TIME to take a break...
After over 1200 hours in the game and being around since the early days of dbd...I have seen the patch and all kinds of bugs and errors everywhere...
With how scrambled this game is after all this time, I have finally decided to say “dude, I’m done with that”. I absolutely love the game but jeez there are game breaking bugs that shouldn’t even exist past a PTB that we see in a live game. Server rubber banding? Okay, I guess. Alt+F4 to avoid dc penalty? Expected. BASEMENT BUG FROM PTB? No way, shouldn’t be a thing. Guys, there’s plenty of demand for less content and more fixes. While trying to keep the game alive, they are destroying it at the same time. We seriously need to focus on getting them to sit down and fix their game, instead of just poking at it through occasional forum posts. We need to make it clear that we need to make this game STABLE, like it should be.

Straightening out the game is of upmost importance. I’ll be taking a break as well because I’m sick of being a test subject. None of us should endure going through what many are experiencing right now. I haven’t really played a match, because I’m afraid to lose my sanity over something that should’ve been tested before being released to the general public.

Since the update, I’ve seen everyone rubber banding in game breaking ways. I personally have been lucky enough to not be basement hooked, but the fact that they let that into the live version of the game is unbelievable, even for DbD.

I feel like it might be less to do with their efforts on fixing bugs and more with the shackled engine they're using. We know there is bound to be lots of spaghetti code and at this point legacy code they are using. If they just start a fresh version from the ground up with all they know now and have planned maybe it would be less buggy, and worth the wait.

I’ve dreamed about that, but that would almost be like BHVR making a DbD 2, which is never going to happen.

Yes i feel the same. I want to play the new killer but the game right now is unbearable. Constant bugs, DCing, i got genrushed while trying oni from 3 rank to 5. I dont have ruin and gens done in like 5 minutes so everygame im in an endgame standing near the hook trying to secure 1 kill. I forced to play new map almost 10 games in a row. Because seems like when you play oni you have a 99% to get there. The map what i hate because on top of usual genrushing i cant find anyone. And as soon as i found someone they disappear in grass what covers their scratchmarks. I get infinite loading screens that forcing me to restart the game over and over and over and over again. This is just a very ######### experience.

I wish they would though. They could even go the extra step and make killers more unique through power augmentations instead of addons (think paladins cards, OW2 PvE, etc...), or so much more they could do. I'm sure we can all list like a million ideas we'd love to see, there is no shortage of content or creativity for DbD2 just money, time, and will.

Every game as survivor had killers running basement builds to take advantage of the exploit.
Not a problem. I have one killer challenge left to get so I swap over to get it done.
First game? I get trapped inside the first gen I kick. Unable to move. A survivor completed the gen I was stuck in and it didn't help. I watched 5 gens completed while stuck there...
Game is broken from both ends.

Im on xbox and aside from a few fps drops, which is standard at this point, I've not had any major bugs. Havent hooked or been hooked in basement though so can't comment on that.
New map seems huge to me, but only saw it once as survivor.

The problems on PS4 are numerous and nothing has been done about them for months. At this point the game is still playable for me. Although the fact that PS4 specific issues seem to be ignored leads me to believe there will be a time where the game becomes unplayable for me.

It is actually extremely comical when you think about it. I actually look forward to all the goofy bugs that each update brings. It absolutely blows my mind how they do it. It's like "hey lets do an update and fix issue x" then that fix magically breaks something completely unrelated lmao.
The best is bringing out a new chapter. Having a major bug where the killer gets stuck on a generator after kicking it, then promptly start trialing your DC penalty the next day so any stuck killer just has to sit there enjoying the scenery for the remainder of the match. Brilliant 😂

I knew it was time to take a break when the devs started making sure only killers are allowed to enjoy the game. Punishing survivors for leaving a game when the killer is slugging them and they are forced to not be allowed to play. Yah really interesting strategy. I love one sided games. Not. It's a shame that they're more worried about dcing than anything. And yes it affects the whole game not just the killer but maybe deal with the reason for the dcing before actually trying to punish people for it. Anyways guys last year comes out in 5 days I'll be there if anyone wants to play

I stopped spending money on DBD because I hate the glitch that inverts your camera controls mid match. It makes the game impossible to play. I've never seen them aknowledge this is a problem they're working on though.

I've had my mouse controls invert several times and they acknowleded it but didn't do anything beacuse it's not always one thing or the other. my invert control is no were near my other controls. but i still play because it's a challenge and I will over come it.

Stability is a big problem for me. I'm on PS4 and I have huge fps drops whenever there's an update IN ADDITION to just regular DBD fps drops. Instead of making my whole game stutter, how about telling me that the game has an update and that I need to restart it? Turning off or restarting a game because you've been playing too long is like PS1 game problems. They need to get their stuff together.

I know what they're talking about, I've had it before where the controls were inverted and I even checked the settings. Only lasts for a few seconds for me though

Yikes, another whinny Survivor main (unsurprising) No ones complaining my guy. I guess I should DC because there's 4 toolboxes, skeleton keys, maps, etc because it's unfun and "rUiNs" the game? Your double standards are showing as well as your blatant ignorance. Getting red ranks and maintaining it on both sides shows experience and skill (not including swf), especially with Killer. I can tell you only play Survivor and you're the type to go "gG eZ". Get out of here, we already have a clown in the game.
