and the killer + "victim" happens to be near you during their chase, but don't chase them around the map, but even then I'd probably just stay on a gen.

I love flashlights, maybe I need to keep using them more. They do help alot.

Thank you so much for this 💜

I keep hearing DS and I honestly suck so bad at it v.v Idk if its because of the anticipation of trying to get away or because I just suck at hitting great skill checks. Can you give me insight on how to try and hit your DS everytime?

@Unicorn I find that when it comes to skillchecks the thing to remember is that you should attempt to press the button slightly earlier than the prompt. This is because it takes time for you to press the button and for the game to recognize it.
If you want to practice, try this website some Twitch fan made: http://mistersyms.com/tools/gitgud/index

Yes! This a thousand times. It seems like 90% of survivors have a hero complex and just can't help themselves but to try to help someone being camped or tunneled. It is a completely shortsighted strategy that results in nothing but a guaranteed loss for them.
Offering yourself as an easy sacrifice because you just have to be the hero only ends up with both of you being easy prey. You not only haven't actually helped the person being camped/tunneled, but you have hurt yourself for nothing. You actually have a better chance of helping a survivor being camped/tunneled if the killer sees gens being popped all over the place. You force the killer to make a choice between continuing to tunnel/camp and getting very few points for it or changing their strategy to try to get more kills.
