This will get a DC from me every time
The match had just started. I spawned in a big area surrounded by 3 walls. Before I had the chance to get out of the area I heard the killer coming. I hid in a locker. Another survivor hid in the locker next to me. As the killer came to the area where we were hiding the other survivor jumps out of the locker and points at the one where I am hiding.
The killer walked right by this survivor and didn't even bother to take a swing at them. He then opened the locker where I was and pulled me out and walked away. The other survivor followed. As soon as I was hooked the same survivor walked up and unhooked me. Once again the killer didn't even bother to take a swing at them, but hit me immediately.
Yes, I DC'd, and for the record I will DC EVERY SINGLE TIME this happens.
The killer sends me an angry message about being a sore loser and breaking the rules. The same killer that can only keep from being a loser by breaking the rules and working with a survivor sent me a message about those things.

Just so you know, the devs have stated that admitting on the forums to doing bannable offenses can get you banned. Idk how strict that is in regards to DC'ing but it's been said.
Also, that is no reason to DC. You made misplays and could have even run DS to counter that.

I think the survivor may have been working with the killer shoulda recorded it and then reported instead of dcing.

Selling out your teammates isn't reportable. Jerk move, but not reportable unless it is premeditated.

There are many reasons to disconnect, when the game is not even balanced, there are many toxic players, sometimes the server itself disconnects you, when the killer just wants to be trolling, now they want to force us to finish a game no matter what, but I will continue disconnecting if they are toxic to me, I don't mind the punishment, after all I will only be one of the angry clients, oh and by the way the mods will give you a warning for "incite to disconnect", lmao this is rlly funny

Don't DC. It is against the rules. Once in a while is fine, life happens. DC'ing out of rage is childish.

What misplay did I make? And "could have run DS to counter that"? Where do you propose I learn fortune telling so I know ahead of time that I will be running into a killer working with a survivor and I will need to run DS to counter cheaters?

You're claiming the OP "made misplays"?
There was no misplay in what the OP describes. Hiding in a locker is a valid tactic. Everything else described was done by other people, and you can't fault someone for not bringing a perk they may not even have.

DS is a must run perk for how good it is. You should have recorded what happened, then BHVR could have checked the chat logs to see if they had planned on working together. The Killer might've wanted to farm. You didn't wait and see.

Depends on the circumstances. If the Killer starts to leave and then the jerk Survivor decides to just unhook right there anyways, not much you can do about that. If the Killer and jerk Survivor are right there aware of each other as this is happening, you could definitely make a case that they have decided at that moment to work together to dunk on the other person.

That isn't DC'ing out of rage. I rarely get angry. It was DCing on principle. I will not let a killer and a survivor benefit from cheating. It was obvious they were just going to hang me again and get their points. If they are going to cheat I have no problem DCing.

The survivor will receive a ban if you report them after the game. This has happened to 2 of the biggest DBD streamers in the past on separate occasions (I won't mention names). They were working with the killer to farm their teammate by unhooking, downing, and rehooking them until their teammate died. I believe in both instances their account received a 1 week ban.
I'd recommend not disconnecting if you are the person getting farmed in one of these situations, as it could make your report less meaningful if they see that you DC'd.

Yes, he did. The killer doesn't come to a random corner and start checking lockers for no reason. One of them either loud jumped into a locker or left scratch marks. If either was him, misplay. If he saw the other survivor do either of those, his misplay was then jumping into a locker as well because she should know the killer will see scratch marks or have heard the jump.
Choosing not to act differently when another survivor makes a mistake is a misplay because it is not adapting to the situation.

I am not faulting him for not bringing a perk. I am faulting him for his misplay and choosing to DC instead of adapting next time. Telling him he can run DS for a tunnel situation was simply a recommendation for a situation he finds annoying.

DS is a perk that almost guarantees you will be tunneled after you use it. And the chances the killer was farming are slim. The killer would have been trying to get points by hitting the other survivor and hanging them too, but they weren't.

I hate to say it, but DS is practically necessary to have nowadays. The type of players you ran into are not the only of their kind, and DS is the best tool to combat them unfortunately.
Btw your misplay was getting into the locker. It's generally a bad idea to do so at the start of the match, especially when healthy. I'm not blaming you though, I've done it myself.

The killer wasn't "checking lockers for no reason". They werent checking lockers at all. When other other survivor saw the killer, THEN they jumped out of the locker and started pointing.

I think he did say that is what happened if you had read. He legit said the survivor pointed at the locker he was in.

Farming your teammate, without giving them the choice to not participate*
As in, as soon as they get hooked, you unhook them, the killer downs them and rehooks them, until they die. Both instances I mentioned of streamers getting banned because of this was near the start of the game were the teammate had under 3k points.

Yes, dcing isn’t the nicest solution. But why should he play the rules others make for him instead of just playing the game? For me that’s a solid reason to quit.
Also that “maybe he wants to farm”. Maybe some people just want to play the game and others force them to do the stuff they want them to. There is some reasons for dcing whether you want to believe it or not.

You can call it a misplay if you like, but the point is the killer had passed by 2 other lockers and hadn't checked them. He had nearly passed the lockers where we were. Chances are very high the killer would have walked by had this other survivor not jumped out.

If smth like that happens for me when i'm playing killer i straight up go after the #########. I can't tolerate survivors like that, and in fact, I will tunnel the living nightmare out of those players. I hate it when it happens to me as a surv thus the reason why as a killer i'm not killing the nice guy.

Perhaps. I don't use it. Doesn't fit with my play style. I never complain that I don't have it in those situations where it would have come in handy. I have a limited number of perk slots. I use the ones that I have found to be of most benefit to me. If this post had been about how upset I am that people tunnel legitimately then suggesting DS is perfectly reasonable. On the other hand to actually suggest I should have to run a perk to counter cheating? Come on.

I still don't think it is cheating. If the Killer and Survivor had messaged each other before the game, I would 100% agree. But this, this just seems like a jerk move from his part.

Well true story,
i played bubba, survivor was unhooked in the basement. I come down with reving saw, a meg is pointing at a locker, i down her, put her on hook and open that locker and i pull a claudette out. In endgame i said sry i thought you lied 😂

If Killer and Survivor are clearly within each other's vicinity such that there's no way they are not aware of each other and then the events as OP has described it occurs, I would call that working together, which is a reportable offense.

Honestly thought this would be complaining about some killer or killer perk but DCing in this case is perfectly justified. If your own team is obviously working with the killer, there is no reason to play the game. If their entire goal is to destroy your game, then why bother playing the rest of it and reward them? Although I can't speak from experience as I've never had a game like this.
The only issue that I can see is that the rest of the team may have been normal players, and only that one guy was sandbagging you. Honestly, you shouldn't DC in any situation other than being forced to leave your computer/or/console unexpectedly, but I'm not going to rebuke you for this.

I understand how you can interpret it that way. In my opinion it is still cheating whether it was pre-planned or not. For me the point is simply that I refuse to allow a survivor and a killer to team up in a way that prevents me from even truly participating in a match while profiting at my expense. I do not think I have any obligation to remain in the match at that point. The only thing I do by staying is give them points for abusing the system whether you think it's cheating or not, and I simply won't allow them to do it.
