Oni Instadowns
Hey guys. I’ve been finding it incredible hard to land the Onis instadown ability on console 😭
anybody got any tips ?

Big thing I learned on PTB when trying him out (this is on pc but pretty sure it applies to console as well) You do NOT have to fully charge the Demon Strike to get the insta down. While you can't just tap it (this gives a normal swing), even just holding it half a second and letting the charge bar fill even a little bit makes it an instadown. Still kinda hard to control and the lunge is much shorter but frankly it made it much easier get downs.

You can hold it for about .35 seconds to instadown people, similar to the minimum charge time for Demo's shred. Holding it gives you an extended lunge, even longer than Myers. It's super hard to control thanks to the janky camera movment. Shadowborn helps a ton with this.

You could wait until survivors are right underneath your feet, hold M1 for half a second, and bam, easy instadowns. Never charge it all the way unless you know for sure a survivor is going to jump a window or pallet, or if they are in a long straightaway, like the hallways in Hawkins. Charging it takes time, makes you go further if you miss, and gives survivors a huge amount of leeway with the time it takes to recover from a missed Demon Strike. It's a lot harder to hit on console due to sensitivity being trash with no options for it, but just give it some time and you'll get it down.
