Why doesn't Kindred trump undetectable?
One of the reasons kindred is so helpful for solo que is because it shows the aura of the killer, but if a killer is still nearby with undetectable up they completely bypass kindred's affects. Why isn't this a thing? I think a whole perk slot should counter undetectable.

I miss when kindred could be anti camp for any killer besides a tier 1 myers

But then the one and only Killer power would be undone because of one perk. Fair enough in terms of insidious, but Killers like Wraith and Ghostface shouldn't have their entire element removed from them just because a perk was used by a Survivor.

"I think a whole perk slot should counter undetectable."
Let's make stealth killers useless with 1 perkslot.
5 -
Insidious shouldn't have undetectable to be honest stupid change
4 -
Yeah the whole status change thing is just confusing. Insidious should just take away TR and nothing else (looking at you Bubba!)

Nice name.

Because knowing if someone was camping with undetectable would make a whole killer useless?
7 -
No, because taking the stealth part of their power away makes them useless over other killers, i.e. why play Wraith, GF, etc. They would be pointless because an easily equippable perk (which is absolutely amazing as is btw) takes their power away. That is not balanced at all.
Punish the Killer for poor gameplay by gen rushing and forcing them to depip on the 1K if you can't save the hooked Survivor. Playing hero gets you killed for no reason.

I suppose it should if the perk's porpuse is to let you know when you can make a safe unhook.

If you're camping and the survivor has kindred on you should be punished for that. You're saying punish the killer for camping when you don't know if the killer is camping? Your points are literally contradicting each other.

They would not be pointless because kindred has a radius. If the killer is not camping, kindred won't affect their stealth. Your argument that kindred showing undetectable people in a certain range of the hook makes their power useless is simply not true. Walk away from the hook and do something else. Easy

As stated numerous times, camping is a strategy recognised by the devs. It is a poor strategy but it is still one that is completely fine with the game's rules. My last point covers what to do if you find out the hooked survivor is camped.
Why do killers need to follow a handbook for Survivors? Just get on with doing gens.

Then they should move 16 meters or more from the hook, especially camping ghostfaces who just like to sit there and stalk the saver.

A killer has the right to play how they want as long as its following the rules of the game.

Just a reminder for everyone who forgets.
These are not issues, and no amount of complaining about them will make them go away.
1 -
You're right but I still agree with OP, kindred should work on undetectable. You want to camp you flip the coin that survivors have it or not.
1 -
I disagree as it would open a can of worms to other perks. OoO was bad enough when it revealed stealth killers. I do not wish to see a repeat of this in the future.

people thought gen tapping was reportable lol
2 -
Yeah! I'm confused by that one myself haha.
0 -
"It's not reportable so it's not an issue" is really bad logic. The same killers who argue "camping is a valid strategy" are the same ones that complain about ds and other survivor strategies.

DS is in the game, it isn't going to die and Killers have to deal with that too. Camping is the same, and this strategy is not used at the better ranks as everyone knows how to deal with it as it will give you an insta-loss.
If something is part of the game, you have to unfortunately play around it as much as you can. Both sides have to. Try playing Killer at the better ranks and you'll see that you cannot camp in order to do anything.
Bad killers will camp a Survivor out. I also want to make it clear that every Survivor coming in for the save as soon as the Survivor was hooked wouldn't be camping as the Killer is literally being offered free hits/downs for nothing.

I think you're really dense or really confused. I'm not arguing camping isn't a thing or camping should be reportable. I'm saying kindred should trump stealth killers like it used to, that's it's purpose. It's supposed to be an info perk and an anti camping perk.

No need for nastiness, it would be nice to keep these discussions civil.
I'm saying that because of perks in the past like OoO being able to reveal stealth killers that giving Kindred the ability to do the same would open the floodgates for other perks to get this too.
It's purpose is to tell you if someone is going for the save already, not just if the killer is nearby. It's an info perk, but not an anti-camper perk any longer. That was the point.

Make camping useless with 1 slot more like
0 -
No, it was only to tell you if someone was already going for the save. Nothing more.
0 -
Why show the killer's aura then? There must be a reason, I wonder what could that reason be.
0 -
On Killers that aren't Stealth Killers and don't rely on that to be their power, yeah. In any case, if the devs really feel like it is that big an issue they can just implement it.
I'm just saying that people will use the buff as an excuse for other perks to get the same treatment, and everyone knows how much OoO got abused when GF got released.

Kindred is not an anti-camping perk, it has never prevented a survivor from being camped. It is a perk of information gathering and group cohesion.
A camping killer doesn't care if the other survivors see him or not. He stays there, in front of the hook, does nothing, waiting for Godot. Between griefing and AFK.
Regarding Kindred and Indetectable status... I understand, but the problem is not really Kindred, it is still and always camping.
However, in the absence of a real developer fight against camping, I agree. Kindred's effect should be stronger than Indetectable status and reveal the aura (only). Otherwise, this status may encourage camping. If the killer does not camp and stays close to the hook for a valid reason, it is probably that he does not need his stealth: he must chase the other survivor. This stealth killer will regain all his abilities a little further. :)
