Is this really to much asked for? (winter event)
So again like in summer: no event.
Alright alright, I get it, you want to focus on other stuff. But is it really to much asked for to at least just:
- Copy paste the bloodweb theme from last winter
- Copy paste the menu winter theme from last years (with the music theme)
- Copy paste the hook, gen, firebin etc decoration from the last years
- Give us mystery boxes with high rarity stuff, crackers etc?
I feel like it's to lazy at this point, it's basically just copy pasting from already existing code.

They are on vacation and that copy pasting could may cause a horrible bug, that reverts the controls of all players or some #########.

I’m guessing after the recent basement bug, they’re scared of anything like that happening while they’re gone? What kept them from doing this last year?

Imagine actually thinking that enabling an entire event, even if previously used, is just a matter of "copy and paste".

I’m sad! I was ready to get more party starters on my Quentin. I wish we could at least get the lights. No need for a full blown event with new currency and cosmetics. Just a small thing to add to holidays. Oh well

If copy pasting TEXTURES causes bugs they should quit coding and hire competent coders cuz they make something wrong in the core.

(It's just textures, 4head. Imagine trying to act smart but not knowing anything. I created my own textures and even some whole new weapons in dark souls, what have you accomplished to think you know much more?)

Also, I can't help but notice you claim to have studied X, Y and Z yet don't claim to have any actual qualifications? I could audit a lecture and claim to have "studied" there.
Regardless, let's not pretend that they would have to reinvent the wheel. The textures and items already exist. It's not that complicated.

I also feel your use of "updated, significantly" and "MULTIPLE TIMES" to be a bit of an exaggeration... There was an engine upgrade. It's not like they are starting from scratch and have to brainstorm an event to implement. It's literally adding currently in game items into the bloodweb loot table (they don't even have to add the gift box icons) and some small visual changes (I think most would be satisfied with a winter menu theme).
If qualifications have nothing to do with it than why did you feel the need to state that you've "studied game design and digital marketing, both at Concordia College in Montreal".
As for suggesting that I pull my "nose out of this", may I remind you that this is a public forum. If you don't want people to respond to comments you make where you attempt to insult other individuals then I suggest you not comment such things (at least not publicly).

No. They can't, because no one did a proper documentary about the sourcecode. Only a few developers find a way through dae spaghetti code.

Not gonna lie, I was really sad to hear there was no event.
Events in games, at least for me, kinda fill me with that holiday spirit, ya know?
Like it's all snowy outside, christmas movies are on repeat, you're drinking cocoa, and there is a winter event in your favorite game. That's the good stuff.
So no event really bummed me out. Feels like I got coal in my stocking :(

Adding some more options into the graphics settings (toggle for AA, motionblur, v_sync) isn't too much either. 3 years later, do you see them in the options? Nope. Took them over 2 years to even implement a different visual for flashlight blinds on killers side.

Yeah it's always a special feeling, the snow outside, being inside with cozy clothes, hot chocolate and playing a game with a winter event in it. Really sad, makes it very "dull" (if that's the correct term to describe it) :/

The bloodwebs, the lobby, and some lights. We had all these things last year.
We no longer get events the Anniversary, Summer, Halloween and now Christmas were all MASSIVE disappointments.
Events bring back players and recruit new players but hey why do something like that.

Do you actually think that it's as easy as that? Even Blizzard gets bugs when they do events. So I'm guessing by your attitude, you don't have a lick of knowledge about coding. Maybe don't be an insulting arse?

I thought about tagging Peanits just to get a short statement if reviving old events is somehow a possible thing as alternative to creating new ones. But this thread is somehow moving into a direction I would not want to direct officials to. And I from my POV would love to ignore insulting requests like that if I was an official, waiting for a post that is at least a bit respectful

Unfortunately, it seems people just have a narrow idea about it. They want something "fresh and new." Let the devs take a break already. I'm pretty sure the next event will be Winter event mixed in with archives.

That was already mentioned in the second last stream I think. They did not want do do new events anymore and the currency to buy new cosmetics will be achievable through the rift, not through the event. This is how it will look like in the future.

Wrong. I'd be happy about the same event as last year. Give us the theme, bloodweb with gifts/crackers and hook/gen skins. If i look at the challenges right now, i'm not looking forward to future events linked to them.

They already said they were doing less events so they could work on better gameplay issues. Thank goodness they have made it so much better by erasing survivor sounds when a killer is in chase and only letting dead hard work half of the time. Be thankful for your quality of life fixes. Haven't you noticed how fewer....haven't you noticed....haven't you noticed how fewer bugs there are?? All a winter event would do is add fireworks to the game for the 17th time. Enjoy your non-event.
Though I would have loved a 5 day Double BP. Screw it...I want a triple BP Event!
Now go spend 10 bucks on DWELF and hush!!

Shhh. Devs need time to make another rift. A cute little event that has always happened and a lot of people look forward to isn’t important. The rift is, and maybe some bug fixes too. But mostly the rift.
