Has The "Killer VS Survivor Mindset" Ruined Discussions On Here?

I'd always enjoy going on the forums to see everyone's advices and thoughts on dbd in general but lately (It might just be me) I've been noticing more and more that whenever a discussion of balance comes into play it dissolves into a dumpster fire of "killer vs survivor entitlement".

As of recent we had some threads talking about specific mechanics of dbd (DS changes or Mori's being reworked/removed) but then quickly the "wellwhataboutthis" comment comes out of the wood work which then draws in huge amounts of negative responses from the other side which usually leads to each side insulting each other thus derailing the original topic.

Suprisngly to some I hate this as it 1. Just makes both sides look bad and 2. The original topic goes out the window in favor of this killer vs survivor non argument, just from this has actively made me less wanting to comment or even check the forums for fear of the never ending cycle happening again and again.

How do you guy's and gal's deal with it on here if you even see it as an issue just unique to the forums? Or more to the point is their a way to reduce the amount of extreme negative feedback to let in more meaningful discussions?

The killer main vs survivor main mentality only comes from the people that only play one side so they aren't able to understand where the other side is coming from. There's nothing you can really do about that besides telling them they need to play both sides to understand but obviously that doesn't work because it's impossible they could be wrong about something.

That is quiet true, and is also true I'm asking too much of everyone getting along but maybe more of a common ground is what I'd hope we can aim for.
