Sure you can. Just inflict penalties to people in the same group. Does not mean it is a good idea, but you can hypothetically do it.

they just need to add voice chat ofcourse with mute option so u can mute toxic a**holes and make kindred basekit boom solos are now at par with swfs then they are free to create strong killers

The whole situation with swf is a stupid problem with a stupid simple solution that the devs bafflingly for three years now refuse to look into it or ask us about it.
JUST MAKE VOICE CHAT READ MY LIPS, "OPTIONAL" FOR EVERYONE! Off by default unless you op in like in Destiny.
The matches would be more consistent between the two and we can make powerful perks and killers without needing to waste resources on making perks or reworking for solos because swf's have the perks for free on voice chat.
Killers will stop dodging swf and they'll also stop having matches where they have to play sweaty just because they suspect they're playing against swf.

You can't nerf SWF. The devs aren't going to punish people for playing with friends, anyway, so it's not even an issue.
The thing most people are asking for is to buff solo survivors so that they're on more even ground with SWF. The way to buff solos without also buffing SWF is just to provide more information. SWF already have a ton of information if they're on comms because they can freely communicate with each other. Solos don't have this communication, so if they want information they have to rely on perks like Bond, Empathy, and Kindred; this makes them weaker than SWF who do not need to run information perks because they can just talk on comms.

Devs stated multiple times that they had to decide at release with what mode to go, it was between kyf / swf and they went with kyf. You know as much trashtalk you like to do, they knew back then they can not keep people from playing together or use voice coms in a game released where this has been around for decades at the time.
Yes you can not apply mali to swf, because why punish people for playing together? You can just adjust balance around the highest possible 4man swf all good survivors and actually good killers.
Balance for noobs around rank 20 is useless. The other thing at least gives people an idea of what is possible and what actually can be done so they know where they have to improve.

People are able to streamsnipe so trying to "snipe" your friend is no different and easier with no stream delay. It also depends on the rank and day. Day 1 of rank reset is ofc going to be more difficult than last day before.

I know. I just disagree with even the hypothetical intro of the idea. I mostly play killer myself, but the devs have the right idea that they need to bring solo players up to SWF level, and then balance around that. If they actually do it or not remains to be seen, but that's literally the only way to do it.

It would create more spaghetti code and we don't need more. Because DBD would treat SWF survivors in the code separately from solo survivors (and probably 2-man SWF groups separately from 3 and 4-man SWF groups).
Too much redundancy, there will be even more nuances to consider during balancing for new content, that's why the other way round makes so much more sense, also for other reasons.

If I was a DEV of a commercial game like DBD I'd probably say no, it's not possible, in the context of the game. Considering that there's a much more elegant solution, which is more generic, creates less code, needs less balancing in the future, can create less bugs etc.
But just theoretically, sure...theoretically anything's possible.

The point is people would still do it and it would punish everyone. The killers would sit in lobbies while survivors constantly left and came in looking for their friends.

A good "Nerf" would simply be labelling SWF groups with an icon, Entity Claws for example, over the names of all members in the group so Killers can be aware of what they are getting into and, if they so choose, let them dodge it.

Not everyone wants to go against a team on comms, and since you can't prevent that and they can't really balance around comms in DBD, it's only fair Killers get to choose.

No. Then lobby dodging would be at an all time high. Matchmaking has enough issues without screwing it over with that. Again, balancing around SWF is the only way. Literally every other way is wrong.

That's the thing. Theoretically anything is possible, it just depends on the energy you can invest into it, in theory. But we are not interested in theory, so it boils down to the question: is it worth the effort? And in this case the answer is "no".
