Update: We have 2020. Still no advanced graphic settings.
Let players turn on or off Vsync, motion blur, Anti aliasing etc. Give us some advanced resolution settings and not just this bullshit slider from 2005.
Give players with low end PCs more options to boost FPS without turning the resolution down to 0 (for example shadows, fog, render distances etc).
Let players change aura and scratchmarks colour for people who are colourblind and can't see the default red colour.
Oh and please don't come up with the excuse of "competitive advantages" because
- if everyone has access to the settings it's not an advantage anymore
- much more competetive E-sports games have these options aswell, never was a debate in those communities

I'm very surprised this is not a thing yet.

Some setting won't be there due to the nature of the game.
We should have these options without having to edit our ini files:
- VSYNC toggle
- Refresh rate
- Anti-ailias toggle

AA would really be inside the game option already, it was so annoying having to go into the files.
V stuff would be nice too but I believe actions are tied to fps so they might have done that for those reasons.

Vsync has nothing to do with that as far as I know.
And I know only one game which behaves different on higher fps: dark souls. Having 60+ fps would cause some glitches, but these were rare and a disadvantage for the player and noone else. Oh and the community fixed that issue with a mod by themselves. And dark souls is stone old.
Besides, me and others run over 60 fps in dbd and don't see any issues compared to locked 60 fps

I'm currently playing with unlocked fps and had no issues so far.

Personally I've re-capped my FPS because I've experienced bugs specifically because of it. One example I can think of was a few months ago when entering the basement as a survivor caused you to not be able to leave. And it was confirmed it only happened if you had uncapped FPS.
I feel like messing with the .ini files in this game is just asking for bugs haha.

I remember that bug lol. I was playing with uncapped fps at that time. I recapped it and played like that for a long time. I decided to uncap it again recently, it's been going well so far.

Blur and antialising also gives me headaches

Yep I agree with you. Surprised advanced settings aren't a thing yet.
I'll also tack on the fact we don't have really any accessibility settings like color blind support as well.

Rather than advanced settings, I'd like to see more fluid animations, better facial animations. When someone screams, they should look the part, not be stiff like barbie.
Id also like to see more detailed modeling, as well is different character animations. Everyone seems like they all use the same running, crouching and struggling animations.
Different subject, but I'd also like to see a behind the scenes featurette showing us the devs working on the game and showing us the voice actors doing their jobs.

bhvr its 2019 stop being stuck in 2009 :O

I mean they're using a super old engine called Unreal Engine 4, so it'd be hard to make it run smoother and actually give a larger amount of sliders to adjust settings more appropriately. It's not like an engine is only as good as its game designers
Wait a minute..

UE4 is super old?

Don't worry guys, Dead by Daylight will leave the open alpha by 2030 :)
Meanwhile enjoy our new cosmetics, and rushed chapters, clogging up your SSD!
See you in the fog everyone!

Add color blind mode into it as well.

I mean they have kept producing content to keep players in the game. You whine about engine updates when scores of well made games die out every year when player numbers dip or they cant keep a community engaged, DBD is a pretty huge achievement in the success it has had, and if they stopped making content and cosmetics, player numbers would decrease, that's just the business.
(Compared to how some games deliver content and monetization, dbd is one of the fairer systems around imo.)
Dosn't mean that stuff like this isnt important, and I hope we get better graphics options. At least things like vsync as mentions, but even so, the meta and game has changed a lot from alpha, early on stealth was so ingrained into the game that the choices to lock everyone to the sasme settings made sense.
That isnt the case so much anymore, and the lighting in ue4 is good enough now that you should be able to keep stealth effective without locking out settings. (If people really want to see survivors in the dark and be sweaty, they can make the game look awful and use ansel type things now anyway.)
I do hope we get one season as an operation health type deal, take a few weeks to not add as much and revamp the base game a bit. I hope dbd is around for years and years, and there are probably some fundamental things that need to be updated to bring it up to competitors.

What are you on about???
Having an option to toggle vsync on or off ingame is just a few lines of codes. The option is already available, but simply not implemented in the ingame interface. Are seriously trying to justify this lack of option (since release) with DLC content??
2 -
Because we can do it anyway? Its a convenience at this point, it would be nice to get these options but its hardly game breaking without them.

It's ...really bad to see any game these days without these.options. it speaks of the devs.

@Peanits @not_Queen @McLean can we have any words about it? Please, the community is begging you for these basics! Make your supporting and loyal community this little favour

Since someone necro'd this.
It is 2020 and still no advanced graphic settings.

You're complaining about graphics while console can't play with Keyboard and mouse, has the worst sensitivity I ever saw in a game and consistent Fps drops. Really?

Yes
