Is it just me or does it seem like everyone that uses Ghostface plays the same way?

They find a spot to hide after hooking the first survivor since they can crouch and have no terror radius and tunnel until everyone dies or DC's. He's literally a Meyers that can crouch and hide like pig with zero draw back. Becoming the king of tunneling since he has no terror radius he has unlimited insidious....am I the only one that sees this? I can't even blame people for DCing and it's disgusting to hear the killer brag afterwards for being a trash killer and what I consider an exploit to be honest.... Does anyone else see this or am I just getting really unlucky? I'm rank 5 after loosing a few ranks trying rift challenges...

I've had a few just recently and unfortunately the last one downed one survivor who instantly disconnected because of the add ons I imagine but then he came for me and as soon as he hooked me, his terror radius went away and eventually someone unhooked me and he was right there to down and hook me again. He was rank 2. I play solo survivor and killer but I'm rank 10 killer because I don't try very hard and usually only sacrifice when I need dailies or rift challenges since I feel it's so killer sided unless going against a good SWF team. It's easy to tell the difference.

Exactly what OP says is what I run into in red rank on PS4. I don't run into The Ghost Face that often but when I do that's his play style. I do think that there are some add-ons and powers and abilities that don't have enough drawback.

i never see a ghostface do this but I can only imagine they do this for a daily challenge. Since you have to peek the corner then hit the marked survivor. Ghost face’s power can be difficult to use in higher ranks because you waste too much time and get exposed way too quickly. The play style I always see people use is use shroud and get an M1 hit quickly. And If the chase lasts long enough they use the power to mind game loops.

I hardly see GF stalk people.. his power kinda sucks on that side I more see them just use it to hide the terror radius and red stain to get those grabs or first hits.

  • They are doing 4k0c. 4 kills 0 (or minimal) chase. It's not as easy as you think

I don't know how anyone can play ghostface seriously. I have so much fun memeing with him that can't play serious games. I love to down people, t-bag them for a few seconds and moonwalk away, play peek-a-boo at windows or hide somewhere and just wait for people to come by me so I can jump out at them. He's very much my de-stress killer after a rough game.

I've seen a couple camp-y ghostfaces but it's normally only the first couple hooks or the last hook. Once they get momentum they start to move around more since people think you're camping and you can get easy hits. When there are two people left it's a fairly safe play to hide nearby the hooked person as a stealth killer to see if they come for them. That's only in my experience though and people tend to play however they feel like.

I only play like 50% survivor, but I've seen this a lot. From the comments, ymmv. I think it might be region and platform based due to matchmaking, whereas people see this done and then mimick it. So, it might be more common in certain geographical areas. I play PC in the EU, for what it's worth.

I've never faced that Ghost Face myself as a survivor.

As a killer, I do that when I play for rituals, but it's not an efficient playstyle (for me at least). Skilled survivors always manage to escape except if they're overaltruistic.

I 3-4k rather easily with GF, but if I want to I rarely use the stalk/expose ability, only the shroud to be undected AND detect survivors (as you have an alert when someone sees you)

You are not funny at all. In every thread the same Bullshit...

    @Topic:

I first thought you mean "Only Stealth, no Stalking" when reading the Title. I have not run into many Ghostfaces playing like that. Sure, you have those "I have 70 IQ and can hide my Terror Radius, so I camp"-players, but I have seen them more playing Wraith. But overall, the Ghostfaces I verse are not camping or tunneling.

No I'm talking seriously. Him and Oni are the most OP killers in the game. I want them to be trash, ehhh I mean fun

I'm a Ghostface main and I've never felt the need to camp or tunnel at a hook. I rarely use the Mark ability since they usually spot me just as it nears full. I mostly just mask my TR to sneak up on them at a Gen when they're not paying too much attention. When they get hooked, I go off to Gens in search. I don't see a need for camping a hook as GF really. That's just a cheap way to get a down/kill and I like my matches to be fair on both sides.

GF is average honestly. The playstyle of camping and tunneling works on nearly every killer. Leatherface is even better than GF.

