The one part of them that got me Co cerned was that the known issues part had already been typed up and was ready to go.
Now this could've just been the ptb but would it have made sense to release the known issues part of the patch notes maybe. Two or three days after the ptb launches? Because some problems could get fixed before release and some new ones could rise up

I don't like how the players are the main QA team for the game.
We "test" the ptb with the known issues and bugs, and gain a false sense of how a killer plays which leads to a great deal of misinformation and disappointment.
I would rather not be able to test the killer and watch as bhvr hires a team to balance new content and locate the big bugs before releasing it to the players.
I don't know how development goes internally, but I do know that allowing players to play content before it's ready rarely ends in a positive way.
They hype train crashes into reality with a spectacular explosion of nerfs and the debatable view of balance by the devs.
They've made millions from DbD... these bugs and decisions should have more money thrown at them in order to create a game experience that is actually worth a purchase.
The Oni himself has been nerfed into mediocrity and his perks are for new players and a very niche use. Neither of which make for a good value, which is why I've stopped purchasing cosmetics and new content with cash or cells until there is at least the appearance of improvement in the quality of content that is being sold.
I will probably end up spending money on other projects that I'm excited for since bhvr seems averse to hiring more people to work on dead by daylight and would rather sink that money into other projects like Deathgarden...

This has been my complaint for 2 years. BHVR has one of the worst QA processes out there. This game could be in much better shape if they hired a proper QA team to test and balance. Think of the long term money that would be saved.
You would not have near as many man hours wasted on fixing what they broke. The player base would likely grow and become more stable. They would save future headaches from a 'lesson learned' process that a true QA brings.
By having players do it there is way too much bias. The data is flawed by awkward skill levels. They have to take into account silly crap like DCs, first hook suicide, face camping just to grief, etc. Lots of wasted crap on the PTB. I stopped using it. Too many players DC or throw matches and you can't test things that way.

Freddy creation, freddy rework, perk overhaul, legion rework, numerous bugs in every update...
Probably more stuff but I don't want to bother searching for all of it, but all of those changes and reworks possibly cost the company more resources than it would if they did things right the first time...
Measure twice. Cut once.

*rolls eyes* Do you ever have anything positive to say? It’s always how you’ve been “wronged.” I’m a killer main, and I don’t like a lot of things that have happened. But jeez I refuse to act like a victim all the time. I paid money for the base game as well as each chapter and each I believe was and is worth it. If you think that laying cash down on the base game and taking some hard stance on the way they change it going forward allots you some sort of preferential treatment, you’re wrong. I’ve been supporting it. And honestly since I’ve been supporting it I should have more say.

I'm positive the game would be better if the balance focus shifted away from mid skill players to higher skilled players. Not the tippy top 1% of high skilled players but maybe closer to the skill level of the top 25%.
Clearly define what a win is.
Then fix the ranking system to accurately measure skill based on this win condition.
These changes would create a stable foundation where balance changes would have a less arbitrary goal than "fun". The game as a whole would be easier to balance with every other problem the game has falling in line like sand shifting into place within a jar full of rocks.
I must love the game more than you do since you're willing to simply accept it as it is without criticizing the faults in hopes that the game becomes better than it is.
In away, it's because of the "whiners" like myself that the game has come as far as it has.
So maybe complacency is less valued than you'd like it to be.

*rummages around* nope sorry. I don’t have a self congratulatory medal for you. Honestly I wouldn’t call it “whining” I’d call it bitching. You’re one of the people that things can never be good enough. Like self improvement is good. But that’s also not enough. Even when you provide compliments they’re the most meaningless and backhanded things.

Riddle me this then: the current season has been the worst one I have had since I started playing. I gather players are meant to improve their game by er actually playing, which is what I do, not be moribund at one rank the entire season.
Yes I admit I was trying to do the rift challenges at one point, and I have the 15 Red emblems one currently, which I am slowly progressing. Its worth 30,000 blood and 3 fragments. There is a good chance I will end up at 70 before I finish the emblems challenge.
You mention the game should focus on the top 25% of players for "balance" rather than mid skill. Thats why at the lower end letting players use perks from other characters before adepting them should be a requirement. The reason it is not is that adepting killers is nigh on impossible due to the stringent requirements that must be met.
I have 500 plus hours in the game and I really do think players that rank up quickly are simply more skilled at learning the game. It makes me wonder if your "top 25%" is really focused on players who are rank 8 or higher?
