Calm Spirit Rework (Redo)
Calm Spirit:
Animals seem to trust you as they stay calm in your presence.
You do not disturb woodland creatures.
Whenever a crow is disturbed within a radius of 40 meters, the aura of whoever disturbed it will be revealed to you for 3/4/5 seconds. Doing so will trigger its cooldown.
Calm Spirit has a cooldown of 40/35/30 seconds.
Authors Note: I figured that it needed some love and I decided to improve upon my old design. Maybe the no screaming effect should go to Iron Will as it just makes more sense. Please leave thoughts.

That sounds really good and it has a long cool down so it wont be revealing the killer24/7
great idea

Idk if this changes your opinion but it also reveals survivors too, so it may proc more often.

That sounds really nice but I hope it keeps it's anti scream part. I like to use CS sometimes mainly because of the lack of screaming.

Like I mentioned I think that effect should go to iron will cause it just makes more sense ya feel?

Yeah I know but the bigger benefit of it is the killer aura
maybe if it had a shorter cool down for survivors it would be much better for revealing survivors but the most powerful part about it is the killer’s aura imo

Well it could but IW is kinda really strong and doesn't need aditional effects. I wouldn't mind since I run them together anyway.

Fair point

Thats a good idea

To me its just a bit too underwhelming. It does need some love but then again youre not entirely wrong.

That's pretty good. The issue with Calm Spirit is it has no tangible effects against killers who don't make you scream. It's so difficult to use crows to track already so it's barely an effect.

I agree, I really enjoy seeing perks like kindred and nolb changed and reworked to be more useful, although I play more survivor than killer but killer perk changes are really fun too. I just love the perks in this game.

Ehh, I think Calm Spirit serves it's purpose. There are several perks and addons that make you scream, and CS let's you ignore crows entirely, which can alert most killers even without SFTS.
Saboteur needs the buff/rework more. Saboing in general is too time consuming and often doesn't pay off.

Maybe I’ll think of a rework for saboteur. I think the no scream thing should go to Iron Will cause why would a crow perk have a no screaming effect? And just the crow effect by itself is very underwhelming to use a perk slot on.

Calm spirit is fine how it is. Also you want iron will to have zero pain noises zero screams and zero crows set off? Its already one of the best stealth perks in the game.

Iron will would only have no screams and no groans of pain. That is if they decide to use my idea ( i doubt it ). Also calm spirit is currently very underwhelming and definitely not worth a perk slot as not only do most killers not use crows to find survivors but the screaming aspect is so situational it would make very little impact on Iron will, moreso calm spirit.

Calm spirit is amazing. Even one or two survivors running it completely shuts down an infectious fright snowball, allows you to hide in lockers against an iron maiden huntress, brings the free anti-stealth opportunities of doctor down to zero, and prevents good killers from using crows to pinpoint locations in the area. I can't tell you how many times I would've passed a survivor by if they just hadnt disturbed one crow a few seconds ago flying back to its perch. The only people who could possibly see this as underwhelming are people that don't run the perk and people that don't utilize crows in tracking as killer.
I'm not saying its an outstanding perk, but it more than justifys a slot, which is more than can be said for some perks in the game.

The issue with the perk is that it's too specific. When it comes into play it's amazing, but there are a lot of games where it DOESN'T come into play making it hard to justify running.
Unless you are facing one of a few Killers or the Killer is running one of a few perks the only real benefit is the crows interaction, which while nice isn't needed since you can crouch by the crows anyways.
The amount of time saved by not crouching there isn't by itself enough to justify a perk slot. So the perk is a gamble, which can be hard to justify running even though it's extremely effective when it matters.

I understand that, and its a fair point, but every other perk in the game is the same way. Every time you run self care, or inner strength, there is a chance the killer will tunnel you off the hook every time you get unhooked so your perk never comes into play, leaving you wishing you brought more chase perks.
If you run DS and hit a killer that slugs for a fair portion after a survivor gets unhooked, than its worthless. Unless he grabs you and you hit that skill check, its a dead weight in your slot.
Same with Unbreakable for killers that don't slug. Same with Adrenaline if you don't live to see the gates powered.
EVERY PERK IN THE GAME has a situation where it won't come into play where another perk would've been more effective. Calm spirit just isn't meta so people don't run it. Its not about it being situational, because every meta perk is dependent on the situation you're put into by the killer.
I just find it funny people will run Adrenaline, DS, Unbreakable, Iron Will, and then complain when they go up against killers with infectious fright. They can have fun complaining about slug Oni, I'll have fun not having to worry about it.

Ive run it quite a few times to find its just far too situational to run everygame, and when it does work sure it works but I couldve been running another perk, then again the screaminf effect would be moved to iron will so you can run that instead (if the idea goes through) and you get no groans

Nah. I personally like the anti-screaming part of it. That would be the main reason anyone would really use it and getting rid of it...eh. Nobody gives a crap about disturbing crows these days.

Not all situations are created equal. The issue isn't that Calm Spirit isn't always super useful, but that the situations where it is useful don't come up that often. Unbreakable is indeed another good example of a perk with that quality.
However the difference between Calm Spirit's situationalness and most (but not all) other perks is that Calm Spirit is useful dependent on the Killers Build and not the situation.
Unbreakable let's you cover situations where it is optimal for the Killer to slug, this can allow you to change how you play safely even if the perk was technically never used, and every Killer needs to worry about you using the perk and not just specific Killers or build.
And perks like Adrenaline have conditions that are on the way. Completing all of the gens is something that you want to do in every game and is something you can force.
Stuff like that.

Like i said it would make more sense for it to also be a part of iron will