I play ghost face and I run bbq ruin thrilling tremors and devour hope I don’t camp because I don’t get my stacks for devour I’m always running and chasing the survivor that unhooked the injured one just so I can make sure I don’t tunnel it’s not a viable strategy and neither is camping even with a toxic swf group what you have maybe one or two bad games as a killer and you get all salty survivors running the right build are bully’s the right killer running the right build is “op” watch Monto and you will see anyone can make a killer good it’s just what works best for you as a survivor except the death move on it’s a game and if it’s driving you that mad stop playing this game is filled with too many ungrateful people exspecially the runs that just join these things learn to play learn what perks work best for you and run with that it’s you who is having a off game and not having fun when in reality it’s nothing to get but hurt about survivors we’re op killers are to op stop just stop play the game die or don’t die kill or don’t kill not every game will work in your favor and tbh tunneling and camping have been a issue for a long time they have tried to solve that but sweaty try hard killers ######### about survivor perks now the perks that we’re suppose to prevent those from happening are very very very situational I mean hell the killer still have a vacuum to the hook but the survivors can’t vacuum through pallets the game has a serious balance issue that everyone wants to blame on someone else’s game play why don’t you actually look at real issues with the game instead of petty #########

If you good with any killers well there is no need to camp but if you got annoyed and camp well I understand but camp because you can't get a kill well that is depressing and learn how to play well if not and will play like that as a killer well don't play as a killer if wanna play wrong.

  • Mikeasaurus
    Mikeasaurus Member Posts: 2,327

This is why I never camp. I know I'm far from the best killer, and at most, I can get maybe 2 kills per match, depending on how good the survivors are at looping. Worst case scenario, I get 1 kill, and down a couple in EGC, but at that point I usually just give them the Hatch, or carry to the exit. Anyone who needs to camp/tunnel are usually the desperate ones who can't get a kill, or can't face losing pips/ranks, which IMO ruins the experience. The games not all about Ranks or kills, it's about having a good time.

I see Ghostfaces do this all the time. It’s come to the point where my usual swf buddy instantly DCs the second we figure out its Ghostface. I don’t really blame her either, a lot of GF players play exactly the way OP described.

Haven't been seeing those types on PS4 as of today and thank god. A Ghost Face using half or none of his power is a weak Ghost Face main.

  • heartstone_malone
    heartstone_malone Member Posts: 65

That's cheeseface for you: Cheap insta-downs, with no counterplay. They shouldn't have to camp/tunnel but they do and still complain that he's "average" or "weak".

His counterplay WAS Object but that was nerfed because ironically, ppl can't tunnel the pink glowey person and they cried for nerfs. So now you just sit and wait for the red circle and teabags.

I'm a GF main and I never play that way. If you play that way against red or purple rank, your going to lose unless it's a sack of potatoes. His stalk is pretty much useless and should never be used unless it's perfectly convenient. The key to success w GF is juggling the survivors while running sloppy and nurses. Keep them injured, sloppy makes it harder to heal, nurses will tell you WHEN and WHERE there healing, and shroud has them always on edge because they never know where you are, or when your coming, and most are 1 hit downs now because of sloppy.

Most likely doing daily challenge. I never did this unless it was a daily. Mainly because i hate the stalking side of Ghostface.

  • AvisDeene
    AvisDeene Member Posts: 2,396

I don’t have enough perks to consistently play my GF. I play him for the daily ritual, and it’s kinda hard to stalk them around the corner when they’re always looking for you or when you have a bunch of grass everywhere. So in order to prolong the game I’ll just moonwalk while twerking to get the survivors a sense of security to go back to gens.

I had one person cuss me out and threaten to report me in chat afterwards because I was wasting his time. How dare I farm for blood points, and that I was supposed to chase him for the whole game.

I thought about being a toxic killer Once I finish unlocking all the perks I want and level up my killers of choice. But now I decided that once I do get to where I want to be, I will just never chase tbagging flashlight clicking turds. They want to be toxic, I’ll withhold the chase from them.

And I will always farm with survivors if someone suicides in first hook, or dcs. It’s not fair for their teammates. Devs need to do something such as reduce the amount of generators required for each dc.

Even if I played Ghostface like that I feel like there are better killers to tunnel as anyway so I don't really see a point to playing like that. And I've personally never had to go against a Ghostface that did this either

    Oni?

    OP?!?

    That is hilarious!

Oni is garbage on console and he has been nerfed from PTB, GhostFace is also not op as you literally need to get behind cover and reveal him

When I had a GF do this to me I just just broke him out of shroud from the hook. It's on the hooked player to kill this strategy.
