Is console getting the Deathgarden masks?
I have almost 1 million BP and want to spend them on a survivor I've never mained but will only level up meg if she gets the mask. Is it coming to console or staying as a PC exclusive?

We have zero idea as of now, that doesn't mean we can't or won't get it but it's completely undecided currently.

Deathgarden won't be coming to console, which means that it's very unlikely that the mask will either, unless the devs decide to just give it to console players anyway. So I wouldn't hold your breath.

How does a DG cosmetic compare to legacy? Anyone on pc gets DG masks for free without any work meanwhile legacy had to be earned through work.Doesn't seem similar to me.

because DeathGarden the game was PC exclusive at the time that the masks came out, and since the game will never come to console, neither will the cosmetics.

You do know that BHVR still owns DG right? If they please they can just port over the cosmetics not a big deal for them.

I'm not really familiar with any of this but didn't they also recently say they don't want to do any exclusive going forward and that's why they gave away all the cosmetics? So them saying they won't do it, was that before or after the Cosmetic philosophy change.

I don't believe they have actually stated anything definitive with regards to the Deathgarden mask. The only reason to believe that console players won't be able to acquire it is because the conditions for doing so are not accessible to console players.
It's possible that they will grant the mask to console players regardless, on the grounds that they want to minimise platform-exclusive cosmetics. It's also possible that they won't grant the mask to console players on the grounds that those who acquired it on PC had to pay money to do so (although now that Deathgarden is free-to-play, that's less true than it once was) and/or that it doesn't face the same issues with third-party reselling that many of the code-based cosmetic items did. We won't really know until the devs decide to issue an official statement on the subject.

Can people on PC get the cosmetic for free now since DG is free? I wouldn't know since I bought them game. If this is the case, then it would make sense for the mask to come out on console.

Yep. I never bought Deathgarden, but I downloaded it after it became free-to-play and I now have the mask in DBD. As I outlined in my comment above, though, there are other reasons why the devs might still decide not to give it out to all players.

Since they decided to not grant the event cosmetics to all players it might mean that they also won't grant DG masks to console players. If the mask can be acquired on PC for free now that DG is free, it's really just up to the devs at this point.

They've never said that. If they did, please find me the source. Also, they just gave out 14 PC exclusive cosmetics to console. Not sure why you think they wouldn't do the same here.
