I've spent double the time looking for a game than I actually have playing the game ever since like June.

Killer queues are anywhere from 10 - 20 mins for me UNLESS I'm playing at about 10pm EST US.
Then they are about 5-10 minutes. Anytime during the day or afternoon they are horrendous and thats with 20K+ people playing at the time too.
Survivor Queues are taking longer than normal for me lately but those are 3-5 Mins MAX.
Previously (few months ago) they were instant.

Gone AFK and completely forgotten I had started a game like 3 times. I remember one time I finally got my silent bell addon for Wraith and purple Windstorm so I started up a game, but I fell asleep before it started lol, was very depressing

I've had longer killer times than normal, which is weird because at that rank they're usually filled super-fast. Survivor wait times are even longer than I'm used to, 5-8min only to get a lobby dodge or a load DC so you see 3 seconds of map before the end screen.
I think maybe swimsuit cosmetics might attract more players and thus alleviate the issue. Yeah, I mean for both killers and survivors ~_^

Not sure what region you're getting this, but my killer queue's are always instant. The survivor ones are the 15-20min queue times.

Everyone who are always complaining about killer queue times (especially on US East) should come play killers on the PS4 - it's always instantaneous (except when maybe there is a bloodhunt).
People should also remember that even if matchmaking is working properly, the queue time would still depend on the killer/survivor ratio (ideally killer population is always 20%) in your 1. Gaming platform, 2. Geolocation (region of your server) and 3. Rank. So just saying "queue times are long" doesn't give much information to solve it. I do wish there was an option to put those 3 info next to our forum names so we know where members' experiences are coming from.

Im on PC, and killer queues are pretty instant for me as well. I tend to like spending the queue times by spending BPs on the bloodweb and such, but cant really do that when I get a lobby so fast, lol.

Crazy - haven't played killer in a few months, but survivor used to be instant queue, now it's like 5+ minutes since dedicated servers are out.
I suspect they are holding us in some sort of lobby limbo until they collect everyone.

I've done this twice by accident and they reported me for AFK.
If I ever get banned for a rare accidental AFK because it takes half a century to find a match, I would just stop playing the game forever- seems it isn't an issue though as BHVR are not trigger happy with that kind of thing thankfully.

That's weird. For survivor (mostly at night time), I usually wait between 2 to 5 minutes for a match and as killer I wait 30 seconds or less! Don't know if it's a rank thing because since the last release I've been getting better matchups (mostly survivors and killers of my rank or at least the same color), but it's weird. I've been playing a lot more killer than I used to because of that. Still play more as survivor but sometimes I kinda feel forced to play as killer because of queue times.
Even got that on video!

What platform do you play on? Because I've been having the opposite happen to me on PS4 since the last release. I'm constantly getting matched up with players 5 to 6 ranks better than me. I'm Rank 10 by the way.

@Viracocha72 I'm on steam. Yesterday I got to play against purple ranks as killer (I'm rank 12/13, always changing between those 2). As survivor I'm red rank and haven't got anything above rank 6 since last release (at least that I had noticed).

Sitting at Rank 1 for both killer and survivor on PS4, it's funny when I find a killer game in less than one minute, and yet it takes ages to find a lobby as survivor.

Everyone wants to play them, so the queues take forever.

Question, what rank are you? If you are in the 20-13 zone queues will take approximately 15-20 minutes if not longer to find. And survivors are quick.
However, if you are in high ranks then its harder to find a match as a survivor. Killers are almost instant in high ranks for me (record wait time was like 2 min in high ranks)
Noticed this pattern when playing with multiple accounts.

I never wait as survivor. Sometimes I think the game uses me as a placeholder, because there's too many killers. Because if I leave a lobby that doesn't seem to be filling and rejoin, 9/10 I enter a full lobby. It's rare for me to wait longer than 5mins and I'm not even in a high population country.
