Why is everyone so toxic at red ranks?
Just wanted too play Leatherface since I don't play him too often, met a nice SWF group.
I reported them but still, why be so toxic? Why play the game just too try and ruin someone else's day. It makes no sense too me. Games like these are why I can't play the game as much as I want, no one wants too be cursed and flammed because they wanted too have fun.
And yes, I did call them children, but I got heated and they were acting childish, 1v1 me.

Why people are toxic in video games? Because they have a sad real life + low self esteem and that's their only chance to make themselves feel good. 🤷

Yeah probably because they feel entitled to it since they “always know more than you”.
But yeah they mainly do it because their life is already down a hole.
And remember that a drowning man is always going take someone else with him.
Personally I don’t understand some people that well.

I had Nancy be a ######### to me. I tunneled and camped her but she still escaped with Adrenaline, SB, and her BT. She then privately messaged me and added the three other survivors in it. She kept whining about why I tunneled, camped, and slugged her body.
Not only that but she also ran a broken infinite on Rancid Abbatoir which made it even worse. I also remember her PSN to and I'll never forget it.

In that case there is something you could’ve done when she ran to the infinite you could’ve abandoned her if it was early in the game.
If it wasn’t I understand.
SWF suck the other day I was about to dodge a lobby that had 4 p3 Claudettes with flashlights and I was playing legion and had no mori.
Luckily somehow I got the treatment center ( smallest map in the game) so I didn’t have to worry about map pressure as much.
They kept popping up and disappearing until I started downing them, then they became very altruistic and started trying to flashlight me when I was looking at walls luckily.
I killed 3 of them final one escaped due to hatch and the one that escaped said “GG EZ” even though I hooked her 2 times.
and then the others followed up and started saying I was cheating because there was no way someone could kill as the legion without a mori.
I just shut down the chat.
sad people.

Does reporting people even do anything? It just feels like a waste of time tbh. Anyone I report I always see again a week later no matter how toxic they are.

I couldn't do anything in my situation. I was playing Demegorgon and it was late game.

Why do you pc folk read that chat? I'm not trying to be sarcastic or obnoxious here. People can be toxic jerks and if it bothers you, just leave. Don't even give people the chance.

Sometimes I question how people seems to parrot the idea that every match in Red ranks is toxicity after toxicity in the post game. When I get like 1 out of 10 matches in red ranks that there's a sour puss in the chat otherwise everything is just fine. GG then leave.
It's like one bad experience takes priority over the rest of the matches.

Played as Myers with scratched mirror on Gideon for "memes". 4k, 4 gen left - they called me an "tryhard monkey" after game. 🤣

BHVR are starting to knuckle down on those who break the rules (see changes regarding DCing). Reports sent in may help now or further down the line when tackling those who are abusive in-game.

Do what i did, press the arrow on the bottom of the chat. It hides the chat and stays hidden to other post game chats. If you don'd see what they write, you never get mad. I only turn chat on when i want to thank or congratulate someone, otherwise, it stays hidden all the time... nice feature to have the chat remember the last state you left it (hidden or shown).

When I play against Red Ranks on PS4 they're usually SWF who invite me to their party and then we all have a good time. Sometimes toxic but I have to deal with that at every rank

First of all, it is not everyone. Just yesterday:
Played a game as Billy and I sucked. All 4 got away, one of them (the person with the lowest point, the only Survivor I did not find at all): "gg ez"... The other 3 went against this one guy because he had by far the lowest points and should not write "ez" when it was not easy (the other 3 were on their Death Hook). This was kinda nice, I dont care that much if someone wants to trashtalk in Postgame Chat, but it is nice that 3 other Survivors (maybe they were a SWF) were not happy with that one Survivor.
And well, why is the DBD Community toxic? Because its a cheap game. The more expensive a game is, the nicer is the community. If you pay 60 Euros for a game, you will make sure that you are not banned at some point. If you pay 20 Euro for a game (or even 10, when on Discount), you might as well get a Ban, you can simply rebuy the game, if you like.
It is even worse with F2P-games. So yeah, from my experience in Onlinegaming, the more international and the cheaper a game is, the more toxic is the Community.
