What are your reasons to DC from a game?

What's something that makes you go "yeah im done with this match"

The reason I dc the most is ######### teammates. Not saying I'm a god in this game or anything,

but when I see 3 auras not doing anything and 0 gens got done after being chased for a decent amount of time I just disconnect cause I know the rest of the match is gonna be garbage and I just can't be bothered playing with such team.

What about you ?

this isn't dcing but if I get to second state on the hook like a minute into the game I just let myself die

    I don’t DC. Literally ever.

When I have to go (which is rare) or when something gamebreaking happened. Before Dedicated Servers, Lagswitchers were also a reason for me.

  • People can't really answer that. If they do, people who disagree are going to pile up on them in chat, and then things are gonna get heated really quickly.

Also, if anyone decides to be honest, they might end up getting an in game ban because they admitted to DCing for a poor reason.

So this topic is kinda going nowhere lol

When the survivors unhook you in front of the killer. Just toxic survivors in general.

Like my only issues if I could DC in peace would be:

As killer: Having a terrible map for a specific killer... i.e. nurse on the new map with tonnes of deadzones... I only just remembered now we can open doors so might just opt for that when I get it.

As survivor: Mori’s with a top tier killer and teammates with BT sandbagging one of my life-states.

Huntress hatchet down that clearly shouldn't have hit me, i always DC against Iri Head.

When teammates aren't doing gens while getting chased/tunneled or potato teammates in general

    Killer "Secret" Offering

When the killer gets an undeserved down (for example lagspikes not allowing me to run)

Shelter Woods/Hawkins as Survivor. Haddonfield when Killer

Not sure if i want add Spirit here, i don't see her much anymore and the few games i had against her after the patch weren't too bad

    Tunneling and Camping.

EDIT: Can't believe i forgot "When killer slugs for the 4k".

Technically, no one should even be saying unless its "When I have to go" because you're not supposed to DC and saying you do is technically encouraging DCing or whatever.

I don't DC though except on rare occasions... like...super rare. I'm against DCing and there's very few reasons people DC for that I actually agree with.

  • I have been temped to DC on the new map though, tbh, because it's too dark I cannot see anything I just keep running into walls as survivor and as killer.

Some trolls earlier used an offering and all the others ran thickens mist ######### so it was just a nightmare. I should have just D/C it was unplayable anyways.

I rarely DC because it should only be used in an emergency situation.

One time, a game was lasting for a hour because the killer was drawing out the game for as long as possible in a 3-gen strat. I only get a limited amount of time to play on the weekends to play (sometimes no time at all), so I got the killer's attention and pointed at a hook (I just wanted to get this game over with, so I can move on the next game). The killer instead slugged me and at that point, I DC'd because this game is just wasting too much of my time when I could be getting more XP and BP by simply moving to the next game.

I offered the killer to hook me, but they instead wanted to waste as much of my time as possible. That's why I love how you can leave the game when stuff like that happens, especially when you're stuck on a wall or bugged out.

Typically, if the game lasts too long, say 1 hour, and we're obviously going to lose (3 gen'd and two survivors left), I will just get the killer's attention and let them hook me. They usually do, but when they don't, I DC because I'm not going to waste my time not being productive.

    Game breaking bug.

I've never had a need to DC before.

Ive been getting stuck inside generators all day but I been waiting it out for the survivors

Game-breaking bug that prevents me from playing the game. That is it.

If I get lagged into oblivion. Not just a spike either.

The list of situations that you stay would be much shorter. :)

The only time I DC is if something comes up IRL and I actually have to go. Otherwise, if I simply don't want to be in the match, I'll just go let myself get hooked. Even then, it's just a game and I just go for points if I decide the game isn't worth trying to win.

I used to dc when others rage, quit now I just kill myself on hook, I have no interest playing a 3v1 or less. Wasn't there supposed to be d dc penalty coming? What happened to that? As a lot of my games in solo q somone dcs still

As a survivor, when you have a tunneling, camping killer, and you get farmed off the hook. If I'm being screwed out of points because people want to farm me off the hook, and killer wants to stay on my ass, then I have no use or time for that game. I'd rather leave and get into a new game, than to let a killer, or a farming teammate get any more points from me.

That was a hyperbole in case it wasn't clear. But still, pretty much everyone has one or two things that bothers them. Your list is long compared to them, seemed like you dc a lot.

Please note, we do not support DC'ing from the game - we also do not tolerate threads/comments on the forum about the same.
