Ok... I had the challenge to escape using hope. Me, a rank 3, gets to play with a rank 3, 17 and 20. Is matchmaking broken again is that a 3 men SWF? I can't give myself the pleassure of dodging cause I don't wanna wait another 10-15 mins...
I loop the killer (GF) for 3 gens, he looses me, he hooks a guy, we open the gates, damn, I think "I can get my challenge done, should I be egocentric? No, I'm a team player, if something happens, we're a team", I go for the unhook, the kiler hits me, no NOED, I unhook the guy with BT, the killer hits me again and hooks me... The two other guys heal the unhooked...
Wanna guess what happened then...?

I would just left LOL. But only because of the challenge. I've done that sort of thing before if I found like a purple flashlight or key that I wanted to keep. Sorry guy on the hook.

I broke an Oni's ankles all match as a purple rank 5. I saved the red rank and got downed by the Oni while the red rank i saved and his red rank teammate left and i died on my first hook and still out scored both who escaped.
Scrub teammates come in all colors and ranks.

Yep. I'm only around a level 12 or 13 survivor. Just played a match earlier today where I unhooked all 3 other survivors at least once. One of them I unhooked twice. They didn't seem at all interested in unhooking anyone themselves. I healed them all after unhooking them. Sometimes someone else helped with the healing if they were near. Sometimes they didn't even then.
One of them unhooked me once, but he was literally right around the corner when the killer hooked me so it was just easy points for him.
I finished the last gen by myself. The killer downed me on my way to the door. None of the 3 other survivors even bothered to come back and try to help me. It wasn't like the killer was just standing there using me as bait either. One of them opened a door and they all 3 left. I noticed after the match they were all level 8 or below.
It made me wonder if the way to reach those single digit levels is to play completely selfishly.

I’ve had SWF deliberately sandbag me to escape before. The killer was giving them the business in post game chat. I maxed altruism and boldness that game.

As a solo survivor, my priority is in that order:
Trophy>Archive>Ritual>Team
Always.

I get so bored of joining swf's who just meme the whole time or are just completely incompetent due to for some odd reason most red rank swf's I run into play with their rank 13 and 20 friends...

I only play with purple or red on SWF, that's a rule for me, I believe it's a D move to get my low rank friends to play against a high rank killer just to play with them which ends up in a 3-4k

Take comfort in the fact that you helped someone escape. You were a true team player, even if you weren't part of their friend group (on the assumption they had one). You risked your escape and your challenge to see someone you didn't even know escape. Would that all solo teammates were like you.

Yea once I hit red ranks I couldn't play with my green rank friends anymore or else we would all die horribly

It doesn't work like that anymore, and I feel like that's why people are still doing it, yet it's a lower rank it's mostly only 3 ranks lower of a killer you get with. You, your team, and friend are at a disadvantage If you bring a yellow rank or white rank with you.

I actually read here on forums a post by the Devs that said killers gets picked 6 levels below and above the highest rank of the party (meaning highest as better, not as 20>1)

If survivors were more in the mindset of escaping over risky saves at end game, I feel the survival rate would increase substantially.
